Help
Is leveling up classes for everyone important? I kinda wanna just leave everyone as their S tier class.
Yeah it’s very helpful
How so?
When you level up in other classes, you gain access to an art from that class that can be used in any other class
So exploring other classes to find good synergy or good arts is very worth it
Is it possible to play through the game without doing that? I care much more about the story anyway.
Yeah but it’ll definitely be a lot harder
I’ll just change the difficulty to easy if it does.
Learning new arts and mixing and matching them was really fun, in my opinion.
I didn't do it until one of the last chapters and I was playing on normal dificulty. I was pretty much qlways 3 levels underleveled too so it's pretty doable
Thanks, yeah so far it seems pretty chill. I leveled up The S, A, and B tiers for each character and just returned them each back to their respective S tiers. I totally get how people would get into it but I typically just auto-build. I have a big game backlog and mostly focused on the story but I do love the battle system
I mostly focused on the story too and rarely used my time improving on other classes.
But I'm planning to 100% it on my second playthrough.
I’ll definitely come back and do other stuff. I do that with other games.
Only problem with doing that in XC1 is some sidequests disappear if you progress to far
Ah. Yeh I’m on XC3 right now. Which one should I play next? Should I just go backwards? I hope they’re all this good cause XC3 is phenomenal.
Do XCDE then XC2
i stand corrected. the hero classes are too awesome to ignore lol.
the only thing thats annoying is when the oroborous dont match the class of the characters
or interlink or whatever its called
I also recomend doing the sidequests for the heroes that are optional cause they have voiced cutscenes and are a part of the story if ur already going out of the way to level classes
Yess xc3 is amazing, xc2 seems very good too but im not sure about definitive edition (btw its graphics are a bit off too)
Close call
Holy no kidding
[Xenoblade DE SPOILERS]
I need help....
||I'm playing Chapter 15 of the game, and I've reached the point where Egil takes control of the Mechonis. I want to complete all the quests in Fallen Arm before moving on to the Mechonis core. One of those quests requires me to collect three pieces of bronze wood from the Mechonis field. However, I can no longer fast travel there. Am I stuck? Or is there a way to get back to the Mechonis?||
It's giving me Indol flashback
Ngl I remember a lot of the affinity ones
And the generic ones are great sources of gold
I’m replaying it now and man I forgot just how much stuff you can do there was before even leaving tephra cave
It’s so cool
I'm blocked at the Spirit Crucible Elpys. How can i defeat these illusions ?
Since Nintendo's upcoming play test is an MMO, what do you guys think of a Xenoblade MMO?
PLSPLSPLSPLSPLS
Bring back xeno x since that’s just what it was 🔥🔥
I would love for them to do that. I have Xenoblade Chronicles X, but I didn't really have a chance to engage with the online elements properly.
They could let you choose from all of the races in Xenoblade 1-3 when making your character.
That'd be cool but wouldn't make much lore sense
Have never played the series but looking to get into new games in the switch. I do like rpgs. Is this one to get into?
Yes 🙏
Rebuild humanity and survive on the mysterious planet Mira in this open-world action RPG! This visually enhanced version includes newly added story elements and more. Paid Nintendo Switch Onl...
We fucking won
yay!!!
That's epic. Now I'm not sure if I should wait for this and start again, or finish my Wii U playthrough.
Maybe I'll try and finish the Wii U one first, and then play this again later for the online functionality.

Same…
My Wii U copy is still unopened though LMAO 😭
Surely right
Ill be honest the switch looks miles better but wiiu doesn't look bad compared to xc1 on wii
Fr
I really love the sharp render that is especially vissible on the telethia and the character models
In XC1 DE Alvis’s design had a key removed from it
There is a song in XCX called “The Key we Lost”
In XCX DE Lin’s design has one of her Monado hairpins removed
Are the missing key and this extra Monado lost in the same place? What is meant by this? https://t.co/9xLJDhv1ot
absolutely nothing is meant by that
Something will be meant by it
Anyone have tips for the ||lorithia boss fight|| in chapter 17 of xenoblade 1? I keep dying very early on in the fught, lvl 68-69 atm
You have to be in lvl 70s iinm for the boss' name not to be in red (higher level than you = faster, making your attacks rarely hit). You also have to use ether/magic attack for this fight, physical damage take longer to reduce boss' hp. I had problem with this boss too
Is yellow enough? Leveled up my characters to 70 and now her name is yellow
It'll be possible but still very difficult
So to be safe do brown or lower?
Yeah
After bullying a gorilla cosplaying as a furry off the side of a cliff several times, my party is now lvl 72-73, gonna try again soon
Good luck bro. Ether up gems might help too
I beat ||lorithia||, but struggled again on ||zanza||, so i reloaded my farming save and got to lvl 77 last night, gonna lvl up to lvl 80 before i retry
Although I'll need to do the sections starting after the ||dragon fight|| all over again
at least it seems like it is finally Full HD now
still amazed how this was running on the Wii U in the first place
80 sounds high enough for him. Higher than that, he will become too easy
I’m late but holy shit xenoblade x on SWITCH 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Still waiting on the Collector's Edition announcement
still have time to do NG+ on Xeno2 and XenoDE before release
Have plans to do NG+ on the main trilogy too
I've beaten the main game now, playing through future connected now, I'm at the part where ||you find the ether crystal after asking the old lady where it is|| (future connected spoilers)
Cool, I haven't play future connected yet
Also, idk if its just me, but melia sounds different in the future connected stuff vs the main game
I just think it’s cuz she got older
There was 10 years in between xeno 1 and DE which had fc along with it
Putting the last scene in the whole game in the trailer was crazy work
love xenoblade x
Finished xenoblade future connected
Same VA ten years apart
that’s what age does to you ig
Yeah lol
Also a lot more work experience
Remember, Melia's VA, Jenna Coleman, was Clara Oswald in Doctor Who
True…
W
I'm playing through Torna.
I'm in Gormott. I have five community members left until I reach level 4. I save.
I get to the point where ||Torna transforms into its true form because of Malos' bored ass. I get through most of the inside of Torna.|| I decide to go to a campsite to level up.
Big mistake.
The options don't pop up. The characters just sit there. I am softlocked.
I decide to close and reopen the game. That's when I learn that autosave doesn't exist.
I am put back in Gormott. Five more community members left until I reach level 4.
Rip 😭
Malos' bored ass
I just realized, ||in the second-to-last cutscene of Chapter 7 in Xenoblade 2, Rex awakens Pneuma and wields her sword. Malos says "A new sword?!", in a shocked tone, as if he DIDN'T see Mythra wield the damn thing in their final confrontation in Torna.||
||They duked it out in the mf sky ffs||
The english dub was missing context that the immediate next gameplay portion was supposed to be Torna, but it was scrapped so they could refine it
Ah.
I wonder what Malos said in Japanese dub then
I'm thinking that instead of doing NG+ of the trilogy per month until X DE arrives, I'll finish the Xenosaga trilogy instead.
