You should see two buttons when you click the Premium button: one is to subscribe, and the other is for the 14-day trial.

It will just stop once the 14 days have passed without charging you since it does not require your payment method to start.

For the music to play, a session will need to be running. That means someone will need to be present & inside the Rythm activity. You can however use Rythm for up to 72 hours straight. Once that cap is hit a session will stop, but you can simply restart the session if you wish to keep listening.

In terms of this, that's because Rythm now runs on their own licensed database of music, so it can take awhile to get all the songs you want (or don't want)
It was a must to ensure Rythm doesn't receive another Cease & Desist letter again from YouTube, or a literal suing letter

Rythm went with activity instead of bot mostly to enhance the music quality, but also a breakthrough from most other bots and not accidentally pissing off the big corps for someone playing links again
No more sounds cutting off every now and then due to latency, or radio-like music quality

I guess I know why it's happening, I might be wrong. When we join a new Rythm session sometimes by default it shows muted. The volume controller can be seen on desktop UI of Rythm but not on mobile UI. So, desktop users can easily unmute them while mobile users can't. That's why I guess this problem rises in mobile only.

Ah one more problem, can't login/sign up using discord on Rythm app.
