Why do you do this to yourself
Looks awesome don't get me wrong
Also what's the build contest Im hearing about
I am stupid and the activities announcement confuses me
its for the winter one
alzo i just enjoy building lol
i hope it goes to starboard or something
or atleast gets 3rd place
put a shit ton of effort into it
i think its in announcemnts
Ouhh
Can you access the boiler room?
I found the door to the pylon cave
Oh I see the doorway now
Just use a mannequin
What is the red and green on the roof?
mangrove
massive brain
acacia was fun this was torture
its technically survival friendy tho
more trees incoming until i become tree expert
this baby is probably next
ive never made a single tree lol
i forgot TO PAINT ONE OF THE BANNERS GREEN
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
i just submitted it
its half purple
shdfasjghsag
applications and shi
i dont think ive ever seen a active staff member
lol ping a dev and "ur game sugs1!!"
minecraft beter
- event helper you apply to @silent skiff
- event coordinator idk but i think apps open every once in a while in #server-announcements
- same applies for mod with once in a while #server-announcements apps
do you have any jungle builds? i need some refrences
Laputa is technically a jungle build but I am sure that's not what ur referring to so no castle in the sky flex today
Some of these are like really old
ive seen that build 100 times lol
Every time the topic of what's ur proudest biggest build drops I drop a pic lolll
Overall jungle is my most consistent biome ngl, the moment I started making stuff in it it's been mostly a solid style since
Maybe cause I don't build fucking asian stuff god bless
Cause I was shite at that until recently
Would have tarnished my jungle collection with some unpolished shit
What's the trunk?
I was messing around with overgrown
It's got no relevance to nothing but me wanting to do a little switch up on the overgrown fantasy with overgrown apocalyptic
https://www.pinterest.com/3hourssleep247/building-references/ my gallery i s HUGE now
No need to post on Pinterest u got me covered LOL
123 is quite small
What I had no balls to post on Reddit you can find in amino
bruh
do note I usually avoid saving generic stuff like houses
I have a lot downloaded but I straight up just not do it unless I really know I can't find it
just saw this on reddit earlier, didnt realize it was you. very creative with the big leaves and the trunk
Can't be getting away with unspecified origin strange plant tree for the rest of time
This is definitely absolutely under no circumstances born from me joining a server
That's completely disconnected to the fact it's master mode survival
lol..
I'm in no way learning trees because I cannot be bothered to farm strange plants
this is what my reference page looks like, I saw yall were talking about pinterest. the program is called pureref its pretty cool, idk how I found it
oh I remember pureref
I just keep everything as a PNG file and call it a day
I have
Folders
And also discord
I made my own server for a project and then just committed a whole lot of locked channels for terraria projects
Is a little more organized
Between the ten ref pages on the internet
The?
do you have a gallerlryry of all ur builds plx
nope
Indu
I should make one of these
I mean you could just go through my reddit
Indu my beloved
Also yavor what is the trunk made offfdf
Ty
I'm not touching indu trees lol
They are cool and vibrant but they are Indus style and pretty far from mine I think they will look hella off next to my other stuff
I stole their shell-vine thingy for some of mine
how add textbox
Can't blame
i just dowloaded its peak
oh btw in case yall forgot:
I might steal shell vine if I ever get convinced to make a wysteria
i tried
ohhh
Heyyy so sorry for asking but does anyone have any tips on how to make builds look better?