I guess I can do NG+'s for the main trilogy and X DE at a later date
I sure do hope xeno 3 doesn't have any extra content in ng+ cuz I'm never doing that one LOL
Don’t think so?
it doesn't
I couldn't remember if the amiibo less amiibo rewards were NG+ or not
Scared the crap out of me
Jumpscare
mfw you get a xenoblade 2 reference for playing xenoblade 2 first
because XC2 was first on switch
i finally decided to play the xenoblade series and starting with 2.
is there anything im missing out by not playing in chronological order? and what about the dlcs aka expansion pass
maybe. it's standalone enough, but you will be missing out on some context
but don't play 3's expansion pass without playing 1 and 2 first. you will be completely lost
I played 2 first too
Yeah, you’ll miss a few fun details, especially around the ending, but other than that it’s fine
what should you play first Torna dlc first or xc2?
XC2
Yeah they do 😭
How important is playing as different characters in XC 1 and 2?
I only played as shulk and rex and rarely experimented with others, have i limited my expirience of the game because of this?
In 2 it's not important at all but I'd still recommend it cuz it's fun; in 1 there are several times throughout the story where you're forced to play as different characters so not only do I recommend it for fun I recommend it to get accustomed to them through gameplay
Yeah because once i finished 1’s main story i stopped playing it and felt like theres still more to do idk
There's a TON of endgame content, it's awesome
Like what? Is it just super bosses?
Super bosses yeah, but a ton of side quests and the colony 6 rebuild too
A bunch of areas unlock right about when you beat the game too
Not after it granted so it is technically possible to access before finishing the game
Ahh right, what characters do recomend playing as in XC1?
I like to play Dunban and rein a lot, but all of them are pretty fun in their own right
Especially if you mix up arts a lot
Fair, i remember playing dunban for abit but shulk ai was not favorable
One of my favorite things to do in the endgame was completely shuffle up my parties and adjust the arts afterwards
Sometimes id end up with sharla tank build if she got paired with shulk and melia
Ohh right, is there a website for different party structures for all the games?
Playing through XC3 and am curious as to whats good
I’m not sure actually, sorry
In one I’d literally close my eyes and hold up on the l stick for a while, then press a
Hell yeah
2 has a lot less party members and I’d usually only shuffle around blades to level them up, but it was still fun to shift characters and blades frequently
In 3 I’d mix and match classes constantly and bring a hero based on the role I was missing with the other 6 and if I was even I’d pick a hero to increase xp for one of the ones I had equipped
Yeah i enjoyed shifting blades around in 2, i used rex, morag and zeke as a healer
Since all i got were healers for him
That’s unfortunate 💀
Nah it worked out quite well for me, had alot of elemental coverage, ended up getting 6 element orbs on the final boss, did a chain attack whilst it was at half health and defeated it
Wow
I'm playing DE, and I got a problemo. ||I'm fighting this crazy bird lady named Tyrea and this weird ass Telethia. I am at level 39. I killed the Telethia once, but no luck with Tyrea. I've leveled up every art. I've tried switching party members after every loss like I'm trying to solve a damn Rubix Cube. The only solution I can think of at the moment is grinding until I can actually win the fight.
If anyone has any advice on how to beat her, and maybe a recipe for the wings on her head, gimme.||
Yeah
If so my recommended party for that fight is shulk, melia, and dunban with dunban's agility stacked as high as it can go
Yeah I thought so; that art's very helpful in the fight
If you have any haste or double attack gems, pop them both on shulk so you can try to keep the monado art ready all the time
I seem to have missed the very concept of gems. I don't have any in my inventory, nor do I know where to get any.
Oh wild that's a pretty big issue
In colony 9, there's a landmark called the Gem Man's Stand I think; if you talk to the npc called the Gem Man he teaches you how to make gems and how they work
Basically some weapons and armors allow you to attatch gems to them which you can use to give the characters that have the items equipped to gain various buffs
Some gems increase stats, some reduce the time between auto attacks, some give random chances to debuff enemies
You can craft gems from crystals dropped from enemies and ether deposits
There's a wholly unique minigame dedicated to gem crafting, it's kind of funny
Once you rebuild colony 6 to level 1 in each section, you gain the ability to craft gems wherever you want rather than only in colony 9 at the gem man's stall
If there’s criticism for the Xenoblade series, what would it be?
series as a whole or individual games?
I think the resolution when playing in handheld is up there
if you meant individual:
I think for xc1 the part in the story where you need to rescue a certain NPC a milion times.
for xc2 definitely the lack of tutorials and not being able to replay the tutorials.
for xc3 they fixed a lot of things. One might even call the game perfection, If anything probably that some hero quests are optional even though they add a lot of content to the game with voiced cutscenes.
1 - Too many lazy fetch quests
2 - Tonal and pacing whiplash in the narrative
3 - Too easy
Overall? They're way too long for their own good. Some dialogues get hammered in repetitively so some cuts here and there would benefit the series in the long run.
But make no mistake, I still rate the series and each games very highly.
if 3 was too easy for you, you probably played on easy mode, for me it was quite hard at times
Xenoblade X definitely has some criticisms.
Like the crazy grind you have to do for certain items
And the servers not being up which locks many items
good thing we getting a remake
or at least a port with enhancements
or whatever you wanna call it
Nah, I played on Normal. Minus maybe Consul || J || battle, I played the entire game with no sweat.
I still need to finish FR but Im way too underleveled and Im losing to a boss at 90% health on easy mode
Just do some exploration and side quests (which are great this time around) and you won't even need to grind for the boss fights. If the character levels are your problem, use your bonus xps to level up on campsites.
I used all of my bonus exp and am still 3 levels too low
I played it on hard and made sure to stay under leveled and it was still too easy
Yeah I heard hard mode isn't even that hard minus the initial battles
I'm honestly planning to do hard modes on the trilogy plus XDE when I get to NG+ them
Hopefully, within next year.
Still plan to do the post game stuff then play Atlus titles and the entire Trails series
this is where I'm stuck
ill do a spoiler thingy
everyone in my party is lv 47
any advice?
Ah, FR?
Yeah, that battle is tough.

Just do what I did. Explore some more, complete collectopedia, do the side quests.
Oh, and spam || Rex's Double Edged Sword || to the heavens.
As much as possible, keep the healers alive so they can keep reviving you.
theres a collectopedia...
in fr?
Yep
where in the menu can I find it or is it in a town?
Press Y, click Affinity Goals and it will show all the things you can discover and stuff. Including Collecropaedia.
no tutorial told me this or I skipped it
omg I have a ton of them
how do I convert all of this into exp though
You need to collect them all thus why it's called that 😅
At least by section or area
I got like 500 ap lol
damn I got him down to 30% but my healers died from an aoe attack
There's another tip to beat him
Give Nikol the healer skill
I forgot what the accessory was called
Ah
Memory Locket
Yeah, obtain that and then give it to Nikol.
That way, you'll have three characters who can revive others.
Just follow this post here
A pretty good chunk of Torna ngl.
forced side quests
I opened the relic but I don't think I got it
Im resetting my game cuz I think that should have been it
I reset and it's not there
I should not have reset... I have to collect my entire collectopaedia again...
Is that the one where you kinda have to do some parkour stuff? 'Cause that part was tricky.
Nice nice
Now give it to Nikol, spam Rex's Double Edged Sword, and do as much chain attack as possible. Even better if you can daze, topple, and launch.
