so, you do keep access to it in the most cases-

I think changing the password if possible is your best choice and maybe having 2FA codes enabled.. this sounds safe (or whatever else you use for the extra safety step) :)
But idk exactly whats the best thing to do when you get hacked by that.. some delete their accounts, others just change everything and get it back and just dont fall for these-