A lot of em but I think generic tips fall short when I don't know what you are trying to improve and what you would like to achieve
I lost all of my old worlds with builds I was proud of and I'd like to improve my biome houses
It sucks dude
I know I was on the edge of giving up on the game
Three years into building and my sister accidentally gets a virus on the shared laptop
That's a hard one to come back from man my condolences
Tyyy it just like sucks to learn all my hours of building pylon houses to impress my friends is like GONE
It does suck a lot
As for biome house advice my advice is build with the biome
Make your colours and blocks match the terrain
I'd love to like show my old builds but I never got a screenshot of them ;-;
Oh that sucks a lot
I have screenies of a good amount of my corrupted files but some did go missing
I just remember hating the underwater house and bridge I made in the Jungle ngl
I love jungle builds
Sameee I love the nature things but I hate steampunk
Steampunk is tricky
I don't mind it but it's not my go to
I'm usually doing overgrown
I honestly just don't vibe with steampunk
I honestly prefer doing scenic nature stuff with FLOWERS
I like mechanisms I don't like put cogs onto everything and call it a day
I do mostly stick to nature tho, I like making trees
Sameee I can never make them look to natural though
Get good irl examples
I love natural stuff but I can't build a pond to save my life and Trees are trees ;w;
Freestyling it in-game always ends up kinda weird kinda flat
Yo if was curious how do post my images? Do I have to do some verification thing?
Yeah talk enough for a role
Ah I see that's fair
It kinda sucks but imgur links embed automatically so there's that if it helps
It took me like two weeks of talking to get role, some more some less for others
Never made a pond ngl I just borrow the in-game ones...
Oh so the moderation kinda sucks then
It just takes a lot of talking to get it
the moderation makes sense, this server has 650k users
Beebop
Its automated but the amount of messages it takes and the way it's calculated makes it a bit slow
Fair enough
agree with the slowness part
With this amount of members pinging admin to say can I have image perms isn't really a good way to handle it
xp threshold needs to be lowered
Agreed
there is another painful thing
imgur is banned in the UK, so our fellow UK builders can't use it
Bones
Fak
Dang
Reddit it is
And Pinterest
That does explain why some people complain not having imgur work for them at all tho
Yeag
Ill try to get the imgur links to worth then
It's the better choice between that and waiting for the role to send pics
I used it briefly too
Alr
https://imgur.com/a/7xfAMMY What do yall think about my builds for my main/first world?
Luckily Imgur wasn't that difficult then i thought
They look nice, tho a bit empty
ya i havent moved in yet i just finished building them
Reduces bots
You get I guts
Imgur*
Bots don’t
@gritty anvil idk how to make the inside of that hole look decent
For like a long hallways
Idk how much wood/stone variants I should use
You could do that paint thing where it looks like a corridor

@hushed badge I found someone in need of your assistance
On it
Sent you an invite
thats fucking amazing
Thanks but please no cursing, I'm only 12
Idk toooo I don't do mc
I don’t do building
I be a 2d tree maker sry
Actually it's a skill issue
I struggle extremely with first person games
They rely on the mouse for movement and I'm not very good with using the mouse
I like fps game, i enjoy with both use mouse n ds5 or procon,
I prefer keyboard movement since it's what I trained on
My reaction skills were horrendous for like the first ten years of my life and I ended up learning reaction thro games especially rhythm games
So I'm so bad at precision with the mouse
Which means shit at Minecraft
I broke my tooth falling because I have no reaction skills brother
its my fault for playing this game 😭
I am next level skill issue
I get depressed everytime I open up this channel...
I'm here to offer advice and yap about trees I'm good
Yeah
gnome farm that uses spawn manipulation
it has to be built in a pre skeletron world
because being on a dungeon, which means unsafe dungeon walls and 300 dungekn bricks will count u being in a dungeon
and since its a pre skeletron world, the game attempts to spawn a dungeon guardian
dungeaon guardian only spawns on dungeon bricks so it attempts to spawn it on the spawning platform on the left side
but the interesting bit is with the naturally placed living wood walls
natural living wood walls only spawn 3 mobs, gnomes, squirrels, and bunnies
so instead of the dungeon guardian spawning, its the 3 mobs from the living wood walls
Are you playing?
Final cbs
How did you make that tree? Its more detailed than I thought you could do in terraria at the scale.