Im doing chain attacks but ||"A"|| for some reason makes me go over the 99% treshold
u gotta be kidding me
all because ||A somehow goes over 99||
oh its cuz I use attack manuals...
bruh
Yo im making a sick xc3 game on scratch rn
Thats so cool
I finally beat him and the story got even better and better
omg the ||alpha|| theme song is so fire
Peak
bro... he just oneshot my entire party...
NOOO It's over 😔
this game series is the best out there no matter what anyone else says
For Xenoblade 2, the pouch items, is there any hints on what there favorites is or you just gotta find out randomly?
Some are hinted or given, but some give no clues
Same actually
Ive heard really good things about future redeemed i really want it but is it worth it?
I just finished it, it's amazing
But can only reccomend it if you have played all 3 games
xenoblade 3 spoiler: this certainly is... a character, I can say that much
Beat all the DE super bosses 😍
Dunban’s so insanely good
Man has the agility to hit anything
Awesome. Do you farm a lot of gems for that
I didnt have to go out of my way to farm them, but yeah crafting them did help a lot
Especially with the bosses’ spikes
U mean like... ||rebuilding colony 6 and retrieving all 5 unique monados cuz I can't think of anything else||
That and all the ||extra tephra cave quests, the super bosses, finishing the collectopaedia, and all the high entia quests post alcamoth||
||I completed colectopaedia in the main game except for that one cave that you can't enter anymore after a certain chapter, it's been too long so I forgot it's name||
You also can’t complete the “other” section without killing a super boss
||since you need to have the high entia lady in colony 6, have completed her quest, and then trade her the super bosses’ unique droppables for the love source||
No, to complete the “other” page in the collectopaedia
Yeah, I said “also” cuz I knew which one you were referring to
Oh, that one you still have some access too so you’re able to complete the collectopaedia for it
I thought you were talking about ||mechanic core||
||Which you’re completely locked out of by the end of the game||
I think you can't get every item from it though
You definitely can, it’s just a bit trickier since there’s less spots
Yeah I remember that but by that, maybe I didn't complete that one either
||There are two more sections that get permanently locked out; sword valley and agniritha||
||whats agnirita? bionis interior?||
||The city at the top of the mechonis||
Ohhhh
Yeah true
I really want to play xcde again but the resolution really makes it look bad
Rip
Maybe I'll emulate it this time (yes I own a real copy of the game)
For the 60fps
And resolution ofc
How long is FC, FR, and Torna? The DLCs
I think for me it was like: 15 20 25 respectively
Torna is a bit longer for reasons but the story itself is around 6 hours
For every game
So, I am getting ready to play XC 3 for the first time. Any tips or suggestions for my play-through?
don't use the bonus XP
Do the optional hero quests. Swap classes as soon as they reach max rank. Do skirmishes for nopon coins. There is a very hard battle when you reach about level 50 with multiple enemies but there is a way to make the battle way easier. You will know what I'm talking about when you get there. And my last tip: don't google infinite chain attack damage combos, it makes the game way less fun
For the endgame, always have at least one Agnus healer and one Kever healer.
You can get one from a container at the Cascade Ferronis Hulk
Then get this too as soon as possible
I do have the dlc. Should I go ahead and download and activate it all before I start ?
explore and explore, try to uncover every hidden item on the map, though some you'll find can't be accessed without advancing the story.
also, learn the driver combo system for chain attacks
very beneficial to use break/topple/launch BEFORE launching a chain attack because launched enemies don't block attacks
and take more damage
also level up all of your classes as far as you can, they start out maxxing at level 10 but later you can do ascension quests to level them up to 20 and the perks/skills are very worth it
also recommended to play the base game and finish it before the DLC story
it's better that way
In my oppinion chronological order is the best order to play the games but whichever order you play, play future redeemed last 🙏
https://youtu.be/ah9JgFGdqWU?si=1duMItzkCAX-6Kvr a second trailer?
Pre-order Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition now: https://ninten.do/6006o2lWp

you can't see it in this trailer, but they raised the level cap
@fleet valley Where can you see the level cap increase and what’s the new cap?
Here's some footage for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch! More details: https://www.perfectly-nintendo.com/xenoblade-chronicles-x-definitive-edition-gets-a-second-trailer-early-support-pack-announced/
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition comes out on Nintendo Switch on March 20th worldwide!
© 2025 Nintendo / ...
because of course Japan gets exclusive footage before the rest of the world
i'm not sure what the new cap is though
I’d assume 99 to bring it in line with the other 3 yeah
after seeing gameplay of x and the original im considering grabbing a game voucher and getting those 2
i already have 2 and 3 without dlc
It’s worth it.
Xenoblade Chronicles 1 is my favorite of the 4 games and it’s one of my all time favorite games
When someone asks me to rate them in order I get hella stressed out cuz in my oppinion they are all my favourite games I have played so I can't really pick a favourite
I think mine goes something like 3 = 1 > 2 > X. I haven't finished X, however.
I think for me too but I haven't played X but I heard it isn't really story focussed so I think X will be last although I am quite excited to play it for a first time
For XC 2, the trust system, does it disperse to all party members or only the active ones in the party?
no xenoblade gameplay in the switch 2 anouncement trailer... bad video
You two think alike
he has definitely seen my message here
can we all agree we want a xenoblade warriors game with every party member playable?
I think they should make a new IP. Not spoiling the trilogy, would you guys say the story is like all done for?
XC3 and FR leaves room for the series to continue.
Anyways, Monolith has been working on a new IP for a while now.
They've been recruiting for that.
If we do get a new Xenoblade, do you think it'll have another Marketable Red Sword?
Why not change it up for the next trilogy?
Make it green sword for the next three games
Or just make it mythr colored
Heads up, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector's Edition will be restocked on May via MyNintendo UK.
Then a purple sword for the three games after that.
Azure shotgun
What does it include? Like a steelbook and an art book?
Yup
EU had a steelbook?
artbook
A new trilogy or new up sounds better. Let the series soak in for a bit. New stuff
Almost done with XC2. Definitely enjoying it
h
So true
i hate when the group disappears on my discord
Yeah that’s definitely my least favorite thing about threads
The way they just completely peace out if they’re inactive for too long
i just beaten XC2
Join the club, we got jackets with Aegis Cores embroidered on the back.
Another day another me begging for Monolith Soft to sell these Nopon plushies. 🥺
Man 😔
Definitely a unique experience. The base XC2. Haven’t played Torna
felt rushed in some areas.
I enjoy the cast of characters definitely.
I hate the gatcha system though
Just finished Future Redeemed last night. It was really amazing, but it left me with more questions than answers, ||especially the post-credit scene.||
Yeah…
Guys wake up, one more month till X remake drops
Fr

Wake up, ya'll! They just dropped a six minute long video.
no fucking way
Woo I may use my voucher on this
Use the signifier class, you get it in erythia sea.
It’s very op if you spam resonant flag and aureole. If you have two characters on attacking classes, (preferably level 10 on the class) and two tanks you will be ok
The signifier hero, Fiona, is also really good
I think I just used ashera for the guaranteed 200 tp
And also the standard classes for the main party members
Make sure to have one healer for Agnus and one for Keves.
