I recently decided to rush to get the 6th builder faster. I had a decent BH7 base with most of the defenses upgraded to level 7. However, I struggle a lot with getting a decent amount of elixir per attack, and I always get 3-starred by overleveled opponents. If I drop trophies, will I face easier opponents when they attack my base? And at what trophies should I drop?

Yes, from my experience the game only make you face to a player with the same trophy range

around 2800 there's a steep increase in opponents strength (i.e. maxed bh8s or stronger are suddenly all over the place) so you want to stay below for the most part

you'll also run into a lot more people giving away free wins because they're just surrender farming elixir

outpost is literally useless, keep it at level 1 (did you mean builder hall?)

always keep a builder on the shortest hero upgrade (battle machine for at least a month)

racks stay at 6 because bbd spam is about as much as you need

lab you up along the way and eventually get to 9 for lv18 bbd because it doesn't need that many levels (and quantity beats quality anyway)

otherwise just up whatever's required alongside rushing to bh9 and you can try to balance gold/elix spend but you'll be pouring a shitton of gold into walls anyway because you need 80m elix for heros

If you lose trophies, you basically will get faced by more weaker enemies which would reward you more elixir and trophies as exchange.

You can also buy builder elixir in the trader shop, and complete your daily star bonus.

Also make sure to upgrade your collector.

Giants and archers are very good when the base is very enclosed. But if it has open spots, you can go with barbarian and giants

Just make sure to be surgical with it.

He is good in compact bases. Use giant to tank him as he is very squishy. But, I would say that baby dragon and pekka are better. Even cannon carts are better than electrofire wizard as long as you are good in the placement of cannon cart.

Rush to bh10 if possible and only upgrade nessesary troops like baby dragon, giant, bomber, pekka etc. Don't waste on night witch, dropship and minion.

Time is time, you still need to upgrade the hero regardless, however the non rushed players will farm more elixir and get there faster
