You’re right indeed, just looked up the models from that battle and it does look like Daniel’s in terms of scheme, but his model had some embroidery on the cloth.

Oh I forgot something. Got this for free at the workshop. We collectively used it in the workshop and I got to take home what was left (2/3th of the pot)

Fun but 3 hours was not enough to really get hands on in dept in the material. So it was mostly him telling stuff and answering questions.

This was my playdough practice waves with cresting foam. Imagine it cast in resin 😉 and not spongebob yellow.

Helped to get hints here and there to improve and pick his brain. Also saw him at the competition hall later while I looked at his stuff. He recognised me and he let me pick his brain a bit more with his actual work next to us to reference.

But it a lot of fun to break up the shopping with a workshop. Might do a foam terrain one next year. Looked like fun.

I agree. It felt more like a lecture then workshop 2/3th of the time. Think his whole proces has to many things that take to long/can't be done at SMC, leaving huge parts explanation only.

Hence me thinking about the foam one next year. That was full on hands on and completely doable on the spot. And only 40 euro.

If I ever would win a tank or plane like that I would probably convert it and paint it like a tankgirl tank or plane. And/or paint it in silly colors/freehand just to get a rise out of the historical accurate people hahaha.