LMAO
for the ||telethia battle in makna forest|| should I use Melia in my party? I have it set up as Sharla, Shulk, and Riki right now
I usually do Shulk, Melia and Riki for that battle
I just went ahead and used the same one. It wasn't too hard as long as I remembered to use purge
I'm at my limit
guys what do i do after beating Z, i dont want to finish the game 😢
i didnt play the other ones, xc3 is my only one, i finished it yesterday and i LOVED ALL OF IT, I WISH I COULD FORGET EVERYTHING AND RESTART, IM SO SAD I DONT WANT IT TO END
average xenoblade experience
you can do the hero quests for ||melia an nia|| and get all the classes to max level
do the quests of them have any cool cutscenes
especially hero quests, they are voiced
these are fully voiced
you can also do land of challenges or whatever its called
where is that
isnt there anywhere i can also fight cool mobs or sth
are there any other things to do?
Have you beaten all the named monsters?
no, where to find them?
https://xenoblade.fandom.com/wiki/Unique_Monster_(XC3)
Scroll down to the list section.
ty
btw will i still see cutscenes in postgame?
im scared the game will feel so empty
be honest please, do u think there is another game this alive like xc3
the story is so full and the characters are so well made
i never seen characters like these in another games
they feel like real people
Well, xeno x is getting its remaster so maybe try that one out and see if you like it? You can still pre order
50€ 😔
Yeah
I feel that because I want it too but don't really have the money to spend lol
Facts
So I’ve never played a xenoblade before let me explain my outsiders perspective
There’s a dude
And he has a um… collection… of hot babes
And those babes are actually like his “swords”?
So it’s like Pokémon but you throw anime girls at people instead of cute monsters?
that's only the second one. the others are somewhat less anime
I see. I don’t have a problem with anime or associated tropes just trying to see how horribly wrong my idea of the series is
so you're not technically wrong per se... you just phrased it in a very... repulsive way to people who don't like anime tropes
not all of the blades are hot babes though. some are cool looking guys, one is a tiger
Oh. That’s cool. So like he collects them? Like they’re sort of like powerups, the babes and cool guys and tigers
Or is more like an rpg where you have like a party and they fight with you
Or a real time tactics or whatever you’d call that
When I see clips of those games I get kind of confused
so the game is real time and plays... sort of like an mmo with cooldowns and stuff
An mmo without the o
right
And they have like big worlds like really big worlds
Is there like a collection aspect to it like exploring and finding little stuff?
I say it as if it’s not like four games lol
the blades are like a gatcha system with no mtx
but none of the blade stuff is in the first game
or the third
well each game is actually pretty different
Oh. It sounds like most of what I see is the second one then
they all have a connected story, so play them in order
Okay
besides xenoblade X
X is a separate series
Super far future or past or something or a different place
But there’s only one
Isn’t there
yes, but there was a sequel hook
Oh neat
X is not connected to the main numbered series
But it’s still has like … xenoblades … presumably
What’s a xenoblade
Is that like some magic god blade that’s better than all the other blades
that's just the series title, there's not really something called "the xenoblade"
Oh hmm
it's called that bc the series likes swords
They should make something called the xenoblade just so they have an excuse to name the series that. Maybe Nintendo was just looking to be more alphabetically diverse with its game titles
You don’t see a lot of x representation
Not trolling btw just find it funny
I only troll Metroid fan servers
not every series needs a title drop
The IP wasn't originally intended to be called that. It was supposed to be Monado. But someone from Nintendo suggested to call it Xenoblade to give respect to the creator's previous games (Xenogears and Xenosaga)
Well, one of the definitions of 'xeno' is "strange", so in a sense, the Monado would be a xeno blade.
Xenogears actually had a mech called the Xenogears, apparently. I've never played it though
Yeah they do, they just call them Gears though. I've watched a playthrough of it. Really interesting game. XC isn't related to Xenogears or Xenosaga besides the fact that it's science fiction that centers around technology usually afaik
There are references and easter eggs sprinkled here and there (especially in Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed) but that's about it.
I wonder if it’s worth playing Xenoblade X after having played the trilogy since it’s an older title but some seem to like it more than the other ones. it’s just another big time sink
Switching around your party, weapons and gems might help.
Also leveling up your party some more.
CE Is for the Switch 2 version I'm sure
why would they delay the release of a Collector's Edition for a game until AFTER it releases, and already has a physical release
Because Switch 2 has not been revealed fully yet, and while games are backwards compatible, "Switch 2 enhanced edition" would not be out of the question either.
So let's imagine that's the case and there is XCXDE for Switch 1 and Switch 2. Some might be annoyed that the "worse version" gets the CE. For example when BotW released on Wii U and Switch, it was the Switch that got the collector's edition and not Wii U. Of course they released at the same time, but still.
The collector's edition is mostly physical goods >_> artbook, and the like
This has probably been asked a million times, but...
HOW DO I BEAT ||DISCIPLE LORITHIA??||

Does the Xenoblade X DE pre-order/early buy bonus include physical purchases?
Yes, as long as you pre-order physical you get the bonus. I think you also get it if you buy physical at launch but not sure about that. Apparently Best Buy has some actual physical collectibles included in the pre order and not just bonus items, but I'm not sure if you get the redeem code from Best Buy.
It’s also just an early adopter bonus, not a pre-order one
Physical is at launch, digital is until April 6th
hi, currently playing xenoblade 3, i am trying to get my party to unlock some heroes' classes, but for some reason they're not making any progress with them, i was unlocking classes just fine around the colony 4 part of the story, managed to unlock three heroes' classes for everyone fighting the enemies in the area, but after progressing the story a bit more and getting a couple more heroes, no one is making any progress unlocking their classes, no matter how many enemies i fight, why did it suddenly stop?
So what level is your party at?
And what lv of enemies are you fighting?
And is your hero in your party?
The hero needs to be in your party to unlock the class with your other party. But basically if you are overleveled when fighting certain enemies, it's going to take longer for your party to unlock the class
Think of it like normal exp to lv up. If you fight weaker enemies with where you are at in the game, you'll get low exp. But if you are fighting an enemy that's higher lv than you, then you'll get more exp
I hope this makes sense
If you have the dlc btw, there's something you can do that makes unlocking class much quicker. Do you have it ?
