You're telling me you don't go to visit the Walmart booth and watch clash of clans?
Bro I walked over “the castle” and was like “where am I”
What was in that yellow goodie bag anyway?
Dunno, but I can assure you I got SCAMMED out of my victory pack.
A coupon for 5% off on toilet paper.
I almost bought one. What happened?
No water bottle
You mean the one they were selling for like 19 dollars at the store?
That's the one
They decided to sell them I guess. Twice. Sorry that happened to you.
Well it's the last time i'll ever purchase any sort of upgrade/merch package that's for sure, haha.
The only way I ever come back to DH is gonna be if they bring BYOC back, and like, fully back.
I will say. I find it funny in retrospect that they were selling a rolling Dreamhack Desktop LAN bag when they knew they weren’t having a LAN anymore.
Walmart probably paid 200x what us BYOC'ers paid and they gave out plushies. How can we compete with that
Walmart has so much money that whatever they paid DH wasn't enough. DH should've quadrupled whatever price walmart paid.
can walmart just sponsor BYOC? I'm already a walmart+ member. Just add it as a walmart+ benefit
I just don't know why we can't get a BYOC sponsor. It's happened before. Redhat, Asus, someone
When DHL is a sponsor you know that the leadership is fumbling. You can’t tell me that Corsair or Logitech wouldn’t sponsor the LAN with the priority to be THE vendor for peripherals at the event.
Shit I would've bought a mouse then and there.
Walmart has access to Doritos and Mountain Dew. It would only make sense
Redhat sponsor went crazy, their after party was awesome.
DHL is actually pretty good because they do eastwest logistics, which is pretty useful
Redhat as in Linux?
That's another thing - if they're not going to do Opening ceremonies, at least bring back the kickoff party
red hat enterprise linux, am I at work?
I feel like we’ve had more meaningful discussions in the last 6 hours here than Dreamhack does in an entire year of planning.
It was an interesting sponsor event for them. But I have nothing but good things to say about the Redhat employees that were at the event.
That's the difference between passion and work. No number of Xbox games studios would have made Minecraft
stal plays in the distance
BYOC afterparty? ayo
Sad what happened to Notch after he sold out.
Having that really bored “now what?” feeling.
Also. Was anyone else interviewed at the BYOC? Does anyone know who or what that was?
There was that girl walking around asking about monitor refresh rates
I thought that was weird considering how much tighter security was when byoc was in the other corner.
Because one influencer gains more traction. Im in that world lol
And is probably cheaper.
Bringing together community is what DreamHack is all about. Look at us all.
She asked what my PC was worth and how old steam account was. It just so happened that Oct 31 was my 16 year anniversary.
I know you're being sarcastic but the turn out for both of those was insane. The line for the walmart game was always full all 3 days and the clash section was probably the loudest throughout the day with consistent cheers. People loved how they did the big castle set up for clash as well
idk about that
Clash did look like fun even though I am not a fan in the slightest over cash grabby gacha games.
woah dont be throwing shade on clash fest
maybe i'm just old
And that's cool, that's good if you enjoy those things. It's just not what me or my friends are into and did not find enjoyable.
XQC was boo, Ludwig was great that one year lmao
I intentionally got lunch when I knew xQc was about to arrive.
I didn't even notice xqc was here
Might be in the minority but seeing kick be such a big part leaves a certain taste in my mouth
yeup
I was mostly laughing at the terrible display pixelation the kick signs had when they tried to display a video feed on it
Got a good hoot from that every time I passed it
Thats totally fine, I just wanted to make it a point to show you that even if it wasn't for you that doesn't mean it wasn't for other people
(no bad vibes from this btw)
Twitch backed out in like 2018??
It was a point that I never disagreed with, lmao.
They used to be a sponsor around the same time HAX was a sponsor
literally the only reason i went
Yeah i remember, im just not a fan of kick
The red bull area was pretty dry in comparison to the monster booth past year
Always felt like a party at monster
I agree with you. I am not either; but I do think there needs to be a twitch rival in the scene
Kick will always be the service for racists and misfits and twitch banned and you will never convince me otherwise.
Did i miss an area to just grab a red bull or was it not like those old booths where you could just be given a free drink
Yea the layouts for things were certainly insteresting. I know a bunch of creators weren't a fan of the setup they were given for their events
The kick areas seemed so bare the last couple events I saw them there.
If anything, my point is that it is unfortunate that they dialed back on things that there are tons of passionate people for to focus on things that left a bad taste in some people's mouths.
All i saw was that area with the truck and like one mini fridge of red bull
The redbull area was the blue area with the truck
They were giving it out in coolers
But it was hard to see
A dude wearing a rumble shirt and an America First hat was IRL streaming out front while I was enjoying my vape for a minute and he tried to engage me with “so what do you think of the president.” I said “You really don’t want to do this”
Other than grabbing it from the refrigerator at byoc, I never grabbed it from the actual booth
Saw a whole org with rumble jackets

Rumble is worse than kick right? That’s the platform of choice for the far right?
The walmart truck did feel like it was in a really awkward spot for thru traffic
I kept having to reroute around it
I thought the same thing.
I kept ending up walking between the truck and the queue
Kick blocking off half the walkways in the middle of day 2 was a really awkward spot for traffic 🤡
Did they actually
Fisher-Price Dreamhack! 🎉
I think it was around the time they had xqc there but they werent even using the space they had blocked
wild
but other than the silly things I had an enjoyable time
I have a bean bag from the creator lounge and brother its too comfy
it was definitely an awesome first experience with dreamhack for me
Selling a free monster from DreamHack Dallas, never opened, taking offers.
I just bought a “boneless” couch. It’s awesome 😂
love that for you
I definitely got 40 dollars in value from the red bull fridge in BYOC
did anyone else watch clashfest? there were a bunch of people there but i didnt see nearly as many people talking about it in discord
they were handing out so many too , def was
I watched some of it but I was watching a lot of the rivals
i remember i think it was 2018 and i could only get a one day ticket to to Dreamhack and i slipped back by the monster stand thrice to stock up for the drive home that night
How long was your drive
4 hours
I was struggling on the drive back to Jacksonville yesterday.
I drove 6 hours today so i feel that
started my drive at like 4am and left at like 8pm, got home around midnight
but the traffic was pretty nonexistent which was nice
I made the poor decision to drive 30 minutes in the wrong direction to microcenter before fleeing the state.
Was loving that redbull was there. Wish I would have kept one for resell! >:3
part of my pilgrimage now to stop at the shell gas station in cartersville where i spent my last ten dollars to get me all the way home
LOL NOO
I went specifically to try their simracing setup and it was down.
4th MC I’ve been to where that’s happened. It’s like the ice cream machine at McDonald’s at this point.
yeah i always spend the extra money just to stay an extra night and leave monday morning, sunday night traffic out of atlanta on con weekends is hell
not to mention the exhaustion
Yeah. In the future I won’t get a hotel Friday night and shift it to staying overnight on the last day.
I didn’t check in until 6am.
I left Jax at 3am Friday and made it in time for kickoff.
Definitely finding a closer hotel next time. The walk to the Westin with 1500 bucks of gear in my backpack was a little sketchy.
Omni was 1307 for 4 nights
only place closer is Signia since it's right ontop of building C
I drove to the venue, wasnt walking from where I was lmaoo
i learnt the lesson of staying far away after i did the Hyatt one year, beautiful hotel, 5-6 blocks away
pretty sure I'll be driving next year as well, I think some of us are getting an airbnb and just doing everything together
But finding parking was not hard at all which I really liked
that was the one thing i wish i knew more about. i ended up taking a lyft to and from the venue bc they people i called about parking made it seem like it was gonna be expensive and far away
whaddahelly?
it can be expensive, that much is true, ive also had years where availability has been nill
it genuinely depends on what weekend they run ATL
if there's home games happening in town? you're screwed in my experience
the red deck was nice if you didnt want to park outside but was a slightly further walk
But the yellow deck was RIGHT next to the place and was $21 (or $31 bad memory) to park
its why i get valet parking and never touch my car
ive gotten stuck out of parking decks and had to park somewhere far off from my hotel before
it always pays to check what games are happening in atlanta before you go
the person i called using the number from the reservation site said the only parking they had was no in and out ability. ie the three day pass was you just drop off your car for three days.