Spam strange plants + make sure theres empty space throughout the leaves
Strange plants is genius
Yah play around with it. Strange plants & blueberries are very nice and go really well
Ayyy I remember the progress sent here
Looks really gooood
How did they get the mushroom cap to glow like that? Theirs is 1st image and mine is 2nd https://imgur.com/a/LdESTUZ
I tried the coating and that wasnt it
would it be a wall behind the blocks?
if it was a wall
Looks like it might be gemspark to me
Sapphire gemspark would be my first guess yea
Im pretty sure its made of glowing mushroom blocks
Id assume sapphire gemspark
Idk if glowing mushroom blocks actually glow though
Yeah, glowing mushroom has its own glow
I have glowing mushrooms in mine as well
His post said he used living wood painted white on the inside as well
Which is what I did
Nah the texture of the shrooms is definitely living wood
I am betting on the gemspark
gemspark walls behind the living wood?
imgur is still broken for me, its been months btw
Yup the sapphire ones
ok ty, ill try it
Tysm 🙏
Ur welcome
Is anyone who's in-game capable of lending me a hand?
Specifically checking what the crimson desert blocks look like in orange, deep orange and brown paint
Cause this shift ain't ending soon
THANK U
crimsand, hardended crimsand, crimsandstone
They all kinda ass ngl
real
But I do need to keep the biome a crimson desert
For that background mmm
Orange crimsandstone is carrying me then
When you guys start on a building, do you guys go straight for the material you guys are intending on using, or do you guys just make a placeholder shape with any blocks until you decide on the material?
It depends on the size of the build. Big ones yes small ones no
Sweet, thanks for the tip
I always try to have a palette of blocks that I wanna use in the build, it may change later on but there is always a direction at the start of my builds
I go with the base material and texture mid process
But I avoid having placeholder materials since it's just like extra work, I tend to start with a block palette in mind
Yes that
I've changed materials mid project before but that doesn't happen so often as to need a placeholder
if i only have a vague idea in mind for a build then i like to use platforms to kinda sketch out how rooms fit together and where all the furniture will go in order to help me figure out how the final design should be
it's been so long since I last built but is it or is the roof uneven
OKAY THAT BUILD SLAPS
I have no access to paint so the materials are kinda ugly rn
are you sure the rooms are bigh enough for npcs though?
Real basic answer but living mahogany
what are you talking about? that still looks great
it's only gonna house like 3 npcs anyways
yea but with paint I can do stuff like umm wait
doing pylons early?
I just like building
maybe I should've done that with the roof but it's a bit too big for it
all good twin
also spooky wood cus u can make a rustic look to ur builds
boreal wood can have tgat feeling too imo
aw man
i finally made a not-terrible build but i dont have terrarian
Wordd
how much do i have to yap for image perms
i wanna show my base
tbh it's too smooth most of the time it's more cabiny instead of rustic
I love spooky too I just like building trees more hence living mahogany
Mhm
Mixing them together works decent
check pins if u want to post ur bases without the role
wait lemme show you what i mean by rustic
But just boreal kinda fails to get that abandoned cabin in the woods
I use it for floors or wall bases ngl
Alright
stone slab gang here
Ig try mahagony
so niche
I don't do boreal walls ngl mostly floors and ceiling
I've tried everything haha I like mahogany quite a lot
Lol
Meanwhile my base is 99% brick
(except for the occasional wooden background wall)
spooky gives more of the old tavern floor look while boreal is more of a fancy type of flooring tho
House looks real good.