my party's level is around 30-31, and the enemies are around 25 or so
yes, the hero is in my party
i get it being slower, but not going up at all? over a 5-6 level difference? i was building progress towards hero class unlocks when grinding against level 15-16 enemies in my 20's... so it's weird that it stopped altogether when the level gaps have remained roughly the same
and yes, i have all the DLC
Yeaah 5 lvs will be hard to gain the class
I know it's not a lot but that makes a difference
Your best bet is really fighting tougher enemies
Or....since you have the DLC
Go to the combat arena that you can spend the reward currency to unlock class fasters by defeating challenges
Do some of them for like maybe up to 30 minutes
And it will unlock every class for every character you have
combat arena? you mean the nopon archsage's place that was in the previous two games? i've never really done that before cause i'm terrible at challenge stuff
Yeah that
It reaaallly helps with unlocking classes faster
i guess i can try it next time, but i highly doubt i'll be able to pull it off... feels like my party gets crushed anytime i fight something 5-10 levels higher than me
i miss the customizable difficulty xenoblade 2 had... i'm not a challenge seeker, i just enjoy the characters/worlds/stories
whatever you do to enjoy the game and you are having fun
I also just didn't the arena/challenges thing, but later on when I got more classes, it became harder for me to unlock them for every character
so I did the arena when I was in the last chapter
i think xenoblade 2 is still my favorite, i enjoyed the blades, the mercenary feature, and the humor... also i think that is the only game i've ever seen that portrayed a poly relationship, so it really stuck out to me
I...really really hate 2
the story and the characters, I just couldn't. And you can tell the game was really rushed
but if you like it, good
Honestly now that I think about it, NONE of the Xeno games were ever developed properly except maybe XC 1
Xenogears had development problems with crunch time which lead to them releasing 2 disks for 1 game, and the 2nd game being 75% pure cutscenes of hours
Xenosaga was originally designed to be 6 whole games, but due to the how the first game did, the publishers told them to make it a trilogy instead, meaning the original plan 6 game was lost
XC 2 was absolutely rushed with how the main Mono team was helping Nintendo make BOTW
and XC 3 & FR stories were incomplete and had story elements missing that lead to the director having to explain things in other source materials like in books or in interviews
i'm not sure how the first game was more properly developed than the others, they all seem pretty equally confusing, though still interesting
1 was developed intended for it to be a solo game
They didn't think they would do a whole trilogy after 1. So when Nintendo supported Mono, they were able to do whatever they wanted and had all the time they needed when making 1
ah, ok... guess that would've been less confusing, but still, the first game probably had my least favorite combat menu, i found it a bit messy and tough to use... though, combat definitely got more complicated with 2 and 3, even if the act of selecting attacks was easier, but 2 still had a lot of my favorite things, and the customizable difficulty removed the complications of combat
yeah 1's combat wasn't that interesting
but it just sucks
like I hope the next Mono game is properly developed
well i heard nintendo officially fully owns monolith now, right? so maybe that'll change things
yeah but they fully owned them since like XC 1 and that came out on the Wii
and after all this time, Mono is still struggling with finishing completely their own games
I hope now that Nintendo isn't asking their help doing a major Zelda title (like with BOTW and TotK), I hope this give Mono more time to work on their next game
it didn't sound like they fully owned them, i read they only recently acquired them 100%
This is what I found:
"By the beginning of April 2011, Namco Bandai had sold its remaining 400 shares in Monolith Soft to Nintendo, getting Nintendo 96% of the shares. By December 2024, Nintendo fully acquired 100% of Monolith Soft's shares."
By 96% they basically owned them still
either way, i hope the next game is a ways off... i have probably hundreds of hours left of 3 to finish, then i need to start xenoblade X cause i've never played that before, either
xenoblade 1 left me pretty burned out by the end, with the whole 400+ side quests... and xenoblade 2 was fun, but by the end of that i really needed a break, so i got started on 3 pretty late... only recently, actually
So bad news
I went to my local game store 'cause I didn't get a message from them about my pre-ordered copy as per usual
Turns out, the stock has been delayed.
So I guess I really have to double dip on XDE (physical+digital) just like the previous games.
Is this game worth buying?
Have you played any of the other games before?
I own 1-3
But have you played them?
Cause I literally also bought the entire trilogy before playing them 😆
I can't seem to find the early buyer in-game bonus. I thought the physical purchase is included on the promo.
Does Xenoblade Chronicles X, have an auto-battle mode like XC3 had?
I mean I will love Xenoblade 1-3
I got Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition and the pre-order bonus from GameStop!
i want to play X, but i really need to finish 3 first before throwing myself into another... still have it downloaded, though... speaking of 3, i just discovered this ferronis hulk in the desert, but i can't complete the quest to restore it cause the monsters won't attack me?
these enemies that hide in the sand won't jump out... and i can't target them while they hide, so this hulk is impossible to clear out
I’m not getting x because I seen those trailers and I already know it’s going to run abysmally
apperently its meant to run better for Switch 2
Im starting to feel like the 2025 Nintendo Switch titles were reaaaaallly designed for Switch 2
like I legit have zero clue how Metroid Prime 4 is going to run on the Switch
Yeah Metroid prime 4 on switch scared me too
I got no slip T_T
Assassin creed shadow seem awesome though
It's a good running game dafuq you mean. It ran on Wii u ffs
People had been acting like the Switch was inferior hardware to the wii u for nearly a decade now
Those same people probably think the 360 and PS3 is stronger than the switch
Xenoblade lover here
Does your copy have a paperwork or pamphlet with code on it? 'Cause mine doesn't.
Would anybody be down to make a squad in xenoblade x for the discord
Ugh…preorder was supposed to be here today. Delayed till Monday. Think I might get the digital edition also.
Nope. I think that's only if you preorder
it was a preorder bonus and it was useless
shit can get out of hand pretty quick with AoE weapons XD
Man, jumping really high in XDE is so addicting!
Never thought parkour in a Xenoblade game could actually be fun.
I hate those big lizards so much. They attack me on site all the time. They run really fast and won't give up until I ran like a mile.
Why does xenoblade 1 de got a worse metascore than the og but Xenoblade x de got a better metascore than the og
Critics be critics
Well y'all like Xenoblade X? I heard people shit talking the story though
The story is more of a background to the massive open world, rather than the driving force like in the trilogy.
So if you are looking to have similar emotional and impactful story like in the other games, you might be disappointed.
However, what the game lacks in story, it more than makes up for it in exploration and the feeling of discovery. To me anyway.
I see both critics and gamers hating on the story for x
I don't know why 1 DE got a worse score
but X DE has a TON of improvements its not just content additions
there were a lot of annoyances in the original that made people drop it before the good part (flying mechs)
it may have the best map being a huge open seamless world, but it also has the worst of the Xenoblade tropes like instant-death high level mons wandering around all over
that's the best part though
and trying to sneak past them for some wonderful loot
it helps that if you're paying attention to your party members' arts
the very first party member the game gives you has a stealth ability
and it costs TP, but she also learns an ability that gives you 1k TP in return for half HP, which you'll regenerate outside battle immediately anyways
I haven't started the definitive edition yet, but I remember the early combat was very slow even on xenoblade standards. But now you have the quick art quality of life so it should be better
that helps a lot but its a limited bar so you can't just spam it forever
but the way it uses the bar is it costs more energy/cooldown remaining
so if you're just using it to fill in a bit of CD so you can hit a voice soul or topple during a stagger its amazing
but when material/squad farming lower level monsters you can totally use it to spam abilities and clear easy fights way faster, so thats nice too
The plot’s science-fiction so you just retain whatever they tell you and store bits of information to understand the best you can.
Still playing XCX DE and from what I can see better this time around is the lore of the other games
Wait seriously?
Like this game is now tied to the trilogy?