There were so many open spaces in the yellow deck, I think it was being slept on bc everyone wanted to go red deck
Odd
I parked in the red deck day one without a reservation needed bc we got there on time so there were still spaces open and were able to leave no problem
it ended up being fine though i wasnt spending much more on lyft than i wouldve spent on parking
but chose yellow deck the next two days as we realized it was closer and easier to walk to
this year there were no home games
falcons were off in MA facing the patriots, i think the hawks were in cleveland, braves are too far north of downtown atlanta to matter at any time of year for DH
I left my car in Red Deck all weekend and commuted to hotel. Westin wanted 60/night and Red Deck was 51 for the entire weekend.
good reliable red deck
me when balatro
I was thinking about trying to organize a balatro event at BYOC. A good seeded run best score event.
couple years ago when i was just doing another one day i got blue lot parking, that was great
came in stupid early for that
zamn i bet it goes fast
Duuuval! I did see that and walked by it. Didnt chat with him though
with the kick talk.. i still have no idea what kick is or what it does. i just kept walking by it like '???'
Twitch competitor. Founded on gambling money.
Direct connections to the online gambling site Stake. Came about in the wake of Twitch banning gambling streams.
I sat next to him. He packed up every day, weird dude
Yeah I noticed that.
What was he playing.
The normie shit. BF6. Cod6, arc raiders
Oh no I’m a normie 😭
Can't wait to see more wild builds! One of my favorite things to do is walk the byoc and check out people's creative builds and desk spaces. Oh wait...
Also I looked it up. That case was a cooler master sneaker x. Limited edition. They go for about 700 bucks on eBay.
It's true. You can easily judge someone by what they play.
Some people still play quake. If you're truly alpha, you would play katawa shoujo
Atleast nobody was playing Huniepop this year.
Don't worry guys, instead of BYOC they'll get more youtubers! It's gonna be great!

I think everyone just needs to wait. We still have no idea what they will replace BYOC with. Have faith that there will be more things to do or expansion on other things. Give them a chance.
was there an announcement BYOC won't be a thing?
Yes, because we got so much more when they cut the live bands.
From the FAQ on their website.
It's the only thing this guys been complaining about for hours in both generals 💀
You better believe it.
This is also the only NA Dreamhack next year. They already said it’s going to be larger than ever before. Let’s let it play out. There will still be a huge turnout.
They said almost 40K attendees, it’s still a big draw and only a small fraction participate in BYOC. Have some faith lol.
Let's hope they bring the big butt youtuber again.
People like that lol?
i'm seeing BYOC mentioned on this page?: https://dreamhack.com/atlanta/knockout/
Apparently! Those leaders are so tuned to what Dreamhack needs.
One of my favorites was when someone had a fancy tire rim for a PC
That was for the event that just ended yesterday
I remember seeing the first LCD screen mod behind the glass case of someone's computer. It was wild!!! Good times. I didn't get to see the rim though. :[
header weirdness
"oct 31st-nov 2"
where's the 'no byoc/lan' page?
A lot of stuff hasn't been fully updated as the event for this year just ended a bit over 24 hours ago. Please see the pinned message for the confirmation that the event next year will have no BYOC.
this is what i was seeing
Hit that then pull faq down on byoc. You'll see the glory of our Dreamhack overlords.
Bro that site still has this year's data
The thumbnail is off, but the data is current if you follow the link.
Imagine they pull a “due to overwhelming demand we have decided to reinstate BYOC”
I imagine there are a ton of Dallas LAN people that would travel out of that 1000 person group.
A lot of those Dallas people are founders who decided to not go to Atlanta for other reasons
I love this argument. BYOC is a small minority... Understand it's a collective of content that brings in the numbers, not just 1 thing. The more features you remove the less people will show.
#atlanta-general message
I think Tickl bot put it best
Agreed.
But BYOC is ONLY for those who participate. So a vast majority wont even realize it’s not there.
You can say that about everything. Take away the Rocket league expo, I wouldn't notice. Take away cosplay, others won't notice.
Take away live music, oh wait that already happened, did you notice?
They did have a live music performance on the main stage
Honestly I think they just needed to advertise it better
Imagine if they put out the fact that holo was doing an exclusive concert
BYOC is exclusive to BYOC. 99% of attendees don’t buy it. Yet 40K still show up. All those other events change yearly and folks still show and it’s included with your ticket. If BYOC was included with your general admission, then I’d agree.
99%? Your numbers are off.
There were 40K attendees. And what? Like 150 BYOC seats?
I'm 1 byoc person, my family shows up on Saturday, that's 5 people. You just lost 6 because 1 isn't coming.
They also had live music last year before COD mobile championship
So with all the conversation going on, is there or is there not a confirmation on BYOC next year? I've read too much and not gotten a definitive. Or this coupld be a ploy to "not have it" and then release it so it sells out next year.
tbh with the draw the IEM alone should have I really dont think it matters to them if they lose a few for not having a byoc
There isnt
Confirmed to be gone
Well that's a shame. I guess people will skip it and wait until the next weekend for Momocon...
Same goes for COD CDL, that already is 70% sold out. The draw next year will be huge.
Which is another dumb decision to make so close to something that is really popualr and during the same week at the same venue...
COD is in dire straits right now you think the next DLC BO7 will be that popular?
It would be, if they hadn't announced 3 major events going on in place of it that will fill with people wanting that instead of the byoc. (So in theory it shoudlnt effect them if byoc "only" people dont go, if the sales for everything else goes well)
I mentioned IEM, Kyle mentioned Cod
idk how well the COD will do but it is selling currently
Well who knows. I'm done with that game franchise but there are plenty of shills for that game so it will probably do well. Figures that gamers and Esports killed the gaming at a gaming event/con. The irony.
The other irony is how fast we got a date for next year before this one was even over.
I misread their tweet. It was referring to the COD team tickets. But I bet CDL will still sell well.
Debates of quality aside, DH Birmingham (UK) COD tickets did sell out twice
It's because ( I assume) they had to let people know it wouldn't be in dallas sooner rather than later
There was already a lot of speculation around Dallas
People were already guessing Dallas was unlikely because of construction and FIFA. The press statement was a confirmation.
Like I said the loyal ones. COD has that till death following.
Thats fair, but thats people that pay attention/ know about it, right? I was talking with people yesterday about the IEM and they auto assumed I meant for Dallas next year and then were shocked when I said Atlanta. I didnt see anything about speculations either until it was announced (but thats just how my algorithm is). So announcing it now before people who are unaware start pre-planning was smart
is it as close to the venue as in atlanta? you can see mercedes benz from GWCC
No, Cowboys stadium is still a drive
My LAN neighbor this weekend works for the city of Atlanta and said he noticed Dreamhack had a contract for May weeks ago.
It wasn't even that. With the remodeling and the dates being close to the world cup there were concerns.
My only thought is, putting IEM, CDL, and Expo all in C
I believe IEM and COD had already released their dates for 2026 and it was just a matter of venue.
They had to cut BYOC because no space
That being said
I would rather them cut something else instead
because usually IEM pulls big BYOC numbers for Dallas
What is left to cut tbh
I'm guessing for those big tournaments they'll return to a similar setup like when HiRez held their Paladins and Smite championships with DreamHack
How about that giant Clash castle?
They'll probably utilize the full sound walls to close off sections
so it's gonna feel smaller
There must be a ballroom or something available.
Does that still exist?
I don't see them doing that. Pure speculation of course, but I could see an IEM | Main Stage | COD set up along the back
Here’s an easy solution. Get rid that shitty food court next to the BYOC and give us that space.
I didn’t realize until Sunday there was another food court on the other side of the venue.
Then BYOC complains they have to walk far for food
At least BYOC is there to complain.
If I recall correctly the only other food areas were all the way to the left of the hall if you're facing the main stage.
Top left by the EA stuff and next to the Clash stuff
For this specific context where you are suggesting getting rid of a food court next to BYOC for more BYOC space, that would likely feed into the point of turnout begat turnout
BYOC must walk the entire floor to get food -> bad experience -> don't turn up the next time -> less BYOC interest -> less support for BYOC
lol
That's not even beginning to account for the Halo event that shows on the site as TBA
There always was 1 food court. We always had to walk far.
There were 2 on the left side and 1 on the right by BYOC
new date nice but during a hot weekend 😭 I will miss you my beloved cold weather
Surely they will use the other ballrooms or buildings? Isn’t CDL and IEM usually held in midsized arenas? I can’t see them cramming it all into the usual space.
So DHA was tangibly worse this year. Right? Ditching tabletop and TCGs meant there was nothing to do. Unless you're an esports person, then you could just, sit there and watch, I guess??
Also, no one wants Dreamhack to become KICKcon, do they? Am I just an old man ranting about the good ol' days?
I dont disagree
I had a great time. I also had friends attend for the first time and they really enjoyed it. I don’t play any of the esports events that went on, but we all still found it fun. I honestly didn’t see a major difference between last year and this year. Guess it depends on what you do.