My house tho is more centered around utility. Sure it still looks decent but is more practical
practical is nice
I just like making it look pretty
same
just make a terrarium and put ur trees in there
most of them sucks since they're just supposed to carry you through the early fights
i blot out the block shapes and then i work on the details after
i am reducing my usage of placeholder material cuz it kinda wastes time and makes me indecisive personally
so commit and see it thru basically
and then if i dont like it, new one to start
I just do random bullshit and it kinda works
It really be let's say the columns are stone slab and they just stay stone slab
well I shd rlly start actually exploring
this feels like too much fences
I'll change the foundation walls with mudbricks I suppose
fences are alright and look nice in my opinion
the stone roof looks weird aswell ngl
otherwise really nice house
i wish i could build as half as good as you do
I'm very limited on materials so I'm using stone
ah alr make sense cuz i was wondering why stone and even then why didn't you just paint it or something
with enough practice and mostly messing around you can build well
hope so
This guy has potential
I wanted to the roof window like this but I mismeasured
you should see how I started
Yea that’s a 3 wide
It’s doable Oui
yeah but there would be no gap to make that cross pattern
man my old stuff fugly
dang
big improvement
i once spent like an hour at the end of the underworld making a little cabin
didnt turn out bad but def wasnt worth staying down there that long
yeah so you'll improve too just make sure you're having fun and it's okay to copy but don't just copy you have to learn from it and make your own style
ooh I wanna see
mhm alr
I'll go there now and take a pic
mahagony wood is pretty versatile, is smooth but resistant at the same time
I really like it
yh i love it aswell
love the sleek look
The wood from the hallow biome is pretty cool
also, am i the only one with the inventory like this when building
is kind of annoying honestly
pretty sure everyone has that
everyone is like that, lets be real
valid
carry a void bag and a money trough always
ive surprisingly havent gotten a money trough in my new save yet
Me too babe
Void bag and chester and I still have chest runbacks to free space
I have abandoned the hole
Too much work?
No idea to do anything with it 😂
I spent a couple hours trying block pallets and just couldn’t tie it all together as well as I hoped
I’m gonna afk my shoddy creeper farm and find some place to move to later
I need to switch it up rather then continue to try and shove everything into one hole in the ground
Ngl I do think a hole is a good start
U get lots of space without technically having to build the big space
U got any inspo
Uhhh
heres mine
i never even use my void bag 💀
or my piggy bank tbh
I think it has music boxes and coins in it
and ofc the best light pet + trippy lighting for maximum visibility
This lighting offends my eyes
I be sensitive in the eyes, trippy lighting ain't for me
It looks scrumdiliumtious 😄
Glowsnobe
dw Im sure in the future you can build shit like this thats insane
Oh shit that's my tree
y'know you can activate potions from the void bag right ? 😭
haven't gotten super far into this build so everything still looks relatively clean, but this is it with the void bag
such a clean inventory
but all that gear pre skeleton is criminal
yeah thats lowkey broken
not just potions but things like the presserator, guide to peaceful coexistence, paint sprayer, and all information accessories all work in the void bag
really useful if you can't be bothered to make a cellphone but wanna keep some information accessories on you
you can also close the void bag to disable them
chat you are a lifesaver
THANK YOU
see i use whatever i want from builder's workshop worlds
i dont use tools to research everything, i've researched like thousands of items manually
but its fine because i have only the blocks and stuff i want
hey thats cheating
cheating is for weak
i've never beat the moon lord 😂
(playing fairly, atleast)
dang i havent played in a week
it helps me see in the dark LOL don't worry, i only use it when im building my maps and take it off for testing
furthest visibility underground is useful
another big tip I recommend if you're building often is making a use of loadouts, I have my 2 primary loadouts identical except for 1 which I don't have paint sprayer on it (just the other useful parts of architect gizmo pack) so I can quickly move between both since there are buttons for your loadouts, which you can rebind to other keys
if you're playing in journey mode you can also rebind your creative powers menu (I chose mouse 4 since I have a mouse with extra buttons) since it opens up your inventory which can be really useful if you go into it very often
Wow that sounds so fancy
I've been building for ten years and inventory is still shite
it's made it so damn convenient for me, there's other little optimizations that I've made, some worth some not so much
the use of getting your run speed to 16mph so you can build in a straight line without stuttering and using gravitational potion have both been huge for me
yeah i do have multiple loadouts
one has echo sight, one doesnt, and one is for lower mobility testing areas
I got one
since im making dungeons for a map i gotta have one loadout that has the stuff the player would have
I truly be building like a barbarian
fair enough though
for echo sight I just have the goggles in my vanity and swap them over something like soaring insignia when needed
caveman architect
Literally
This be me
I just switch em in and out of vanity
paint sprayer is the only thing I have the loadout trick for, just having that on a toggle feels super nice
on my vanity character I have 2 empty loadouts for ofc building vanities and then a single builder loadout, so it's a bit more archaic but everything else is the same
I got one loadout and prayers
So far it's worked but judging by all the other builders reaction that's unholy
i mean inventory be damned, at the end of the day it's the build that matters
i just like optimizing useless shit, that time would honestly be better spent practicing my builds 😭
Nah listen
The time I spend trying to find shit in my inventory could be spent building
The judgement is justified, my default mode is where tf is insert paint
the duality of man
spend too much time optimizing inventory or spend too much time dealing with unoptimized inventory
The struggle of a builder either way you turn you are still pushing the boulder
hey, quick question
Yeh?