I highly doubt that
why can't people let x be its own thing
Cause the devs called it Xenoblade Chronicles : (
I WANT this to be its own thing
I'm pretty sure even the devs intended this to be its own thing but then changed it and called it XC
So that's why x de have way better reviews than og
"people"
the devs themselves lmao
they named it Xenoblade Chronicles and nobody held a gun to their head and ordered them to change things to integrate it with the rest of the series (if they even did, most people haven't beaten the game why are we spoiling shit in here?)
all anyone asked is for them to just port the game to Switch
show me a direct connection in a spoiler
I haven't beaten the game either, I just find your outrage a little silly
"Why can't people let the game called Xenoblade Chronicles be its own thing and not part of the franchise called Xenoblade Chronicles"
like come on, man
I'm sure the only reason the original was entirely seperate is because at the time they didn't intend to make it a huge series
it's not numbered, so either it's a spinoff or its own thing.
The lack of a number does not mean something's not connected
the Nier games dont have numbers, new God of War games dont have numbers
Horizon doesnt have numbers
Xenoblade Chronicles does have numbers but then 2 isn't a sequel to 1
just let the devs do whatever they want
They named it X to signal that it's different
🤷♂️ and if its not different anymore then that was the same devs' decision
1-2-3 follow the same format. X follow something different
No they don't
that was like
the whole thing with 3
bringing the 2 different combat systems together
1-2-3 is story based. X is open world and exploration based
Sure but it still has a story and if the devs want to connect it in a multiverse then why is that a bad thing we should deny?
it doesn't reduce the game
Who said it's not connected in a multiverse?
The original one wasn't, the new one might be
The original one was very very definitely not connected
i didn't say it was a bad thing, i said it's not a thing until officially confirmed
You said "why can't people let x be its own thing"
Thought you were arguing that the games were connected
I haven't beaten X yet. I know it has a new epilogue and a lot of people expect it to combine the games because thats been the epilogues for 1-3
i'm saying the people who make all these theories are all going to be disappointed when it turns out it's not connected
Like X ain't connected to 1-3?
It sounds like you're expecting it not to be connected. Will you be disappointed if it is connected?
because it sounds like that would disappoint you
correct
I wouldn't care either way. But there's a reason they called it X and not 2
I could say "There's a reason they called it Xenoblade Chronicles and not a different name like Xenosaga or Xenogears"
same logic
Yes Xenoblade is own by Nintendo
this is correct
I'm just saying if they retcon it to be a shared universe then there's no reason to be upset about that
like yes obviously X at the time of its creation was not a shared thing
but they probably didn't expect to do a whole 4 game franchise
"The ‘Xeno’ name, by the way, really just exists to make it clear that these are Tetsuya Takahashi productions.”
i just would rather it be its own thing given that the theming of X and the numbered series is completely different. plus if they retcon it to be in a shared universe it would feel like they pulled a connection out of takahashi's ass
when do i get the skell?
Blame Takahashi
Yeah but that would require a retcon which would be more work for them to do and do the fans even want that?
The guy rewrote/added lore saying that ||Dmitri|| existed during Klaus’s time, and that the world government was working on ||Project Exodus||
those are the most useless fucking spoiler tags lmao
man I wonder what the government was working on
could be anything in X
then why'd you spoil tag any of it if it's not an X spoiler 🙂
Because 1. It’s not an X channel
i didn't like that either. besides, there was implied to be no rush to the project in Future Redeemed
- X is 10 years old
“Definitive Edition”
this argument is trash
Yes, let’s just tell the populace about an impending hostile alien invasion months before hand, I’m sure that’d go swimmingly
it costs less than 2 seconds to spoiler something and people play old stuff for the first time constantly
0 seconds. It was already spoiler tagged its just the tags were put in a pointless place
also at the time of ||the experiment|| there was no mention of a fucking ||alien war/invasion|| AND ||the saviourites were already fighting a civil war||
jesus christ what the hell happened here
It was pretty damn useful for me
....oh god damn it
So like what? ||This is basically Klaus world before Klaus screwed things up?||
...oh crap you are right
So basically ||XC X world = XC 2 world. And then XC 1 world is the other world Klaus created||
So now ||X is a prequel to 2||
Hey, guys. I have been enjoying Xenoblade Chronicles X DE and I'm 21 hours in, but then I got distracted because I also started Xenogears and that game, to my surprise, holds up to this day and it's hella good
Xenogears is peak storytelling
No kidding, although I've heard that it gets light on the gameplay to accommodate its gargantuan story on the later parts
It does. It will turn into a visual novel of some sort and then some battles here and there. But the story stays gripping.
I'm certainly excited that's for sure
Afterwards, I still have a chonky three part game XenoSaga
This is not fact. This is my opinion:
From what I understand in Xenoblade ||the world was originally Earth and then Klaus started up the Conduit and transformed it into two different worlds before it was destroyed by the Aliens. ||
At the end of the games (Xenoblade 1, Xenoblade 2, Xenoblade 3) ||both versions of Klaus and all the pieces of the Trinty processor are destroyed the Conduit needs a new medium to operate. ||
End of Xenoblade 1
||Shulk defeated Zanza and broke the connection creating a rift in dimensions causing the world of Shulk’s to want to combine with Rex’s and kind of like magnets they were opposing types and would destroy each other. ||
End of Xenoblade 2
||With the last of Klaus’s life he moved the Titans of Alrest into the dimensional rift and combined them with the fallen pieces of Bionis and Mechonis creating more land for everyone to live on. ||
End of Xenoblade 3
||Z is defeated and the worlds continue to fuse. The world that was in statis reverts back to the time when they were first fusing together and then fused together. ||
End of Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed
||Alpha(Ontos) is defeated and Shulk Rex and A step up to be the new 3 parts of the Trinity processor and Origin falls out of the Sky and sets the stage for Xenoblade 3.
After the credits staff roll it shows both worlds in space fusing and shining into
A new planet with a light flashing toward it.
I think it’s the White Whale crashing into Mira. So I believe Aionios 100% = Mira||
Last October, Monolith Soft released a special movie showing the Xeno games.

Seeing how KOS-MOS is with them all, I hope there will be a new game for Xenosaga for Nintendo soon.

『Future Awaits』 - ゼノブレイド...
For the last bit ||it's literally meant to be KOS-MOS, not the White Whale.||
i have a question about xenoblade 3's challenge battles... since it limits my level, i assume i'll be fighting enemies around the same level, so does that mean i can grind them to unlock classes and level up my classes? or will i not gain anything from the battles themselves? also can i grind noponstones from the same battle, or is it a one-time reward?
That radio talk was such a mess. We can only wait for clarification lol
I haven't played X DE for three days now due to sleep irregularities 😬
I should get back to playing tomorrow
ok no disrespect
im still a bit new to JRPG's
but people saying Xenogears having an amazing story, is this like, JRGP standards?
or are we talking about as a whole in general?
cause that's very different
Like DQ 11 is often considered or in the list of so many "Best JRPG's of all time" and yet, it has an extremely standard generic story. I don't think its a bad game! I do like DQ 11!
DQ11 does have a generic story
Don't base your opinion of jrpgs on dragon quest. Its whole appeal is going back to the roots of RPGs... Including the basic stories of old school NES stuff
yeah and that I had to learn that DQ is definetly its own thing and not every JRPG is like it
But like, many told me how JRPG's don't have like, that WOW factor in so many AAA story driven games.
and that the way it tells its story and shows character devoplment is just not the same
That's BS
That's why when I hear people saying Xenogears story is amazing. Like, ok, what are we talking about? JRPG standards? Or are we putting Xenogears next to the same level of story and characters as like Last of Us, Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War PS4, The Walking Dead (Telltale), Witcher 3, etc...
