Yes, but for boot drives i would still highly encourage you to find TLC (Triple Layered Cell) SSD with built in DRAM for the controller. They last a lot longer in high read and write situation of a C: drive.

256GB should do but 480-512GB is so easy to find at good price.

I think an external hard drive makes sense. Store schoolwork and the games that don't really need SSD speeds on it. The laptop's internal drive appears to be an SSD, so you'll still be able to put the games that benefit from it on there, and you won't have to change or reinstall by keeping what you already have intact.

Light strips don't really have load/idle cycles the same way, and I don't think protections like UVP work the same either

A lot of LED strips will take anything from 5v to 20v and appear fine, but with PCs, sometimes an 11.8v reading instead of 12.2v can cause instability

These are from old-ish threads (5+ years)

most games can't take advantage of hyperthreading well, some even suffer for it, so high-end i5's are usually recommended for purpose-built high-end gaming rigs over i7's.

Performance-wise, the main difference is that Ryzen has more cores, while Intel has better performance per core. This means that in general, Intel will perform a bit better in games, while Ryzen will perform better when multitasking (like streaming while gaming) or doing multithreaded workloads.