For anyone who participates in BYOC or tabletop the difference in value and experience was terribile compared to previous years.
Glad you and your friends had a good time though, thats good.
This was my first time doing BYOC and I personally had a blast. I also had a great time at the red bull after party Saturday night
For Atlanta '26? Isn't GWCC the 4th largest convention center in the nation?
It was definitely significantly worse than earlier years. A large amount of the venue just felt like empty wasted space. I remember last year it was so packed with people and things going on it felt like you could barely get through the walkways. If you aren't super into fighting games, there was next to no variety in what was going on this year. Arcade free play? 99% fighting games. Pinball? Missing completely. Tabletop games you can check out? Gone.
I was also kind of disappointed in the DH Quest this year. Conceptually it should have been really fun, but it was lame how it was all completely self managed instead of having some kind of GM's at the different locations to give you quest tokens or whatever instead of you just tracking your own progress with a dry erase marker. I could have made up whatever I wanted for my score and just collected on it in the end
The rewards on the wheel for the quest were largely last years pins as well
Yes, it’s huge. But DH only takes advantage of one of the halls.
I believe it’s up there.
Yeah hall C
I liked 2-3 years ago when FCG had its own ballroom. But I get why they moved it to the main floor and the tourneys aren’t as large prize pool wise.
Everyone should really use that feedback form that DH has posted. I’m hoping since this is their only NA event, they will go all in. Especially since they should get a bigger draw.
Would you mind linking this?

I am so filling this out
Can someone run a count. How many people attended Dreamhack Atlanta?
Where can I find information about volunteer opportunities for Atlanta 2026? I want to be involved.
Apparently it was around 40K. https://x.com/Laejten/status/1985447970460901777
Okay that makes sense. It seemed a lot less crowded than Dallas is all I wanted to know
I think Dallas had like 60K. I’d imagine Atlanta will reach those numbers next year.
Eh... not really. Dont' get me wrong, I love Dreamhack... but I feel like Dallas has better Vibes, area, activites in the city than Atlanta. Maybe I didn't look hard enough, but we're also comparing a 1.3million populated city to Atlanta, which peaks at like 510k on a good year lol
This year ATL felt way less crowded to me than last, I'm not sure how the actual numbers compare
Well this upcoming dreamhack you have some + and -
IEM and ESL, along with COD and Halo Esports are always massive wherever they go, so that should bring up the attendance. But a dropped attendance due to no BYOC, which does feel like a kick to the throat if I'm being honest since a decent amount of people like to have their own setup there.
It will be interesting to see how IEM, COD< and Halo Esports Tournaments may affect the attendance to Atlanta.
Dreamhack needs to do better, I played in the mortal kombat tournament in Atlanta and they was trying to kick us out doing grand finals set, tournament started an hour late and we did not have no TO’s this is unacceptable
How many BYOC seats were there this year?
Please use the feedback form
Ok will do my apologies
No you can speak here. Im just saying make sure to throw it on there too
Thats where feedback is collected and evaluated. Here is just us all chatting
That's a Great Question, and I like to change my answer from before... Taking away BYOC won't majorly affect the Attendance, but I know a few people who love to have their own setup there to play games with and make new connections. BYOC seats felt like they were "tucked away" in the back corner of the convention, almost left out lol
You have to apply to become crew and that usually opens up about a month or two before the event.
is there going to be byoc for atlanta in may 2026?
no
thank you
community suggested alternative is momocon
what is that? can i take my pc and game? idk about that
I wish there was a spot on the survey to talk about the staff and not just the one spot to indicate a feeling towards them, some of the people that were standing near the security checkpoint on the top floor were so creepy/gross towards me 💀
If you have that kind of report, email marketing@dreamhack.com
I have attended every year of DH Atlanta. I thought this year was an improvement over the last two years. Indie Games was better put together, they had a solid game debut with Wildcard, the world champ game tournaments were exciting, etc. I would have liked better prizes for BYOC stuff and more artist/vendors, but I thought it had gotten better not worse overall.
BYOC has always been off to one side due to noise level of convention
Don't tell that to dreamhack Dallas LOL
I also think they improved the layout. It flowed better than in previous years. All they need to do is expand in some areas and I think it’ll be very solid.
BYOC was surrounded by stages this year. There was so much bass coming thru my headphones all day long it was very frustrating. In my opinion the layout was horrible compared to last year.
The major problem I had was the new MEETUPS thing they did. I thought these would be designated spaces where people could actually have meetings and talk. Instead, each spot was just a sign that said A or B, etc. stuck some place on the floor. In one case, Meeting spot B- the worst possible place for people to be standing together.... was in front of a food court, BYOC, and freeplay entrances. Every time there was a meetup there, traffic jams and getting bumped around by people ensued, not to mention there was no way to talk to a group in an area that busy. Was a good idea, terribly laid out though.
I told someone the noise this year was really turned down compared to first year Atlanta, and he laughed at me.
it was mainly the marvel rivals stage. once that fired up, it was non stop bass for the whole day. Don't recall having that problem last year. Really preferred the BYOC location last year vs where we were this past weekend. Guess that really doesn't matter anymore though. 🙁
I get PTSD from Pharos Conclave everytime I walk into the GWCC
I will never forget that stage right next to the BYOC
This is why I bring IEMs then wear my over the ear heaphones w/ mic at DH
really blocks out the noise
Talking about bad layouts. I do remember San Diego 2023. Main stage was next to Creator Hub and FGC.
Noise would have been okay, if it wasn't for the fact that they had a rock concert Saturday night.
I submitted my feedback but I seriously hope they do something for tabletop next year cause it definitely felt like a huge missing piece in the convention
I kind of wish that the Navy station that was setup right inside of the BYOC area didn't have those thin walls setup behind them, it was blocking the view of the FGC main screen that was over there. The previous years in BYOC we could just look across the floor and see at least some of the main stage screens right from our seats
That was more metal ish too lol.
Does Atlanta have TCG events? Not asking for myself, but tons of users sound disappointed that Dreamhack does not have an official tabletop section.
We just had Magic Con like a month ago
Previously DreamHack had been hosting the regional qualifiers for Magic as well
omg yes!
Gaming is dead at dreamhack. Its now a spectator con.
I mean I understand magic con was the previous month but tabletop was honestly more than that, there were other games like flesh and blood lorcana one piece etc. Plus it was super cool to see stuff like war hammer and miniature painting. But I’ve already put my feedback in the form already and I do understand that it might have been an issue with finding a company to help supply the support stuff to run a tabletop area so here’s to next year that they’re able to do it.
As a indie dev, I personally had a great Dreamhack, it was the most productive show I had all year and I've done a bigger event (momocon) and other designated gaming expos. I wish it was less loud (felt like I was getting beat up by sound lol) but I did invest in a voice amplifier before the event so that helped.
Good feedback about sound, happy to pass this forward
So to be clear regarding IEM Atlanta - with a standard DH pass, I can still watch the event but no guaranteed seating?
Correct
Fantastic. Can't wait!
Is there any official reasoning regarding the removal of BYOC
What game were you showing off? I tried a bunch and my only regret was not spending a couple hours checking everyone out.
No official reason, but DHATL already has COD and IEM CS, so there's already big events using up a lot of space.
There was a discussion earlier that debated if interest in BYOC was fading out.
I’m seeing 3-day tickets for the IEM event at dream hack Atlanta for $269, is this correct? I got my dreamhack Dallas/Cs2 event 3-day ticket for like $50 this year… I’m just curious if I’m getting the right ticket because the price difference is so vast.

Coming soon
This is for 3 days of guaranteed seating at the IEM event
Are you sure that’s correct? I thought you need the premium 3 day pass to get access to the free viewing area? I thought just the normal 3 day pass doesn’t get you access to anything.
Unless explicitly stated, most Dreamhack major tournaments, even IEM Dallas, had some open seating and the add on is to guarantee a seat.
What he says goes. Lol.
Top is the premium pass. The regular doesn’t say anything about access to IEM or CDL. Unless it’s intentionally written that way to make the premium pass sound more premium lol. I’m 100% on board if the normal 3 pass includes access to the first come first serve free area. I guess the regular 3 day pass also has that asterisk saying first come first serve.
It says it on tixr
I see it now, thanks! Very sneaky haha. That’s good to know though. Very good value for what you get.
For sure!