I've never played xenogears specifically...
But Xenoblade's story is good. Especially Xenoblade 3
im...im super mixed on 3
ok 1, yeah I can its solid. 2 no, I really dislike the story
3...I LOVE the characters, but I do not like the story
Why's that
like 3 does character moments VERY good!
each character has their own arc and devoplment and I LOVE THAT
the actual story itself, yeah no I couldn't like it
I know Mobius can seem a little "villain of the week"
Why's that
it just feels very convulated for no reason. Like, I had to rewatch the cutscenes so many times to understand what they were talking about cause I had no idea if what I was hearing was making sense.
Like when I heard that ||Moebius and Z were not actual people, but...the thoughts and fears of people who made Origin that were scared about the future, and that transformed those thoughts into evil beings and it created Z||..
like jesus christ
I had to re-read that 3 times (what I wrote) to make sure what I wrote was accurate btw cause I wasn't even sure if I was remembering it correctly
and even stuff like them just not explaining the ending until you do the post-game, like come on
||the whole thing with origin is that it's a device based on people's souls||
yeah and for me that just seems convoluted
Not to me, but okay
a machine that ||contains the whole planet's souls|| like damn
Sometimes you just gotta roll with the fact that it's a science fantasy game
I get that
But I guess stuff like Moebius/Z's origin, and I already talked about in the chat before but other stuff just not being explained at all, etc...
I just couldn't get into 3's story. Again, I LOVE the characters and their developments
What wasn't explained?
||Fiora is L7||
somehow
and ||N's sword being Malos/Logos||
and ||Reyn being the boat||
OH that. Yeah that was bs
RIGHT!??!
Wait wut. Never saw this
Seriously like XC 3, FR & the director gave us 5 different explanations of what L7 is and I have ZERO clue what it is
Hm... True, but is that really essential to know? ||All I need to know is it's a sword of origin metal||
the director apperently hinted that ||Reyn is one of the piece of Origin you get when you build the boat needed to get into Origin||
it makes a difference because the game says 1 thing and then the director says, "Oh yeah, its actually this, but I just didn't have time to do it in the game"
Okay, you've made your point
like im going by the logic that its ||origin metal like you said, which contains the souls of people from XC 1's world||
that makes sense to me
yeah
Ok wait, yeah Xenogears!
so if Xenogears story is like the same level of storytelling like Last of Us, Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War PS4, The Walking Dead (Telltale), Witcher 3, etc..
god damn, ok I need to put this game on my wishlist
IDK, I haven't played it

Though I heard disk 2 is basically events that the characters discuss... But if the game wasn't rushed you could have played through said events
yeah that's what I heard
Disk 2 is mostly cutscenes
cause maybe im just not a fan of how takahashi writes his story
like why is there a out of nowhere ||twist ending in every XC game that really aren't needed? I know im in the minority with this one, but I just don't like them and they REALLY aren't needed||
even XC X ||had a twist ending appearently that it was NOW resolved with the definitive edition haha||
Wait... what??? ||Reyn was the boat???||
SOMEHOW its tied to him yes being THAT
something from what XC fans and the director saying because ||Reyn touched the Monado, and basically, like how the director said Fiora turned into L7 because she was also a Monado, Reyn in the beginning of XC 1 touched the red Monado too, so SOMEHOW, that tied into Reyn transforming into a piece of Origin of the boat||
don't ask me how, and again, even the devs at Mono said stuff like, "We literally had no idea what were doing for XC 3, Takahashi told us nothing and we were super confused as well"
Do you think all xc games will get switch 2 patches
Yup and it will start with X because it has been leaked that there's a 60 fps setting within its files
Cool, I'll be playing xc3 on switch 2 then
just finished chapter 4 in XC3 and decided to backtrack to check on the colonies, starting with 9... the quest "reasons to evolve" is the worst quest i've done so far, and is genuinely making me hate kite even more than i already did
i love the XC games, but... man, they really need to work on making side quests less tedious, some of them really make me just want to stop playing
also, since the game just refuses to have rain occur, i keep having to pay tens of thousands of gold to this nopon to make it rain... guess it's a good thing gold is useless in these games, for the most part 😑
Kite as in the guy whole fell in love with Juniper at first sight?
Never liked him tbh lol
Do party members in Xc X use arts from there whole character sheet or do they need to be in their quick slots?
We better get xenoblade warriors or I will sue nintendo
good luck~!!
Thanks
sick!
Yeaah that quests sucks
Everything else was good
Bruh xcx is now 87 on metacritic
It was at like 88 or 89 before
I mean it's better than the 84 on Wii u
But 88 and 89 would have made it as good as xc3 and x1de
Now the question... when is the DLC that will include a jazz rendition of Sawano’s style for the battle theme
Its become a series tradition at this point
Saw this on Reddit and the timing was perfection. (XDE spoilers)
The culprits
Just like the dude that gives 60 on totk to drop the 97 to 96
It's usually the same reviewers believe it or not. Some journalists just don't vibe with Nintendo games. lol
I was s so happy xcx de was at 88 or 89. 87 😦
kinda late replying, but yeah, that's the guy i'm referring to... i think he might be my most hated character in the entire series
i still haven't been able to get back to playing XC3 cause of that side quest... most other characters, i get why they're upset... but every single moment kite is on-screen whining, i never know what his problem is... "you want to improve our colony? wah! you want to grow crops? wah! you want to make us self-sufficient? wah!" that's all i got from him
he alone burned me out on the game... and that quest in general was just tedious and annoying, even without him making it worse
and that scene with juniper... by the gods! it was ALMOST funny, with him immediately falling for them... but then he destroys the chance of likability by immediately accusing them of trying to kill him with a potato, then zeon trusts them, eats it, and they appreciate him liking it... and kite throws a fit!
sorry, the guy just drives me nuts 😑
Don't be sorry. A lot actually hated him. Lol
Defeated a enemy with 777 HP for an achievement
HA lucky 7, i love that they added stuff from the others in this DE
Is X even a good game especially on switch?
It was the last good Wii game for me
Do you guys think Monolith will update their library for Switch 2? I'm really surprised we haven't heard a word from them lately
Possibly? They at the very least have higher odds of doing so with X as it has hidden code line for 60FPS
does the xenoblade 2 expansion pass include Torna: The Golden Country story? why is the separate game $10 more expensive than the expansion pass?
It does. Seperate game doesn't need you to buy main game. It's standalone. For Expansion Pass you need to have the main game for it to work. Other than that, they're basically identical.
Flora heals an aching soul
So I hear Xenoblade X got the worst story??
I haven't played X yet but I'd it has somehow a worst story than 2, that's crazy
Also, I guess this sums about the XC community well:
2 is definitely not the best game
Xeno fans can be a bit confusing
They'll say 2 is the best but also the worst.
2 got the least acclaim
They'll say 3 is the shortest but also the longest
It even got worse reviews than og Xenoblade x
Not the definitive edition
The og on Wii u
the whole "shortest" thing is an in-joke
2 scored less than even the og X game on Wii u
It is?
I legit don't know cause again, the fans voted for 2 for being the best and worst game somehow
The fans are joking around
...oh god damn it seriously that's what they mean?