what do you think are the best lamps for cabins?
more like a creepy cabin
Oh
want me to show you?
you can try steampunk lamp
it has that old house, likely abandoned by the owners lamp vibe
icream
Ebon is good
100% steampunk lamp in there
i see your point, but im still in ph
unfortunate
Steampunk is also bright white light so it doesn't look very haunted
It just looks like old fashioned but lived in
It's cozy
Not really creepy tho
Unless u turn it off and keep it for the looks
I've done it
yeah, luckily almost every good block is ph
exactly
Dungeon lights are pretty solid
Most of them outside of the select warm lanterns are shades of blue and green
Very eerie
I'd turn off the fireplace if I were u
And put a gemspark wall, blue, green or purple behind it
So it's off but it glows an uncanny colour
That's gonna up the creepy a notch
youinkey
Maybe i just put up a candle
that gemspark thing doesnt convince me
U can but it won't be glowing from the fireplace that way
It don't need to I be offering stuff u can choose what u like
need more detail
Needs more pazzaz at the bottom
but a fireplace off that lights on is kind of weird isnt it?
maybe in a haunted type house
yeah ik, but is good to know some stuff
I mean I was like judging by this
Candles are a solid source tho
ok boom
Most of the nicer coloured lights are torches
ashwood fence in cluch
There we gooooo
i mean it wouldn't normally glow blue but a fireplace that is still smoldering could still possess a little bit of light
Indu got that smooth bottom for his leaf bundles
bone torch my beloved
caged and brass lanterns also provide good light
Dim but cozy yeah
I was under the impression it's like creepy and shit so I was offering more unnatural lights
i might be a bot, but platinum candle is so good
warm lights can still be creepy
just depends how you use em
Candles are almost all bright white light
Which is a bummer cause I don't use that light
Oh yeah definitely
i could use painted moss for a glow
Tru
ontopa this
wait, the shadow candle emits light? that might be pretty cool for my cabin
if im not wrong it emits a lesser amount of light
I think so yeah
prismatic lacewing is perfection due to its sprite persisting after echo paint
wish the other critters did that
yeah fr, i really like the souls in a bottle too
fairies
true and real
Zoom it out
The burryness makes it harder to see for me
Looks like those rubblemaker stuff
Granite
Second to last one
Deep paint probably
Shadow paint can blacken the outside of a map
Blurry as pic
I'm responding to a blurrier pic :((
Why do u spite me my child, do we not feed you enough concrete
Whats the point
ik what shadow paint does, theres tens of thousands of tiles of shadow paint in my world 😂
if not hundreds of thousands
It do
Shit so blurry I had to read the message to know what you sent
i made my tree, it doesnt look really great but i havent build many trees so im not too mad
these are my only other tree builds 😬
this is very cute, it reminds me of the starbound underground structures in snow
cute vibe
proving more than yavor is correct, it is granite rubble maker size 1
not too shabby, i think you're starting off great for building trees
you should totally check out Bones rubblemaker guide - i use it more often than i think of
thank you, i kinda beat myself up over builds a lot
im like a perfectionist when it comes to builds and i kinda need to except not everything is gonna look crazy yet
check out #terrarian-role-info
Alr
if you're a perfectionist, i recommend looking over references and actual tree types for the stuff u wanna build
it doesn't hurt to use them for building stuff
i use it a lot
idk what to search for exactly what im looking for : (
i do use refences a lot for other builds
Tree types tbh, or you can look up tree names