Left my survey. I was very thorough.
i was stabbed at dreamhack atlanta
That sounds like a different event
nah i left the world congress center and i got attacked by a homeless person
Sorry to hear that. I hope you got in contact with Atlanta Police.
i did but they havent done anything yet
This is just an error, will get fixed ✌️
Edit: fixed
Did anyone cosplay at the dream hack Atlanta 2025.... I'm thinking of doing something but I wanted to know what to expect
I was in my Halo ODST cosplay fri and sat with several of us from the 405th infantry kitted up (Spartans and ODST). We had a booth.
Is there a restriction on props
we ran orange tips/tape on our prop weapons, but we were also exhibitors so didn't come through the general admission weapons check
our things got checked during load in
LOTS of cosplayers!!! I’d say at least a third if not half were in cosplay at some point of the con.

Cosplay props will be subject to a security check and may be zip-tied, or marked with neon duct tape to mark that the prop is safe and has been checked. Edged weapons, blunt force weapons, functioning projectile weapons (guns, bows, airsoft, pellet/bb, blow gun, etc) are NOT allowed. Admission is subject to security’s approval, however we will aim to have cosplay knowledgeable volunteers and staff there to assist if there are any questions.
Did you see anyone with foam based swords or foam maces/axes just trying to figure out whether or not they're allowed provided they're not wood or steel
yes those are usually around as well.
Ok that's what I wanted to verify
tbh, i couldn't really tell as to what people's props were made of bc of my helmet and distance majority of the time. i was at our table the majority of the time.
Hi, I have a question. The IEM 3-Day tickets say they include access to the rest of the Dreamhack. Does this also mean it includes access to the free seating area of CDL Major?
If it doesnt state that in the ticket info then it doesnt include it.
why is there no byoc im so disappointed.. finding out after buying iem atlanta tickets
if there are any functions having something like this dm me plsssss
The usual meetups that were there the previous two years kind of anticipated the general atmosphere and distraction of the event apparently, so there were summit events that happened beforehand.
Any idea if the Atlanta May event is a one-off since Dallas is apparently unavailable?
Hoping we still get to keep October/November annually for Atlanta instead of hosting annually around May
To me, it feels like they want Atlanta to replace Dallas entirely, so they'll probably keep it in May and maybe find a second city for Fall.
Fwiw, Atlanta has previously been held in July, September, October, November and December.
That 2017 was cooking aka hot af when I was walking to GWCC lmao
But I got a good deal on that DH gaming chair
I missed out on a chair because it wouldn't fit in my car

So this year was my first dreamhack in Dallas next year is Atlanta can I expect all the same fixings (vendors, byoc, arcade games, cos play, etc) bc all i see on the website is cdl, halo, and IEM
Vendors, arcade, and cosplay are a recurring thing in all US events
BYOC is confirmed no for next year
Hey I was wondering if there was anyway to get put on a list for IEM premium cancellations? I’d like to upgrade my seats if the opportunity arrives
So is dreamhack ATL going to be twice a year now?
They might have a second event somewhere in the fall. Wouldn't really make sense to have the same city twice.
Shhheeessshhhh
Don’t count on it. Most likely 1 event next year unless something is in the works for a fall location, or Dallas can’t be useable w/o the arena for fall. Unsure of progress if convention center remodel. I was under the impression that they are going hall by hall
Calendar usually comes out in December right?
I was just curious about the timing is all. Why the quick turn around?
There are multiple things to consider here.
-
ESL IEM Schedule has been pretty solid / consistent for the past few years, so they would have to do an IEM event somewhere in NA on that weekend
-
Are there any convention centers that have open dates the weekend we need to have this event
-
DH already has a working relationship with GWCC and the news of the Dallas CC being redone isn’t new, it’s been rumored / in the works for like 5 years now, so I’m sure the people at EFG have been working on this for some time now.
-
The international DreamHack schedule is pretty defined as well, while the NA schedule is volatile at times, the international schedule is pretty consistent and has been for many years now.
So I’m guessing that it’s a little bit of everything, but from a financial / logistical / and partnership standpoint, Atlanta was the obvious choice.
We had eleague major here and eleague group stages for 2 majors, so pretty solid CS scene here. It makes sense, and since it already sold out the first wave, seems like a promising bet paying off.
Calendar usually comes out on DreamHack Day except for last year where it didn't. The early Atlanta announcement was also out of the norm.
Oh, forgot about Birmingham 🇬🇧 as well
Its out. Lol
I can openly say there unfortunately won't be a second one in NA next year. As much as I'd love another one to be there
And before ya worry or ask, that doesn't mean this will always be the case. Next year is just in this very weird situation with venues + timing + world cup etc that availability for an event our size is limited to times we wouldn't have been able to do. So bring on 2027?!
Loved having two reasons to travel to the US each year.
well I WILL BE THERE FOR DHATL26
Unlucky
I wanted to put a paragraph I wrote from the post survey in here, if that's okay. I hope other people still enjoy DreamHack, but with the way the con was this year, I wanted to express my disappointment, and that DHATL 26 will be my last DreamHack if things don't change.
Please please please bring back community focused activities, the lack of open-to-all tournaments and gaming is really disappointing, and this continues to lack at DreamHack, I will no longer be attending. It's a shame. I was drawn to DreamHack because of the BYOC back at Atlanta in 2022. I've made a good amount of friends there, as well as in the Freeplay. Y'all used to call a DreamHack a "community of gamers" and BYOC a "staple of a DreamHack festival." What happened to that? If you guys won't bring back BYOC, at least focus on bringing more activities and tournaments to Freeplay. I wouldn't even care if there wasn't a cash prize. The experience and social aspect of a LAN style tournament, even if it's not truly LAN, is better than any prize. If y'all continue to kill BYOC, Freeplay, and open gaming activities, I will not be coming back. I came for the social and community aspect, and y'all have been slowly killing that vibe. I understand if BYOC hasn't been profitable, as I have noticed it has shrunk a bit, but this community driven section of DreamHack needs to be compensated for elsewhere.
Dang, missed that QR code. Where was this even posted?
I saw it on the Battery's Battle and Brew Instagram
Dang, wish I saw this earlier, I don’t live far from there. Would have taken a drive there to check it out.
It was snowing in NC
It briefly snowed here as well
It 39 Fahrenheit in Jacksonville
Not used to that in Florida
lol
I love how I was in just a shirt and shorts while everyone else was wearing layers
Like this is nice, wdym?
One more thing I’d like to add to this. Then I promise I’ll shut up.
I usually bring a group of friends with me to DreamHack. DHATL 23 and 24, I brought two friends, and after the con both of them talked about how they had a lot of fun there and that they would love to come back next year. That group couldn’t make it this year because they couldn’t financially swing it this year (they are not GA locals, so and wasn’t the cheapest for them to get to Atlanta).
This year, I brought TWELVE friends, about a third being Atlanta locals. They were only at the con for at most, 2 hours a day. I asked them why? They basically all said, “There isn’t much to do, it’s fun for a few hours, but not a whole weekend.” And sadly I agree with that for this year’s festival. Nobody mentioned anything about coming back. I think the most I got was from one of my local friends saying “We could go for a day”. It’s really a shame to see that response from my friend group, considering my previous group loved it.
I even had one friend tell me, “I had more fun pregaming with y’all in Orlando than at the con.” If that isn’t a sign of problems, I don’t know what is.
Feedback is all good when it's constructive - all is good. Do note it is read and listened to and passed on. It can't always be actioned but it is read
I had a friend group attend for the first time and stayed 6-8 hours per day and immediately asked to come back in May. Any suggestions on things to do?
i couldnt even find the mrio kart, it was tucked away or something lol
The majority of the con felt like either get advertised to, spend more money, or watch esports. I guess my point is that the more community centered/social parts of DreamHack are disappearing, which is what my friend group enjoys.
Everyone comes for different reasons, but the reasons I came for are now gone.
Especially with the dates next year being literally the week after another Atlanta con I work for every year, I don’t have any motivation to save up the money for next year to do both. I personally did not enjoy the con as much as I did previous years.
I wish DreamHack the best, but it’s not for me anymore.
Yeah, they shrunk and hid the freeplay and BYOC areas this year. Also makes me think that it’s becoming an afterthought.
Atlanta this year felt like it had noticably more esports events. Next year will have Call of Duty League and IEM Counterstrike. One could make an argument that Dreamhack NA is shifting towards esports viewing rather than playing or general gaming.
the community part was with Kick's booth.
Its a streamer and esports convention for sure
Having it the week after Momocon means some will choose one or the other.
Dreamhack for esports and streaming. Momocon for general gaming and pop culture?
You obviously haven’t attended DreamHack in prior years. It used to be a lot more than that.
