For modules, type /room #[the name of the room]
To add a password to the room, simply type /pw [insert a password here]
For game modes, add the name of the mode at the front
example: /room *vanilla pineapple
This will create an international vanilla room named pineapple
And since your friend doesn't want to play with strangers, tell them to add a password (can be changed) or add an @ to make it private (which means you must know the room name to enter as it wont show anywhere)

Decided to pull an experiment and install the non-Steam standalone of TFM, as well as Adobe AIR, on my laptop (an HP Stream 14).
All I got was the dreaded 0% error, and changing my DNS didn't fix it - this seems to be a recurring problem for some people, with several causes and not very many fixes (disappointingly).
I highly doubt this can be resolved, so I guess I'll just play the waiting game until it works (or until the devs fix the issue).

There was this extinction.fr site (old Atelier801) that allowed you to create accounts like Bolodefchoco. So if you wanted/want to migrate these accounts to Atelier801 specifically (Transformice) you'd use +ThatName, such as +Bolodefchoco (because there might be the same name, etc). So the registration date is the date of creation in atelier801, not in extinction.
So, for example, if I had the account Aaaaaa there and only migrated it today, it's get a 15th Feb account named +Aaaaaa
