It's been five months without a single iota of news, or explanation. It's been a few months since Feeder Frenzy, and now we have returned to Feeder desert. Please blue names, give us proof of life

well it's been about 11 months, just wondering if we can get any updates (even if the update is confirmation that they are tabled for the time being)?

The additions of gemstones and klocks have definitely helped the treasure system. But it’s still a grind towards the end of the month when I’m clearing out 100 boxes from the pool worth like 1.5k each with zero armaments or enhancives. Hope we get these new feeders soon!

It's still coming, there will just be updates to it. I thought I did an update to this in another thread/post not too long ago, but I don't remember!

The big change is going to be the frequency. We made some updates to the general treasure system with gemstones and locks/keys to take some of the heavy lifting off the need for GM-created items. So rare and epic are going to be at roughly the same output as legendary, but still some much more potent loot that feels a lot better than the current feeder loot. And they'll come in better looking boxes with global messaging.

This was found today at noon on Shattered in a RARE feeder:

In the cocobolo chest:

You analyze the Palestra Blade miniature and sense that the item is flagged as Alteration Fodder.

The creator has also provided the following information:
This miniature is a siegery toy.  It is a sorcerer.
This miniature has custom attack messaging.


This miniature has custom miss messaging.


This miniature has custom idle messaging.


This miniature has custom death messaging.


You get no sense of whether or not the miniature may be further lightened.

it's not an Announcement feed that's for sure.

I was in SOS when the Sailor's Grief message came across for me, and I was in the equivalent of WL when the SOS epic treasure was found.

No clue if they've changed the scope of how gamewide the messaging is for Shattered vs Prime. Don't know if it's changeable dynamically like that or not per instance.

At this point I don't even know if I believe the feeders are turned on in Prime. Has anyone at any point seen messaging like that in Prime? For rare/epic, we know Legendary is working

Grhim found an epic feeder drop on October 9, so yes it is enabled.

and looks like people have posted 2x about rare treasure being found when I search for it on discord here. Once on 10/13/2025 (found at EG) and another on 7/31/2025 in an unknown area.

those were both the feeders seeded with event entries for DR/EG. so it’s not so much the system isn’t working, it’s seemingly more like it is and just for whatever reason we aren’t getting anything put in it aside from 50 count books once a quarter.

Just catching up on this. I'm wondering if the global messaging isn't always going out. We had 4 Duskruin booklets go out, 4 Ebon Gate keys go out, several S-tier siege minis, and a 3x a day spell item. I'll need to poke at it.

Given a few responses we received to feedback, I likely won't include event entries in there once they're all out (Shattered I believe hasn't found them all yet). It seems those finding them don't feel they are worthy of being a rare or epic feeder item.

The epic and rare feeder has the same rate at the Legendary feeder, but I did (on accident) fire out 2 booklets and 2 keys out immediately after loading them because I tried to make sure they were on top to go out next. But it sent them out to the next available box that happened instead.

That's also why there were 4 of each vs 2. I added more due to my mistake.

ok! I knew about the books (and I believe we saw the messaging for those), but hadn't heard anything otherwise -- but if you see things going out, then all is well. Thanks for checking.

it was a 250ct DR booklet, as the main prize inside

In the platinum box:
Magic Items [1]: a crystal amulet
Gems [3]: an uncut diamond, a pink rhodochrosite stone, a bright chrysoberyl gem

Special [2]: some silver coins, a sanguine stamped voucher booklet

Thanks for the heads up, @atomic steppe. I'll have to see why it's not hitting all the time. Looks like the box took a special description, and the person finding it should see the messaging at least.

Feeder seems to be working, so we think we might have found the culprit to why box loot was low, feeder messaging was being skipped in Prime, and there was a few days where it seemed normal without us doing anything.

But because it did seem to fix itself without us doing anything, we are capturing data specific to this for a week to make sure it's not something else entirely.

Right now, it looks like it was a simple GM mistake that caused a hiccup with high level loot. It's why stuff was going out, but it wasn't at the volume everyone expected. The mistake was that someone fed something to the rare feeder forgetting we had this whole feeder revamp. Prior to the feeder revamp, rare was called feeder 4, which had decent stuff in from yesteryear's standards, like long descriptions or 4x gear. Not the best these days. They realized at some point that they misfed the item, fixed their mistake, and put that item into the proper uncommon feeder (formerly known as feeder 3). The problem is, the rare feeder was left in a state to give out that item and it was missing. This can never happen normally, so there was no protection for it. We updated the code to have protection moving forward.

just a funny! The feeder expecting a thing and no thing to be had. I always get a kick on how things break