It seems to me extremely more focused on that now. It didn’t used to be the only thing.
I’m not a big social media fan myself. I mostly stay away from that. I just enjoyed being able to meet new like minded people, regardless of their fame, because personally I don’t really care how many numbers you got on a screen. I care about who you are as a person. I’m not one to care about or seek fame. Which is why I seem to not fit in at DreamHack anymore. It’s all pro/streamer focused now, and not for the everyday gamer. I’m going to miss the LAN style experience.
With an emphasis on creators, Dreamhack is very much a streamer's convention
Yeah, it is definitely now
It wasn’t always like that though. They still gave everyday people some love. 😭
Yee, it’s exactly this. Which is why I’ve lost interest.
I had a question I was hoping someone could help answer. I bought a CDL 3 day ticket and am super excited. However, I was wondering if I could still pop in and watch the IEM event even if it means standing? I want to guarantee a seat at cdl so wanted to lock that in but also don't want to have to pay for an extra ticket if I don't have to.
I asked internally, I would imagine. Ill let you know.
I was told yes. It falls under the free access to DreamHack all weekend long portion.
Even though streamers already have an entire con dedicated to them basically...(Twitchcon)
People have been avoiding Twitchcon like the plague for a while now
For pretty good reasons as of late the past couple years.
Guess it all depends on what you’re into. It felt like the PC freeplay area was larger than last year. I just don’t know what else they can add for things to do. Maybe expand the arcade area? BYCO is still niche technically. The festival 3 day pass is also super cheap for what you get. The CEO said this will be their biggest Dreamhack event they’ve ever done in NA. I’m sure they are gathering all the suggestions and will put on a great event.
Call of Duty League AND Intel Extreme Masters Counterstrike are already going to need a lot of space, so they'll need to figure out what they can fit, if they don't extend to BC halls.
I wouldn't necessarily call it niche tbh. Not when it was a core foundation of going to them in the first place. I didn't go to DH San Diego for example to watch the finals for I forget what game was playing then
I’m hoping they put those elsewhere. Aren’t they normally held at midsize arena?
I personally stopped caring about competitive scenes since the collapse of OWL
It’s niche in the sense of paying $200 to sit and play games on LAN.
But yeah, DH is definitely geared towards more of a casual crowd or esports
The indie area was fun to see new games and provide feedback
I would say yes to that nowadays. But before definitely not
People want that Fort money
Too sweaty for me to care about wasting time prepping for it tbh anymore. Got them bills to pay
You save money not having to pay for BYOC or bringing you PC 🙂
I have the resources to budget for byoc, just definitely not traveling 2000+ miles for it to just watch escorts when I could do it on Twitch at home
If they can manage to keep Freeplay it would be kinda manageable. Would kinda force people to play more stuff together to get big lobbies
I never done LAN before. What’s the appeal of it? Isn’t it the same as playing online since you’re just talking in a voice chat anyways? No dissing it at all lol, just curious.
Freeplay seemed to be bigger this year vs other years. But it needs improvement for sure.
Getting big coordinated lobbies to play games together is one appeal
Showing off your rig
Id say its niche for sure. Its old school.
giving a bunch of nobody kick streamers free tickets >>>> making it fun for the core audience
I don't think I've ever heard it explicitly said, but I imagine some creators who considered TwitchCon but chose not to for safety or questionable practices saw Dreamhack as an alternative.
Issue more so lies in the super parasocial relationships people make with their streamer more than anything then you got pisspoor safety/security
And that Twitchcon is explicitly a streamer convention while Dreamhack it is sort of suggested indirectly
Well also Twitch has twitchcon, there is no Kickcon, but since kick sponsors DH, is like kick subcontracting out the event
If that makes sense
@lapis scarab No real money transactions allowed here.
just asking for best book game shop trade in books
That is a better way of putting it. 🙂
what some great game shops in atlanta that i can get good deal trading in this book?
Is there going to be BYOC?
There is not
"BYOC?" is probably going to be asked a lot in this channel
Will need a BYOC command to auto-reply
Wow crazy to stop doing BYOC, the core of DreamHack...Hell of a run, GG
Honestly a good idea to have an auto bot reply for byoc
There is a website with information 😄
and yet...
I think Fortnite has proven that some users don't read and need the info shoved in their face
DreamHack no longer operates Fortnite tournaments, they are now operated by ESL (DreamHack and ESL are part of the EFG group), and have moved online.
You can join their Discord for more information (link below!)
There they will also be able to advise of any plans for in person events, and there might be future times where DreamHack hosts ESL Fortnite tournaments.

lol
Dang the real reason behind Dreamhack is over thats crazy! Goes to show companies being greedy for money ruins everything good!
I agree lol
I agree lol
Is there any reason that can be disclosed on why they aren’t doing a BYOC?
Most likely not. Regardless, it is what it is.
Just remember everything is a business and theres always someone higher above anyone in discord who makes decisions.
ive heard it was because they werent the byoc tickets werent selling
Plus 2026 will have CDL AND IEM which will use up a lot of space
It just seems like there would be some sort of statement made, similar to why Dallas didn't have a 2026 Festival, on why the Festival that started out as LAN is no longer doing LAN. Seems like the community would benefit from something like that. I'm sure the decision makers would welcome that feedback.
For sure. Id like to know as well!
Dallas has already been answered. KBCC is under construction and booked next year for FIFA.
https://dreamhack.com/dallas
Oh I misread. Never mind 😅
You missed the point @lucid glade . An update similar to that for BYOC would clear some things up for the community was the point.
What is going on? Did they change it again? None of the tickets include IEM anymore?
Currently due to space and staging with floorplan adjustments with fire marshal as we're looking if the area will be a free standing or free seating, so we've removed it currently. We'll know within the coming weeks what the final change is. For those who did just buy a 3-day without an IEM ticket, if there is standing we'll then email them and let them know. Didn't want to keep it up there though with the uncertainty
This makes me worried that the rest of Dreamhack will be an afterthought, smaller, and water downed.
It makes sense byoc wouldn’t be there this time with these two events in dh. Byoc uses a lot of space that they can use for seating since the congress center is much smaller then the kbhc.
Ultimately we just have to wait and see. Hopefully things return to normal in 27
GWCC is actually much larger. They just don’t utilize it all. Maybe next year they will use the other spaces.
It is? I know it has multiple parts
Any chance there’s a list of artists that went to dreamhack Atlanta this year? I bought a wooden plaque from this one artist and I want to buy another one, but I didn’t get their social media and the link on the website showing off the artists doesn’t work anymore
Not sure how much this helps, but here’s the list of vendors according to the map.
Could also send a pic here to see if anyone recognizes it
Ooo yes this is perfect thank you so much!
I was going to go down the list, but yeah if anyone recognizes this it would be great too. He was selling wooden plaques of gaming/anime titles like this one :)
Probably Blerdwood? I think that's the place that had the bento box covers and engraved wood wraps on cups
I will say I was glad to notice the absence of the usual piles of free to download 3D printed models overflowing the artists alley this year. I think it's the first time I haven't seen a single store with any of that generic churned out stuff in it
YES THATS HIM. Thank’s so much 🙇🏻
Wait?! No byoc this year in Atlanta? Does anyone have a link to where that was discussed and not just being said in discord?
It is confirmed on the website
The no byoc is in the faq which you can see in the pins
Oh nice they gave us rainbow colors back
Theres an arean in dallas though
This is why I’m confused how they are going to host IEM and CDL. Those are usually held in arenas, not ballrooms.
CDL did fine without an arena..
The same way that it used to be done back before things were hosted in arenas. 10 years ago
Hasn’t this past season of CDL all been held at arenas?
No idea about their attendance though, just assumed it was a decent bit if they were held in arenas. But IEM is probably way more popular.
Dallas it was in one of the big halls.
Does anyone know when roughly they are gonna open creator applications
aiming for december
Thank you!!! Ill be on the lookout 👀👀
Hi, is there anyone who will be at Dreamhack in Stockholm?
This channel is for the Atlanta festival, head over to #stockholm-general instead 😄
Thanks 🙏
Are sign ups ready for may?
for what
creators, been busy so didn't see if they where up yet
Nah they arent out yet! Just keep an eye out on socials 🙂
Will do I had a major rebrand and have been doing seasonal work at amazon so been busy busy
excellent. good luck!
Just bought IEM tickets, guess we are visiting Atlanta in 2026. 😎 I hope they will still sell beer at IEM if it isn't in its own arena area this time. Beer and CS go together like peanut butter and jelly.
Thanks
What is iem
Intel Extreme Masters is a long running professional CounterStrike circuit.