i use pinterest (with AI off filter) for ref board and mood boards
i made this a while ago, i used a lot of like fantasy style tavern references for it
still pretty proud of it
@gritty anvil decent pic quality exists
i think they took that in game
Cause that shit in-game not a cropped Google image booooo
and the other image is from the web likely
Mahaaaal
everything i touch goes into high quality
@gritty anvil please help on this, opinions if u have time
i like the block mixing and the different leveled floor of the tavern, it gives that idea that it has a lot of space
Hosh just better
the snow could've been presented better though but i think it's cute
i think i probably couldve added more blocks in the mudstone for some better depth
and i couldnt find anything good for the snow on the half platforms 😓
The darkness of the roof somehow makes it feel like it’s set further behind then the rest of the wall almost I’d say ditch the crimtane and find something lighter or add dormers
Support beams would help
and i felt it looked weird one lower or in full block
Cause rn it kinda bleeds into the floor like it's outside of the building the the mudstone area
for the basement?
The area with the tables
something a little like this?
I've build this base for my second playthrough but im not really sure its over
Y'all could give me some tips ?
(i used paint bc i dont wanna put in effort rn)
That and maybe some in the form of brown ebonwood wall behind the candles
Sure
you should destroy lands and make a flat ground
like minecraft
and then you plan on building after that
Nooooooo
if that's your goal then try building in the natural terrain then!
I personally opt for adjusting the natural terrain
Hear me out now
It’s natural outside
Go look
There ya go
This is flat
100% not an excuse for me to post work photos again
You see the tops of the trees on the left
They are the same height as the ones on the right
Boooo
It's still like a flat surface just diagonal flat
It don't work too well on a 2d field when doing natural
Better
I think I’ve shown it before when you asked about trees
Aint no way
I go outside from time to time what can I say
Outwhat
So any tips
I really want to level up the shoebox i made
Cause they look a bit ugly
Also the main room at th center idk if anyone got an idea of better walls i could use
is this better
I think so yeah
im also a little unhappy with the tables. i have the plates there bc theyre supposed to be like table cloth but it doesnt really look like that
just looks like a plate
pressure plates maybe?
Hammered platforms maybe could work
and up here, the plates are supposed to be like a little rug but they dont look like that really, i am probably gonna make the whole floor the stucco though
tried it, cant be placed on tables :(
i could try the teleporter glitch
did that a bit in the build
especially the basement
is there a thin enough platform for that? thats kinda a big issue with the plates; that theyre too thick
I’d try brass maybe
just looked at the wiki and saw brass, probably
But without testing I don’t get a better idea
oh..

meteorite isnt horrible but it does look a little too thick still
teleporter glitch doesnt even work with pressure plates ToT
Squib
Oh I'm stealing this
is there a page on the wiki or something like the blocks page with a pic of every block hammered
Tablecloths don't usually bunch up at the top tbh
Man if only Red is still taking ideas
We could really get more house plants decoration in the game
What did you use for the leg tho?
its a banquet table
i just painted the top middle white
everything else is normal
we need top and side hammered half blocks
we have like palladium coullums i guess
and also i guess theres walls with a gap between them
I forgot this channel existed
Any recommendations?
