Alvis is not just a || computer ||. It will make much more sense in the other games. Basically, without spoiling too much, Xenoblade as a whole tackles heavily on philophical questions and theories like how the reality is just a simulation (called simulation hypothesis) and Gnosticism. Also, I don't see how that plot twist is some sort of an ass-pull (basing on how you word things). Xenoblade (and Xeno metaseries as a whole really) is very sci fi based mixed with some fantasy. It's not being cheated as if it's genre switching when at the very beginning, you're literally fighting mechs with a sword that looks light saber inspired. That's pretty sci fi to me. Yeah Takahashi, the writer and director of the games has been obsessed about making a 6 game series since his first game with Xenogears

He wanted to make that into 6 game series, it didn't work. Then he did Xenosaga which he got a trilogy but not 6 games which he was angry about.

And when you see Xenoblade has SO MUCH stuff that are literally from Gears and Saga (Literally XC 1 is like 80% identical to Gears), its obvious that he is going to make Xenoblade a 6 game series and we are going to get another trilogy

The DLC of 3 is a prequel. There's only 1 scene in the entire game that sort of shows us something that happens after the events of 3, but what happened? We have no idea and there's a million interpretations

It actually makes it worse and more convuluted and confusing. It's a pure fanservice game, so it does the job for many people who likes the series, but story wise, its not good

Like it makes no sense to the point where the writer/director had to basically explain the plot holes of what the hell happened with the story in an interview and release it in book. And it still makes no sense 😆

Probably the best decision I've ever made.

The gameplay during the story can be boring, especially if it is your first time, but after unlocking skells it gets very fun. Also the postgame is probably the best in series

I'm stuck on the Telethia boss in Bionis Heart in Xenoblade 1. My party is at level 71 (with Riki and Shulk at 72) I tried Sharla/Riki/Dunban, Shulk/Riki/Dunban, and Shulk/Reyn/Riki and none of those are going very well for me. I'm guessing it's also my fault since the level isn't that high but yeah I just die very quickly lol.