Dreamhack Dallas hosted a tournament as a major event, but now it's going to DH Atlanta since its in the same month
is there a seating chart for 2026 yet?
There's no BYOC so no seating chart
woof...just seeing now that Atlanta is the only US location for 2026 and no BYOC...ouch
Anyone buy tickets for ATL yet
I did
Hopefully they announce tabletop cause I definitely will buy a ticket if they do
I didn't see any tabletop at DHATL this year
Dreamhack used to have a Tabletop section, but they stopped sometime after Dallas 2024
Waiting on creator applications before I buy
I thought I saw some doing table top last year when I got some new dnd dice at one of the vendors
Could of also been tcg tables
Holy shit...
do we have an update on this? its January and im very excited!
Im probably not going this time. Last one was more stage than anything else. And with dallas out, i fear for future dh
4 more months to go
What are the chances we’ll see some level of stage presence from Clash or Brawl at ATL this year?
Very high
Clash got a lot of foot traffic last event, so likely they'll bring it back
I’m so excited for ATL this year
No byoc !!! please bring it back. Thank you
waoh i am very surprised they aint bringin it back
thats like half of dh's identity for me
We don't know for sure for future events, all we know is it's not gonna be there for this event ^^
thanks for the clarification! praygin for '27 🙏
is there a chart showing the different seating for ESL yet?
<@&601081230989197343>
Anyone around?
I represent a nonprofit group whose interested in supporting your event locally in Atlanta in May. I'd love to be able to talk to someone and maybe jump on a video call. Feel free to DM me directly
I mean..... I kinda saw this coming after Dallas got overloaded last year left ATL with nothing but mobile games and last minute add ons
It kinda sucks actually seeing DH where I competed with Tempo Storm in HOTS get stripped down like this.
If DHDAL wasn't the same weekend as Memorial Day, I probably would have gone. In the past it was always the week after. But flying on holiday is not a risk I wanted to take, and it sounds like I dodged a storm with flights grounded.
ATL 25 was very much an esport convention with it taking up more floor space than last year. If you're not involved or following any of the tournaments, you probably weren't as engaged as 24.
With CDL AND IEM, ATL 26 will probably be just as hyperfocused
It really is all what you make it tbh. The artist alley area was still large, so plenty to just browse. Console freeplay was wells ran I thought and had a good variety. PC freeplay was large, but was kind of wonky. Indie area was cool to see, play, and talk to devs. Had a few panels and other stuff going on the other stages. Arcade area was fun too, it was just small, could for sure be improved. Definitely had a bunch of esports stuff, but I always enjoyed that bit.
Hello!! Can you DM me? Would love to chat!
I just added you, have to be friends to DM
Still waiting to have my friend and chat request accepted btw. As a reminder
Hey dreamhackers ATL. LOVE the move to May. Cannot wait 🙂
Still havent talked to anyone
Do you know the best person to talk to for specialist volunteers for the event? I am still attempting to contact a volunteer coordinator
What do you mean by specialist volunteers?
I run a local cybsecurity group and they want to support DreamHack by volunteering for any security operation center and network operation center support which is a specific skill set.
If you want to dm me we can talk more, ultimately I'm trying to get connected and see who runs this function and how so we can coordinate this effort if it's desired.
.
@carmine jasper Not sure if this is something you can help with.
@waxen tapir In the US we don’t use volunteers, everyone is paid. We do already have a fully staffed IT team for the festival but opportunities for other roles at the festival are generally posted to the EFG careers site (https://eslfaceitgroup.com/career) 2-3 months before the event. There are also normally some details posted to the participate section of the DreamHack website closer to the event (https://dreamhack.com/atlanta/participate/).
We create esports leagues and tournaments that provide more opportunity for participation and progression. This is our passion. What about yours?
Has there been any update as to when Creator Apps are opening?
Id imagine pretty soon as they typically open and close within a few months of the event start date.
I hope so! ^_^ It was originally said to hoping to be end of December then it was pushed to January and then I didn't hear anything about it since that.
Then other creators said everything was a bit of a mess so no one knew
but I'll just continue to keep an eye out for it
No mess! There is just a process, it wouldnt come out by end of December. thats pretty early. id expect in the next month or so.
^
Cool cool! Nice to hear ^_^
@grizzled path Not allowed here
Thanks wasn't sure the best place to do it. Is there any place that it is allow?
There's no official resale location/process. It's up to you to find a place to try and do that.
I mean I figured this was as good a place as any to try and find anyone looking to go to the event.
It's in direct violation of rule 4
4 - No real money trading (RMT).
We do not allow any selling of DreamHack tickets, badges, or anything else related to RMT.
Which was added because too many people were coming on here trying to scam people.
Understand. Again I apologize for posting it.
No worries. 🙂
I have just discovered that DHATL26 doesn't have a BYOC
wtf
Yup tis a shame
aw whattt
i was literally coming in here to ask what tournaments would be running for byoc
that’s upsetting
Agree
Seems like Birmingham is also not BYOC
I acknowledge that DH is historically more of a tourney that has a LAN then an LAN with tourneys (like quakecon)
But I'm very disappointed
It has not always been this way 😔
Yeah :/
I enjoyed the dallas 22 BYOC and atl 23 byoc
at least I think those are the two I went to.
Dallas did have one big issue of 25% of the BYOC emptying out after the fortnite tourney, and that was one whole corner of the byoc, felt bad.
DreamHack no longer operates Fortnite tournaments, they are now operated by ESL (DreamHack and ESL are part of the EFG group), and have moved online.
You can join their Discord for more information (link below!)

Seriously yall are just doing one festival in the US now. This sucks so bad. All the way on the east coast.
And it’s scheduled while school is still open.
does anyone know with the creator apps normaly open
within the month is my guess.
This question has probably been asked already but when will the BYC tickets go up for sale?
For this year at least, cross your fingers for the return of BYOC in the future 🤞
Seriously this is something my son and I do every year together to bond and now there is no BYOC Dallas or Atlanta.
Why are they getting rid of it?
Most likely money related, the expo is much more profitable than BYOC
But I agree, it's very sad to see it go, but hoping for a return in the future
Wasn’t DreamHack built off of that platform or was it added later?
It was originally only BYOC/LAN yes
That’s about right. Give up on what built the business.
Complaining with words doesn't fix issues. Complain with your wallet
It's just evolved. As almost all businesses do. It has clearly outgrown the LAN component of the event. Dallas had over 60,000 participants last year (only about 2000 of which were BYOC) and has grown every single year by thousands of attendees since it began. Hell, Birmingham is in its first year, will never have a BYOC, and all the CoD tickets are completely sold out.
Myself and my 5 friends that go every year will not be attending. We just aren't the target demo anymore. We'll be hitting up Quakecon this year.
just bought tickets, will be my first.
You will have a blast!
This is a good post. People, in mass market general, like video games and livestreaming. Other ideas Americans have had, such as E3, Vidcon, etc...have poor execution and are forgotten. Because Dreamhack is a good/better product about a topic they love, people in mass market general want to attend. Its like "I dont like how the World Cup is not only for Ronaldo and Messi". General soccer/football fans want to attend the World Cup and I am OK with it
It also depends on what you want out of the festival. I said Dreamhack US now is mostly an esports and streamer convention. This year will have CDL and IEM. Last year's main events in ATL were Rivals and Clash of Clans.
If you're not a streamer, hardcore fan of CS or COD, or BYOC was your reason to go, I would consider Momocon. Might be better for you. Week after DHATL as well.
You live in the Atl area or first time for both
been to Atlanta once for work didn’t explore much
Ah you got a hotel near venue??
got one by the airport.
Gonna have a good trek to the venue that’s for sure
yeeee I planned on it. honestly don’t mind, first time doing a lot 😂
I would recommend downloading lime scooter app
You can get scooters to ride to the venue and it’s cheaper than paying for parking
??? I have been to 4 ATL DH and its around a half hour drive (or more) from airport to the venue. I dont think you will take a scooter that far at night
Its a free country, but walking, scootering, or biking 10-15 miles every night is not for everyone. Try to have taxi/rideshare as backup plan would be a suggestion if you are staying outside the city
I used to live by the Airport. Taking a scooter that whole way is not a trip I recommend.
If you're by the Airport you can take Marta from College Park/Airport station straight up to Five Points and then transfer to go west two stops to Vine City.
This is the way to do it. $5 round trip.
True I have a hotel next the to the Olympic park
Having the trip back to hotel at night is not a fun trip more than 5 miles
yeee i planned on taking the train cause my hotel is right beside the station. liek 2 min walk
Is the IEM officially sold out or will there be 1 more round of sales?
whats iem
Counter Strike Tournament (Intel Extreme Masters)
Thx
Can I have a mod reach out to me please?