I keep getting praises with no criticism
Might paint the meteorite blocks near me
The block palette is kinda confusing
i really gotta figure out the snow :(
Clouds
it looks better but it still kinda looks odd with the bakground walls
No actuated clouds for snow is nice
still kinda contrasts
though does look better
i also accidentally painted it gray and didnt notice
it actually doesnt look as bad as i remember with it not being hammered
my wip build :)
Imma be real I don’t think I ever used it hammered sitting flat on the ground so had no idea
I just knew it was thin
I've experimented and so far the best contenders seem to be Pumpkin, Nebula, Ash Wood, Steampunk, and Bone, along with others
Great ballroom idea ngl
they're all too thick tho
i just kinda removed it all together
I'll try to reduce the number of block variety
Is that it or do you have any more?
Not per say less blocks but I suppose more similar blocks
i personally dont see the vision but that could just be me
Hmm, I'll try but right now I'm using everything I have pre bee
Like texturing sometimes is done with many different blocks but they are meant to like resemble a material
I'll try to remove palmwood and texture some monotone structures
When you have a lot of materials each doing their own thing, it becomes hard to read basically
I'll also try to incorporate ore bricks into stone slabs
I do also struggle to understand the build
Hmm, for me, I just can't stand looking at something that doesn't have an intricately detailed part
My problem
It has details which is nice, but it is kinda confusing
I'll reduce it though to make it whole
Oh no same, I have very heavy texturing oftentimes
I'll keep the stone slabs and bricks but incorporate ore bricks as I've said
I'll remove palmwood and try to color shadewood
To make it blend with the dynasty and rich mahogany texture
Which is also painted brown
Boreal acts like the end of a beam though so I'll keep it
Sounds good
This one I kind of overkilled
Don't worry about the foundations, I'll work on it as I go towards the end of pre hm
it doesnt look like too much texture, kinda just overstimulating
My forte, basically
Surprises non builders yknow lol
I think I saw that in my dreams
I'm deadass
Green shingles and a stone sky bridge
I've sent progress shots a lot of this lolll
This is the first time I've seen it
It's also just a very well sized Frankenstein monster
Or the second time if you count my dreams haha
Well, this is the kind of build I just can't do with my vision
https://imgur.com/a/PYHPblC
I definitely need some advice on interior
idk why but i never thought to alternate shingles to have the seperated (i think thats what you did)
Put me on the walls, I'll do fine, but structuring, hell nah
Get tall shit brother
Walls are kinda my specialty
It could have an alchemy station like in minecraft
Put the wizard in there too
Its his hat on the roof anyways
Castles don't got that cozy low ceiling, so clocks, potted plants and bookcases help a lot with creating decorations that don't make it look empty, filling up emptier upper parts with banners and paintings also helps
Btw @gritty anvil do I fuse all stone related materials into one so I can apply block mixing in them? But of course the accent is separate
not ALL stone
Not all stone yeah
Most or some?
some
Can y'all encircle the ones that I could fuse?
ooo, this is nice
Ahh shit I don't have both the living wands
I haven't thought of using stucco for sand bricks
Oh goddammit ebonwood again
I'm crimson
i love using stucco for carpet
kinda strange but i think it looks good as carpet
it doesnt look like stucco at all really
ToT
i still havent found a good replacement for stucco that actually looks like the real stuff
People have committed dirt
With painted grass...
It ain't for me but hey I'd say it's kinda cute
bad quality :(
Smooth sandstone, I've used, but its become too light for my liking
yeah, that is a bit of an issue but theres not much else
the gray doesnt look terrible
Can you place potions on platform?
There’s the lesser mana and lesser healing potion you can place, or just use a glass bottle and paint
To make the placeable versions of the lesser potions you need a heavy work bench
Thank you!!!
https://imgur.com/a/L2E227f
Hmmmmmm
I will try improving it later, I literally did not sleep
uuu pretty
That was a lie, I just can’t stop building lol
thats really cute
I have slightly improved the blocks and stuff @gritty anvil @rugged wedge
waoh you build that on mobile god dang
Also, what do y'all want to improve on the finished interior of the second floor?