Don't worry I played 3 but like God damn it
yes
Damn, do people really hate 2 that much? It's my favorite game in the series.
It's still a good game but 3 and og is way better
I can respect that.
Yeah i hate it haha
I just don't get it. Like the combat gameplay, the music and the graphics are great. But everything else i have so many problems
But i do absolutely really like Torna so much
I'm not a big fan of the gacha or the sexualized designs, and the story isn't quite as strong as 1 or 3
But like, the combat system is peak and the music is amazing ye
And I like the concept of Blade Quests a lot
I'm still not sure if I like 2 or 3's combat better, 'cause they're both so perfect in their own ways
But I'd definitely go 3 > 1 > 2 overall
(That said, XC2 is a 9/10 game for me)
What this is a gacha game? Wtf
Is this offline?
I bought 40 games including this and havent touched it for 1 year 4 mnths.
It's an offline gacha
Can you play without gambling real money in it?
Like you wont get stuck to a progression like missions without being pay to win
That's how gacha works riyt?
you can't gamble real money in this one. pulls are not bought.
Well, technically, the DLC does give you some extra pulls, but ye
So it's a gacha game with in game currency the whole time?
Yes. You collect Core Crystals spread across the game to pull out Blades.
So 1, 3, and X isn't like that?
Nope
I can see why 2 is considered the worst
In XC1, you just have 7 possible party members that all unlock during the story
In XCX/3, you have a couple dozen characters you can recruit, although it works a bit differently between the two
I don't mind the core crystal system. I have probably hundreds of cores in my inventory, but the only time I pulled blades was when I needed blades during the story. I'm not pulling blades just for the hell of it.
Why do people make such a big deal over it?
people think "common blade = bad" when common blades can actually be loads better than rares. they can have good skills that are exclusive to commons too!
Yeah, some ppl don’t like the gatcha system
I don’t mind it, but it does get annoying sometimes when you can’t open a treasure chest or something without a certain number of certain blade skills.
Am I even playing the same game these peeps are playing?
Finished chapter 11 of X and there I still a lock on the last character, will they be unlocked through story progression?
Yes
Chapter 13 Act 2 is so bad, you can literally cut out at least half of it and end up with something far better…
Is that one of the new stuff or is it og?
The new stuff
The combat is really fun
You guys think the Xenoblade games are gonna get free Switch 2 updates?
Probably not free but I hope there’s a companion app for Xenoblade too.
A companion app for Blade Quests and Hero Quests would be amazing
I recently got in to 3DS "gaming" so I want to hear your thoughts about Xenoblade Chronicles 3D
objectively the worst way to play it
just play the Switch version
Or the wii
nah Switch version, the QoL improvements and added skill levels are needed
Playing the best version is boring
The only good thing about 3DS version is the music player. Lol
And that's it portable
Honestly the 3ds version was literally the best it could have possibly be done with the 3ds hardware
Xenoblade X Definitive will get a Switch 2 update or even better, a version! Fingers crossed
just picked this up
nice
i havent played X Definitive Edition because I am waiting for a big switch 2 update for it
Aw she's so cute
Tatsu getting struck by lightning brings me joy.
kill it with fire
Xenoblade Chronicles finally clicked for me. It took too many years, but I'm now enjoying the heck out of playing XBC:DE
Noice
By the time you'll be dead, I saw a video with proof the loading times are way shorter and framerate is way more consistent
@red belfry can you link me the video?
Does anybody play Xenoblade
Idk, I want to
Bro play no man's sky instead
Waste your time farming
You play No Man's Sky and I'll play Xenoblade
Does anyone else not like Xenoblade 1's ending? The ending really ruins the entire game's story for me with how the game shows us ||how we can live a world without gods and how they are not perfect like humans are, and yet, it ends it by revealing that Zanza and Meyneth were humans the entire time||
There are so many good stories that shows how ||gods and deities are not perfect like humans|| like in Lucifer, The Good Place, Clash of the Titans, etc...but this decided to the opposite and I feel like that it just ruins it. Also ||Alvis is a computer god wtf||
||Zanza and Meyneth were humans... in their past lives. They were reborn as divine beings, with no memory of their past lives as humans. As for Alvis... it'll make more sense when you get to Xenoblade 2.||
I get that, and that's my issue. It ruins it the whole idea of the game telling us how ||mortals can live a life without Gods and that Gods are no better than humans, only for them to reveal at the very end, that these "Gods" were human from the start.||
The message is no longer how these beings throughout history, we viewed them as perfect and divine, but are actually like us. Instead the game ends that, its just ||always been human's fault||. What kind of optimistic message is that?
and as for ||Alvis, I just find the whole idea of who is he dumb. A computer being capable of creating an entire world, that's just ridiculous for me and I cannot take it seriously.||
||The idea isn't about gods being no better than humans, it's about people shaping their destinies. Changing the future, if you will.
Zanza wanted to shape everyone's future, even when he was a human. The entire reason Shulk declined the power of a god, and even wished for a world with no gods, is so that everyone could have the power to make their own decisions and shape their own futures.
Zanza was what was standing in the way of that. He had divine powers, and was using those divine powers to control everything. He even tries to reset the world during the final battle to make it so that no being would be conscious. Quite literally taking away the ability to make decisions at all.
Meyneth shared the same mindset as Shulk and the rest of the party. She also wanted people to have the power to change the future. Zanza was the only one who wanted to control everything. This dynamic mirrors the events of the experiment that caused everything. Klaus deciding to go forward with the experiment, despite what could happen and what did happen, and Galea (Meyneth) trying to stop him from taking control of everything.
The phrase "Change the Future" is practically beaten into the player throughout the story. Whether through Shulk's visions or through everyone pitching in to stop the one thing stopping the future entirely, it's everywhere. It's what the entire game hinges off of.||
||As for Alvis, again, Xenoblade 2 provides a lot of context.||

(it's not mine, just to clarify)
Woah serious discussions
That part I understand but it doesn't change that the game repeatedly showed and told us straight up ||how the gods are not perfect like humans. Meyneth last lines and when she was fighting Zanza was her showing how Gods and mortals are like the same and Zanza thinking that was wrong. Her final line I remember she says how mortals could live in a world without gods. The ending then revealing that they were humans, ruins it and goes against what she said and the message||
?
I like the ending ngl
Dawg i think you read too much percy jackson
Is he still a ||computer ai||?
But some parts kinda spoil the rest of the series, namely ||Alviz and his role in all this||
Thats accurate because I do actually like Percy Jackson
But what's the issue with that?
I think he's just highly intrigued by the ending, which is good I suppose
You gotta get on 2 next
I really dont want to honestly after this
2 got two games weirdly enough
You definitely think too much about it
About what?
The term god as a definution has been taken apart like hell in fiction either way
One of those people that purs a premium in writing in their games, which is definitely a fine approach
Thwy were humans ok so what
They made that new world and then got killed
Because theyre stooped
I do like the divine and mystical elements in fantasy
Being told that ||god in this game was a computer||, I just can't take it seriously
Because as i said the definition got altered
Listen, man, if you want good writing you won't really find it in games, at least not as often as TV, books, and movies
In xenoblade its whoever made the new earth
