An old build of it eventually leaked, but it only had ragdolls implemented for barney and it was buggy

Currently, @hazy sorrel , it is with NBlood, BloodGDX and I'd assume Raze since it's just a souped up NBlood.
Fresh Supply is a tricky beast when it comes to modding outside of simple maps and episodes (like Death Wish or Way of Ira) I'm going to say no at this time.
I'll ask Victorious Games, who has made the only large game altering mod for Fresh Supply, Extra Crispy, if he can spare some time and help me with an installer that would do that.
I will try though... It took 17 years to get to this point so I'm just happy that this project now has a new public release

Here is the first ever Fresh Supply supported versions of one of the first big projects for Blood, Bloodlines!
Started late 90s, the final beta version released Feb 2002 and it sat buried, until I randomly watched some playthroughs on YouTube by Pagb666. I was inspired to try and finish stuff out, and especially with new sourceports, thought I could do something cool.
***This is a branch of the main project. I had to load old 90s maps that were 100% vanilla compatible. I also had to make some adjustments to some of the maps as FS doesn't like our fake ROR for certain effects, etc. Thanks to Victorious Games for helping get this compatible.
SO!!!!!!!! Please test this out, make sure it installs for you and you can load it up, etc. and ENJOY some late 90s/early 2000s jank!

So NBlood, GDX...
You create a folder in your Blood directory for your mod, and everything goes in there... each has their little nuances, but its kind the same for both process. Each sourceport just reads the info from that directory, and wala. Really clean.
FS...
You drop folder in with your mod content, then in that folder you install on top of Fresh Supply. Then when you want to switch mods or play vanilla, you uninstall the mod.
That's REALLY basic.
It also reads rff (Blood's pak file basically) differently, and I had to make several tiny but critical map changes as FS doesn't like the way many Blood mappers use Blood's Fake ROR to create different effects...

does anyone know the best method for keeping floating objects upright in water? should I be doing it physically or should I be faking the rotation?
can't you just rotate the object with a vector perpendicular to the vector going from its "feet" to its "head"?
like so
by an intensity proportional to the projection of the feet-to-head onto imaginary flat ground vector
This way the intensity is 0 when the object is upright
that's what I started off trying and it results in all objects spinning like a top in uniform directions until they become level again
which is making me think that physically doing it isnt the answer
to clarify on that, I don't think it's a problem with the physics, it's just a problem with how Unity handles euler angles when they wrap around from 360 or 0, making it think that it needs to make unnecessary rotations to right all axis instead of just one of them
or something to that degree
Rotation implies a vector that is changing projection of the direction onto the ground over time.
While it should just be the same line
but i cannot say much else without console prints
mh perhaps you can think of it as a pendulum
i guess i might be misunderstanding something about the math, as right now my problem is that if an object has the rotation of -180, 0, -180, it is technically "upright" but if you were to use the object's transform, it would not indicate as such, so if you were to rotate it back to 0, 0, 0, it would need to make multiple rotations that are unintuitive to how something would rotate in water in real life
just apply a vertical vector like a gravity
hence that the objects spin like tops when they are just simply supposed to barely reangle to upright

is it hard to make a game with Source engine? whether it's a HL2 mod or a standalone game
the biggest problem I've found with it
is that everything is pretty much native format
thankfully there's decades of tools for just about anything you're planning to import
and it seems like it's a mess when it comes to animation? but I'm not quite sure
but nevermind my rambling. Most of it is documented and there's lots of communities that still push the engine to its limits
A standalone game might be a problem since iirc valve doesnt license it anymore
Source 2 is really good to work with
at least Hammer is amazing
but the rest of the toolset is kind of limited right now
Source Engine C++ is rather clean to work with.
While some people might complain it relies on a rather outdated C++ syntax (no type safety yadayadayada) it is easy to get into if you have some will to put effort into it.
I'm asking mostly because for some reason I always loved how Source games look and feel, and never saw a game done in other engine that got close to it

each weapon used by the character you play as is an energy weapon, your battery for each weapon all have 100 charge and 15 charge in your gun, I may try to make a way to recharge it, maybe even make an HEV-like station to recharge your gun batteries
I will not add ironsights to other weapons than Magnul (the Semi Auto starter pistol) and other pistols I might add

The animations are sprites. They were handmade by the artist, then scanned and coloured digitally.
I am programming, the art is made by someone else. So all credit goes to him.
I tweak the framerate and offsets here and there and tweak some sounds. We're currently 3 people actively working on the project.

Yeah, custom monsters are part of the plan too, but our current focus is to have the weaponry for each playerclass done.
Animating monsters is way more difficult, since you have at least 5 angles to animate, which means 5 times more work by definition.
Get the weapons right, then the monsters, then the maps.
Each playerclass should have its own weaponry and mechanics, so each player should have a different overall feel throughout the campaign.

So I added bonus games modes from Wolfenstein: The New Order into RealRTCW (rtcw mod) It looks something like this:

Walk in the park - No HUD, low TTK for both player and enemies.

Ironman - no manual saves. Only autosave at the start of each level. Death Incarnate.

Hardcore - no armor and health pickups. Death Incarnate.

999 mode - 999 ammo, 999 health, that slowly reducing to 50. Death Incarnate.

Nightmare - no HUD, no manual saves, no health and armor pickups. Death Incarnate. Player is granted with vampirism ability. (melee kills restores health).
Also WIP:
Classic mode - centered weapon, increased movement speed, no stamina depletion. No reload.
Stick and Stones - grenades and knife only. Player is immune to explosive damage.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

my ultrakill modding api can load textures B) its not much so far but im workin on it. i havent modded for any 3d games before, especially one where i have to actually make the modding api

Animations would be tricky because Unity only allows the creation of legacy animation clips at runtime, and Ultrakill uses animators

What are the ramifications of having larger map boundaries in Trenchbroom? Like instead of -4000, 4000, its -8000, 8000?

trenchbroom can be used for games that arent just dusk!
and there arent any in particular depending on what youre doing

Posted a video 4 months ago updating my progress and then stopped work on the project because even with my decent PC setup, lighting takes 30-40 minutes to bake, and i didnt have the motivation to continue at the time. Can only stare at the same project in the editor for hours and days on end before you go mad.

I took a long hiatus, but yeah.
I had several issues with broken hdd, pandemic and monitors.
Plus i switched to other projects, doosk being one of them, but yeah, I still had pending those weapons upgrades for years.
(I also needed to rewrite the upgrade mechanic after a mod implemented a similar mechanic to the one I was working)
Part of the previous scrapped mechanic can be played on the dtouch version of the mod, where upgrade unlocks by completing maps, instead of current token mechanic.

The tool we're all using these days is XMapedit, which is still dos based but uses a ton of extended features afforded to us by NBlood and subsequently the Raze sourceport.... Like Custom Dudes.
It also as a TON of quality of life improvements and honestly, other than having to drag onto Dosbox to open, it's amazing.
BME's site and the XMapedit Manual are great sources for anyone wanting to edit

An example that comes to mind is the 2013 Rise of the Triad remake, which had a pretty limited budget as far as I remember