I find it easier on mobile
its look so natural that i didnt even realiize what diid you build
OH
You become more intimate with the blocks
the trees
Incredible, you have a unique art style
Keep doing the background
It reminds me of retro games
thats such a smart way to bring more life to the serounding
owo
Though it's limited to being a background and you can't build anymore structures lol
Oh wait
You can indeed destroy the walls instead
so i dont wanna do it again and again
so
also i have no dryad-
i should get her sigh
It's just eye of cthulhy anyways
it does makee the world fuller so hell yeah
I'd take seeing background art styles more than regular structures
Though limited to biomes
This, I need to copy this method
This is so genius
#terraria
REUPLOAD!
(This is an older Video I've moved from the Main Channel to the Building Channel to have Things sorted for you - and slightly reworked the Intro)
This is the beginning of a Series of thematically fitting Pylon Builds for Terraria.
The first Episode features the Forest Pylon and is a Tutorial and Guide about exactly this: ...
@bleak vector
@icy zenith @lyric cave
i got "inspiration" from this video
Wonderful, keep at it
it would be wrong of me if i didnt- show
I'd like to see some desert and ocean
:0 good inspo
i want to make this in my world.... <3
its very cool
Yeah I think that's a bit more coherent
Anymore improvements?
A roof would be nice
More good news for Kyora
Tsym, im a beginner so I mostly take some ideas from pinterest, but this one is mainly mine
Now that you say it, maybe isnt as creepy as i thought
I'll try walls
Nice! Gotta have one with every reforge am I right? Lol
Thanmken you
it is very adorable ngl! you should have fun building i think
pinterest is a great way to get ideas so keep it up!
Hahaha lmao, u get it
Valid house 😁
Echo blocks for the win?
right xd
this is a great underground vibe
nah, this is peak building. it looks great without being a headache to traverse through. You even have dressers which serve as storage!
Current jungle house. I played with the shape and tried to let the environment shape it. It's half safe haven so I added stuff like barricades and platform locks on the outside doors.
idk, something with roots? making leaf-like roofs?
Really cool, I love those type of builds
using this base to beat the goblin army was a breeze
tree leafs
ngl looks cool. very droopy
Very good study on Indus style
i agree with this wholeheartedly , my dressers be filled with random shit
shellfish, negative paint and painted strang plant i think
ohhhhhh
what are you using for roofs?
Wym leaf roofs?
sorry for really late message; i dont think you have access to them yet but echo walls can make walls theyre connected to smaller so i would do that for the trees if you can build with echo walls
i made a tunel trought my whole hardcore world each biome is themed https://imgur.com/a/sIeawAp
also a cool tree arena i made some time ago but its tree
https://imgur.com/a/6386sjg
yavor ur builds r mine
Nhooooo
My housesss
The tree house I made came out a bit wonky for u but it wasn't bad
The more like structured builds definitely seem to be your strength tho
U adapt to them much quicker
You are very quick my friend, fast learners are always promising
Also I like your purple
@gritty anvil Hytale preorders are up
How do you make those door
Not for me brother
right no links
I don't do 3d willfully
Shadow paint the walls and shadow paint some actuated balloon blocks since when you put them two by two they make a circle
I have some interest in kyora but tbh with hytale it's close to none
Hoping those who want it have fun with it tho
Chippy will be making videos on both games
Figured
I'll see to keep up a bit
If kyora has more fun biomes than terraria I'll consider
Hytale is an immediate no from me tho, already got Minecraft that I join in occasionally for other people, it'll be a pointless purchase to get hytale have it sit in a box
OHHH!!!
I never thought of using that block
that's so smart
Mm
Can't tell u who did it first
I learned it from bluejay
But that stuff goes way way back
There's some of those clever tricks that hold up years later
thank you, i love the complementsz
i needa make more non house stuff
expand my skill
And then there is the asset house which is asset heaven
