Hello everyone, i have i question, is it intended that the game without Anti Aliasing looks very noisy with extremly chunky textures? It's so noisy it makes feel sick, especially when i move. I have to add that i never got sick from games in the past 10 Years, even with a low fov and lots of colors while being also very fast paced. With FXAA i have the same problem but with Temporal AA it's gone by the way

UE4 only does post process AA. It's more of a engine limitation than a design choice. Other UE4 games have the same issue

i first encountered the "you are unworthy, turn back" thing and assumed that there was a higher difficulty but was locked until you beat the game on Hard
so thats what i did, and then i discovered it was available immediately, lol

I used to casually play UV fastmonsters without actually noticing a difference between it being on or off.

Level Design was fun, enemies felt nicely balanced, music was really atmospheric, and the visual style was 👌
Hope you guys can finish out strong with Episode 7.
6 is probably going to be my favorite considering I wasn't a huge fan of Solar Solstice or The Forges

ive occasionally exceeded the number of secrets / kills / destroyables in some maps

this was when i had finished the map and was hunting for missed secrets
i was under the enemy total when i revisited the silver key platform high up in the air, then dropped down the normal way through the bars that open up, and that spawned some enemies i had forgotten about
before, when i got the key, i jumped off a different area and they didnt spawn, so im not sure if that had anything to do with it or if it was just a fluke

where does Solar Solstice sit on the line of episodes?
Lunar Solstice is obviously first, Realm of the Sentinels or w/e is second, but is Solar Solstice 3? 4? 5?
I ask because going from Realm of the Sentinels to Solar Solstice I noticed a pretty significant jump in enemy difficulty
I certainly welcome it because it makes me think more tactically about my weapons but it kind of came as a surprise

-More enemies
-Less HP
-Require (significantly) more souls to go into soul mode
-Enemies have 20% more HP and Speed
-Lots of % based chances are set to 100%, like parasite spawns, dodge chances etc

anyway I'm enjoying Evil difficulty more than Hard. Maybe its just me but the game has felt a bit too easy
Solar Solstice was fun because the enemies felt like they had specific counters and ideal weapons to use against them (shield guys and the sword, big dudes and the voltride, etc.)
its a bit of a surprise to me since I don't usually play games on very hard difficulties
I'll play older Doom WADs on UV and newer ones on HMP
also I felt like I haven't really had much need for Soul Mode, though I haven't tried Evil all that much. Played the first level of the Forges on Evil and got my ass handed to me at the big laser field
game's still a lot of fun though and I'm enjoying it. Can't wait to polish off Forges on Evil so I can try the other worlds on Evil

savescummed the hell out of the final boss (and actually found a bug! rapid loading of saves makes the molten green metal dispensers not work as expected. sometimes the buttons won't respond normally)

I am still working my way through the gauntlet, but the levels feel distinctly malevolent and very much like a meatgrinder just there to serve pain in all kinds of flavours and ruin your day in the best kind of way.