What's up? You can put your question here :)
@spiral wyvern Not allowed here.
u know anywhere i could?
No, since there is no official resale method.

I am also wondering this ^^
I assume there will be at least another wave since the "final wave price" is higher than the one that is currently sold out. Anyone have any other info on that?
From what I saw they already did two waves
My buddies and I bought our tickets in December, then they were sold out then saw that they added more
now they're sold out again
Im not sure if anymore waves will be dropped, but they will be announced on DH socials beforehand if they are!
So one of my buddies isn't going to atl so I'm gonna buy his tickets from him does anyone know if there's gonna be any MTG tournaments I've only been to DH Dallas last year and there was a few so was just curious
I dont think anything official for MTG has been announced yet, but it'll be on socials if it does!
sick thank you!
Hasn’t been MTG at the last few.

Hmmm maybe but I guess time will tell
Who’s excited for DreamHack ATL 2026?!
Ready to see what tourneys there are. Sad for no byoc but that just means gotta lock in for the freeplay ones 🙂
Just think, no BYOC could mean more space for vendors, tournaments, experiences, opportunities and networking!
Very true!
So excited for Atlanta!
Keep checking my inbox daily….
Just got accepted!
Congrats to everyone being accepted and remember to have the best time.
Lots of fluids and also make sure you have meds in case you get sick
Can't wait to get back and join all of the great creators at the con!
I unfortunately won’t make it to ATL but I hope you all have the most incredible time
aww man, we'll do it for you g 🔥
I will be heading to the November one!!
oh bet! Which one is that? I want to go out of the country myself, but I fear how everything is going I might be able to come back! lmao
DH Stockholm Sweden
Just got my acceptance email this morning!
Ayeeeee
Got mine also so exciting
So are they only doing one round of emails this year just today ? Just wondering I was a cohost for the KICK booth in October
Apps close in 2 days so I’m assuming there will be other rounds
Yeah that’s what I figured
That’s normally how they do it
I’m trying to Infinity Gauntlet DreamHack 2 more to go 🤞
I am so blessed to get my acceptance letter thank you DreamHack I love what yall do 🫶🫶💪🏻
Hitting that DreamHack and MomoCon weekend onslaught!
congrats!!!!
W!!!!
I’m never going a whole weekend without checking my email ever again 😭 (stupid school keeping me busy lol) I am so excited to be at DreamHack again! 🫶🏼😍 eeeee so exciting!
hey have any indie devs gotten confirmations theyve been accepted to DH Atlanta? i applied back in march but havent heard back yet
Just applied! Staffing two conventions in Atlanta back to back (hopefully), should be fun.
When do decisions come back on these? Hoping to know soon so I can plan accommodations if I’m brought on.
hello just wondering if there will be multiple waves of acceptance emails for creators?
There is
I applied, we'll see what happens 🙂
do we know when we'll start seeing more of the activities and so forth? It's in a little over 5 weeks, so just curious.
Probably 1.5 weeks before lol thats usually the case.
Yaaay, congrats. I have also been accepted❤️ it’s gonna be my first time
You usually have your first interview with Lizzie, our crew manager, and then a second one with the area manager of the area they/you think you'd be a good fit for!
Awesome! I got my interview with Lizzie tomorrow. ^^
Honestly I am not sure where I’d fit the best. I have experience with a good bit of the areas working other conventions haha.
Nothing quite at the scale of DreamHack, the biggest convention I’ve worked had about 18000 attendees
hi hi !
Hiii

Does anyone know if we need to buy extra ticktest to watch the call of duty tournaments or is it included ?
from my understanding, if you buy the 3 day one it comes with the CDL BUT it isnt guaranteed seating
Thank you, does it also come with the creators hub tickets as well? Oh I wanna get a seat 💺
i think creator hub gets you like first come first serve seating too
Has anyone received their welcome package yet?😊
Not yet
In the creator server they said it should be within the next couple of days
so i might be going and if i do im coming from Alabama
i wanna like watch the CDL major but how do i get an included ticket?
how many optic people here?
@cinder holly I remember, welcome back!
Thank you!
will there be a free play area at dh?
Everything that’s confirmed to be at DreamHack is on the website
okie!
Mods in here don’t have any inside knowledge
It says coming soon on the website so hopefully we know more soon 🙂
And staff aren’t gonna share things until they’re confirmed and ready for public consumption :3
ah i didnt know if people who run the website are here too
I too am eagerly awaiting a lot more info
They are, but obviously operating a convention this size, they don’t want to promise anything that won’t for sure happen
(I say this as an MFF staffer lol)
lmao
Also how do you know Zen?
i was planning to go to nashum a bit a go but me and the owner of the telegram chat got into drama😭
Sorry that’s more of a dm question lol
Lmao
yuh
I forget about him
their suit is adorable
I miss him lol
very floofy
They must of got buried in my DMs
eh its fine
fleshies can deal with it
you can probably see that i dont really care what people say about furris
furries*
i cant spell😭
Yeah I love it when people make fun of fursuiters. Like we wouldn’t be wearing all this if we cared about your opinions that much lol
yep
its funny how people make such a big deal out of something that doesnt involved them
These group of college kids tripped me on the escalator and laughed
thats messed up😭
they do realize you could have cut your leg open...
People are messed up, nothing you can really do about it
i support everything furries and gamers alike but not people who hate for no reason
uhhhh will friday tickets last a while ?
Got my tickets. Got accommodations.
This is my first Dream hack ever. What am I getting myself into?
lol,uh theres a cod major happening :p
I heard. Nade spam for the win.
lmao
not the nade spams😭
i have flashbacks from mw19 search and destroy...
does anybody from EU go here too?
Hey this is my first cod major, what kind of perks come with the VIP passes other than seating? Just want to get an idea beforehand.
Will there be console freeplay tournaments this year
If it’s on the website, then it’s happening!

iirc cod tickets come with everything the regular ticket would give you
i hope so
Who here plays CoD and is hitting DreamHack?
most likely me
Is there a map for the guaranteed seating like there was for IEM Dallas? like better spots cost more? or is it all going to be first come first served for the best guaranteed seets?
am also going to cod
Woo hoo
hello, will there by fighting games for DreamHack ATL next month? I am not finding anything on that
If it’s on the website, then there will be ^^
Probably not since Momocon has one like two weeks after Dreamhack
Have any of the cosplayers who competed and placed received their free tickets for this year? Still waiting.
If you havent heard yet go ahead and email support@dreamhack.com and they can help you get it!
They have just announced EWC
@unreal wadi Tekken, Fatal Fury and Street Fighter $150K Total prizepool https://dreamhack.com/atlanta/ewc/
Thanks, people prior have some rude reposnses
Wasn’t meant to be rude! That’s how DreamHack has operated for years. If it’s not on the website, expect it’s not happening.
yea, I feel like a LOT of people are feeling the same that this is a little short notice, I feel like a lot of people expected it to be announced MUCH sooner, I nearly expected there to be 2 DH ATL events due to it not being announced til today
either way, I'll be there now that Tekken will be there
Yeah, they’ve been pushing it closer and closer. I assume with Atlanta being moved to May and bringing the Dallas events with it, it’s probably caused them to take more time to figure out everything logistically. That’s at least my assumption.
Has everyone received their notifications whether they were accepted into the creator program or not? I haven’t received anything at all and I’m not sure what the deadline for notifications got moved to, after the extension.
Staff said the 20th is the expected last notice day in the creator server.
Carolina Ravassa and Lucie Pohl pulling up
https://www.groupon.com/deals/dreamhack-2-1
If y’all haven’t bought your ticket yet, Groupon has the best deal. $56 for a 3 day ticket.
That is a good deal
Tickets Secured ✅
whats up ATL
how are ya?
patiently waiting huh
Yeah, on the outside. On the inside
its not too much longer, only 3 weeks away if i remember correctly
On one hand I'm glad because I'm taking some time off from my regular job. On the other hand I have to help set up the Creator Hub.
thats good also stressful lol
A bit, but it will definitely be fun. ^_^
That reminds me of the lost city of Atlanta Futurama episode
i love all things Futurama
Ngl. Pretty nervious about going. I've never been to a gaming convention, and don't know a whole lot of people...
like I know of them, but haven't really met them
Hey, welcome 🙂
Dont forget you have options. You can arrive early morning and wait in line and talk to people you are near. I have done that and found some interesting people or similar interests just chatting before doors open, then game with others. You can also arrive later near noon and sit and watch events or panels, be anonymous and blend into the crowd. Both are OK
that sounds like a plan. I love meeting new people and we do have gaming in common, so it should be easy.
think of it as a normal con lots of new people and lots of gamers
I've never been to a con haha
ah lol
i wonder how congestes atl would be during this con lmfao
idk
Hello
Not as much as you think. The city holds multiple big events every day.
