Is anything ever going to be done about the fact that with or without aa this game is an eyesore, it either looks like my screen is filled with knives or I'm playing vaseline vision the video game, and i'd like to be able to play this without getting a migraine from either, like its really hard for me to sit here and look at my screen for any prolonged period of time and I can't say that about many games.

The specularity combined with the normal maps seems to create this odd artifacting effect that hurts my eyes. It's not just an art style thing I've seen this in other games like d16 but in that game and others you can use texture filtering or aa to fix it, the aa does fix it, but it looks so blurry it feels like I need glasses.

@sturdy crystal I bought it over Christmas on a whim and I wasn't disappointed. There's a reasonable amount of content so far to keep you busy. I felt it was worth getting on the bandwagon early.

@pliant sluice the AETURNUM (bfg) is best fired sorta up and center in a room, it does about 100 damage per beam IIRC. As for the floating guys the azure orb is a good fire and forget weapon, the sword also works well since it's a wide projectile. You can also chain lightning them if there's a weaker enemy nearby with voltride.

Given that the 7th episode is still to come, it's challenging to make an educated guess. If the last episode is roughly as long as the others, I'd say you're looking at around 30-45 mins of gameplay per episode on an initial playthrough. That'd give you anything between 3 1/2 and a good 5h of time just for an initial playthrough of the campaign. Going back for secret hunting will probably give you an additional 5-7h in the campaign. And then there's endless with a total of 3 arenas available at launch and 2 available now. Those would hypothetically give you an infinite amount of additional playtime. I'm currently at around 40h in AE and I'm still not tired of it.

Oh, and there're 4 difficulty settings, Evil being the ultimate challenge, and warrior mode, which also mixes things up and adds to the playtime
