I decided to try and draw a Sashimono for a mod idea I had.
Once I get around to coding it, it'll act as a portable banners for every type of monster you've fully unlocked in the bestiary; Useless for boss fights but useful for exploring or grinding in higher difficulty worlds.
After a dozen or so iterations, I've finally got a design that I don't actively hate, though it can still definitely do with improvement.

so my biggest tip is that your builds needs some thickness, at least two block wide walls, also start asking yourself why you're doing things. (for ex, "why is the window in my living room broken?")

for general shape I'd learn sloping blocks, Khaios has a lot of good tutorials for building and making frames

As for the diamond shape windows,
Glass wall with actuated glass block (painted deep blue) hammered into those shapes

try to even out the roof a bit, it’s thicker in most places than others, entirely up to you though!

If you also enjoy having a little bit of greenery too you can mix up jungle and normal leaf blocks to mix things around and paint them the same color

In my opinion, making the slope on the bottom (the slanted room) 2 block thick instead would help so you can hide the walls that are sticking out now that are making it look not very diagonal. It could also help to add some kind of "support beam" (vertical walls, most fences) from the diagonal part down to the ground since that looks a little unstable

If you're looking for other blue furniture to match the icy theme you have going on, slime and glowing mushroom furniture are also naturally blue- most furniture sets that are non-wood should take blue paint ok. Sky furniture too, but that's a bit more light blue, so up to you. Personal taste but I'd swap out the torches for lighting furniture like lamps, chandilier (can't spell sorry 😔 ) etc. Alternatively, blue torches (torch + sapphire) might give you a little more blue lighting variation

Because you have the shingles on the side and not just the top, the contrast between them and the walls makes it look a little bit like a box. If you remove the ones on the side, and just keep the ones on top it might help. If you have access to paint, consider painting the walls to match the shingles or vice versa. Having the roof be wider than the building also helps sell the effect, as do decorations like windows.

Here is an example that does some of the things I mentioned (not built by me, found on pintrest and saved to my reference folder)

Honestly very early into the game it's kinda boring (for me) but when you get rich and start hitting that jackpot it becomes really fun

Designing farms are really enjoyable

i had this redstone phase 3 years back and i was just dumping all my energy into making these mega piston extendor doors

then i never touched minecraft again

maybe thats why i dont find stardew that enticing

whenever i look at gameplay it just bores me

but builds can also be challenging

I mean Stardew has time...

Personally the thrill of make it before passing out does it for me