Speaking that, I remember one of the years of DHATL (I think it was 23), there was either a Falcons or United game on Saturday.
When I went to the red deck, there was a massive line of cars trying to enter, and they were stopping everyone telling people to turn around cause it’s for the convention center and reservation only. It got to us, and for some reason she didn’t believe I had a reservation. She made me pull up my code. I guess I dressed too nice for a gaming convention lmao.
Hi everyone, this is gonna be my first time in a dreamhack convention
Your gonna love it I went to dreamhack Dallas last year for cod and that was a lot of fun
Thank you, im only going for friday, plus I want to buy some shirts and some merch!
Couldn't have been 23 since I remember watching the lowest scoring Falcons game ever (they were away) and United was in offseason.
It had to have been 24 when they played the Bucs and that area was a madhouse.
Like dan Im nervous about talking to people. Want to meet others but not sure how to
If you want to meet others, show up early before doors open -- the people there are usually open to talking to others . Another idea is look at the schedule for a certain game you are interested in and go to that stage/area at that time. If you are interested in tabletop games, you might start a game and see who joins, or go to the SourPunch arcade and play a game you like and see who joins, you'll have something in common to talk about. Artist Alley and that PC building booth are usually there every year in ATL if you are interested in either hobby. Perhaps you follow a certain content creator or group that will be there doing a meetup (iffy). The Waffle House across from Olympic Park is usually hopping before/after with attendees 🙂
Fair. I actually plan to find some stuff to check this time. Looks like its, gonna be a good one.
Ive actually NEVER eaten at waffle house amazingly.
Although I enjoy them and they are done well, I think COD/IEM/CDL/tournaments/main stage/big streamers or special guests/streaming platforms are not good ways to meet others. Conversations are often "do you like it? Yea!" or "do you follow me? Yea!" Not very organic connections and it can be loud there. Another good idea is wear something you like and see who comments on it. For example: Final Fantasy Aerith. People will say "hey, you like Aerith more than Tifa?" or something and start chatting
I like watching them, but if I was going to meet people, I would plan some time for the big events and some time away from them at some other thing to meet people
I wore my Earthbound Moonside shirt last year and got some good feedback on it
Welcome! Hope you have a great time
Best thing in the world
I have a kirito costume i wear each time. Not the swords though because flight security can be a mess. I welcome anyone to come chat.
Guess i have to try it then. 😄
After the day wnds though, hotels usually have a good breakfast
Yeah you’re right
Don’t do it, it’s addicting 😭
i do wonder if the some of the clooless group goes to dreamhack
which includes streamers like big puffer grizzy pezzy and elastic droid
Eh, has steep competition. So try me. 😏
lol
I can’t wait to see how the cod area gonna look once they release the layout
me too!
It’s definitely gonna take up a good ammount of space since they adding two stages for cod and now Warzone needs space inside the challengers pit
yep! i wanna see how warzone plays out
Do regular tickets to dreamhack cover watching EWC?!
Yep!
why does the waiting have to be so long
I'm sooooo excited
I'm more nervous for the event. Never really happened before. Excited to talk to and meet people, but yes nervous
You might be nervous of the security guards and their blasters, but dont worry...if you bring someone with Jedi mindtricks, or a translator droid, you will pass thru fine 😂 👍
That's a freaking W
just remember they cant hit anything
i cant count how many weeks are away its like less than 3 right?
oki im just trying to stay up to date with everything
its hard to do so cause i also have my fursuit being made
A lot of stuff will be getting updated, especially on the website. @_@
You're in for a epic time. 😎
i never really been either
closest thing was kami con but that wasnt really gaming
Lots of new stuff out there now. Artist alley, the arcade, freeplay. Bet there will be lots more
oooo
I wonder when news about the expo section is gonna drop.
hi new frens!
This is getting so real and I'm here for it
Hey all, I was wondering when/where I can get more information about the chess tournament (times and location)?
As soon as the times are made public they'll be on the schedule! Usually downloading the app is the best way to get the most current times and such
Remember...its your time to be heard! 🔥
Hi everyone. First convention ever. Flying in from Canada to watch IEM and see what DH has.
oh gosh thats far! i hope u have safe travels!
Yessss
Thank you! Worried about the TSA line but that whole mess seems to have subsided for the most part. I'll just get to the airport super early 🙂
TSA pmo sometimes
i'm hoping there will be some fun mini arcade tournaments. maybe I might bring some stuff just for some fun. and HotD2. best in the series. can't wait to play that
i want smii7y to be at dreamhack but i doubt that'll happen
Hope there are no TSA issues for anyone. Be chill and they will be as well.
Last dh, a couple of em joked with me when they saw the cosplay swords.
Welcome! Hope you enjoy it, I certainly do
Exciting! If you are on a B1/B2 visa or if you are entering the US under the Visa Waiver Program for the 2nd+ time, then you should check out and use this app when you land in Atlanta if you aren’t part of NEXUS or Global Entry programs.
https://www.cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/mobile-passport-control
It can save A LOT of time in the immigration line. I saved about 2.5 hours doing so once during peak time.
I am a dual citizen so it shouldn’t be any trouble in the way of passports/visas! I will however pass it on to my non-American friend who’s coming too. Cheers!
Oh perfect! Then you should definitely do it!
Any US citizen can use it for the priority line
Basically does your declarations on the app, so you just show your passport and take a picture and you’re done!
Oh even better
That’s what the app is for, you get a special faster line if you do it cause you already have done that stuff on the app
Cause I travel a lot internationally I just use Global Entry, you just walk through the booth with your passport in hand, no stopping needed, it’s super convenient but it’s a long application process
Alright good to know downloading the app now. Thanks!
Of course ^^
Didn't know about this. Saving in case i ever go outside the U.S. thanks 🙂
weeeeeeee im so excited!
There’s one just for ATL or?
Might have been the creator server
Yes thats correct
facepunch will be in the event is that right?
Yee, I travel too much. I’m out of the country rn actually lmao
i think i'm lucky that Atlanta is 30 mins away from me xD
It used to be for me!
Had to move cause got too old for parents house lol
Idk, sometimes that Atlanta traffic makes the city an hour away from Atlanta
Omg don’t get me started
I lived on the south side
So it wasn’t as bad for me
But I heard the horror stories of north Atlanta all the time
It’s great that the airport is on the south side
All I had to do to get to the ATL airport
Go straight out of my neighborhood, turn north onto 85, and drive 20-25 minutes (on a good day)
Super easy
Or be like me and use Marta
wassup ATL!
atl is 2 hr 58 mind away from me
Sup, king
hru?
Hello. I am currently looking for a job. Is anyone here with a current project or a new idea?
Work, work, and getting pumped up for the DH!

Gotta stay healthy until then too... 🤔
wanting to play a game
Looking forward to when the expo list is released.
What game?
Same. I can't wait. I'm hoping to meet a lot of you guys and other creators. I've never been good at socializing.
probably apex or cs idk yet
For me, I was about a 10 minute drive out of MARTA’s service area. Route 180 ends at Palmetto. If it kept going I could take it :(
Ah sweet must have released it late yesterday. Thanks!
More to come too!
Woohoo!!!!
Good morning 🙏😁
Yeah, I know I was thinking the same thing. I’m used to it being in October. Little change‑up this year, I see.
have you been to a lot? that was the first and only i went to
was a lot of fun, i play clash royale so it was lucky they had the world finals there
normally its in other countries
That sounds fun. Yeah, I think this will be my fourth time going, and it’s always a blast for me. I’m an introvert and kinda shy, so this year I’m really trying not to be like that. I want to socialize a lot more and meet more people.
Hope you guys had a great day. We’re one day closer to DreamHack. Good night.
Hey yall I’m heading to Dreamhack ATL in May for some Fighting games was wondering if anyone knew of some good Atlanta fighting locals that I could maybe attend on Thursday 5/14?
Are they running Smash at Dreamhack ATL 2026?
The expo hall is not the only room of Dreamhack ATL, keep an eye out for freeplay rooms like this, and others! Who else is getting excited?

im really hoping i get to see optic play
Damn. Kawxkii got hacked
Have they release the schedule for the event for call of duty. I saw IEM is on there but cod has not been shown yet
