Should i get onto @frank agate right now?
:exclamation:To contact the Moderators, please send me a Direct Message. Mentioning me does not alert the moderators.:exclamation:

Then don't watch it
oh cool
im watching a time travel anime that's actually 90% scientific accurate
i wonder how it sexualize children

and im watching an anime where giant humanoid creatures eat humans
it's not a hentai character
so
Your problem is with the anime itself, not the creator?
Ah yes, the idiot cycle.
This man is literally pulling a twitter
- Make hot takes
- Make shit rebuttal
- Personally attack when youre out of them.
- Has no evidence to back up his claims
so apparently i sexualize/lewd 2d characters by watching an animation... ok?
š³
haters
my 3080 cant run roblox is that bad
yes
really bad
No, its normal. You need the rest of your system to run roblox as well.
tru
ok thanks
is roblox running with ray tracing on?
i run roblox in 5 virtual machines
there's actually a roblox game that's got great shading/texture
forgot the name of it
but that thing literally looks ray traced
I'm still salty Nvidia didn't enable SR-IOV for RTX 30 series
lul
I reckon it melts pc's yeah?
Definitelynotphantomforces

3090 is big dick energy i want one
it's not
That you personally cant keep arguing your argument and resort to harassment?
Wow, banned

That fucktard
Looks like java's garbage collection does have a use after all
typical twitter normie
what can i say
i dont like anime but i wont attack someone for watching it
i think its bizzare but if you watch it and enjoy it you do you
Actually, back on topic
what was the topic again lul
I just realized how lucrative M1 would be in servicing part
I heard if you change your java's font to comic sans it's much better
Maybe its not too bad a language but I hate my course
Java is a good starter pokemon
But imo better off to jump to other language soon.
"yOu cAn'T cALL aN AdMiN beCaUSe I dISaGrEe wITh yOu" you can call an admin for baselessly calling you a pedophile, being an asshole, and misusing the channel though š
and I'm tired of nested for loops to draw stupid ascii art when it would take 2 seconds to just load up the .svg image
Like C++, phyton
"We can do real graphics, its just too complex for this course"
proceeds to make us use fast inverse square root in a for loop
I did it, only took 300 lines
also saying those things without any prove/evidence/reasoning what so ever
anyways when will among us rtx come out
there is one already
someone made a rendered version using unreal engine
looks amazing and actually functions
Felt sad honestly, i thought we were going to do an actual good OS war.
But nope, just gotta go for the shitshow route.

Watch how I Made Among Us in Unreal Engine 4 with INSANE graphics.

Any OS war that becomes "Linux is awful" isn't going to go anywhere, sadly
lul
gotta download it!!!!
the thing is
you might not have any people that'll be able to play it with you
lol
the moment he said that I immediately disregarded everything he said
what are the system requirements
I mean, ive started it in where he puts gaming perf over everything
Seeing as its Unreal, its probably VK_KHR_Ray or DX12U, so sadly you'll need a Pascal or later Nvidia GPU or RX 6XXX @jovial tide
It's really a shame too because I love os discussions as someone that's used both
freaking epic!!!!!
Like legit, this man is probably the kind that would buy 3DFX cards
which is a complete scam imo, since raytracing is nothing new and loads of cards are capable of it below realtime speeds, even if it would only be useful for getting a screenshot
I wanna use both but money
Rn im running windows 10 and manjaro in a VM.
Why havenāt we got the bot games in this server.
I don't use desktop linux distros enough, I wish I didn't need software that's only available on Windows and Android so often
the way the kfc console deals with its heat exhaust is actually pretty amazing
JuSt UsE eMuLaToR cOoKiE

I know my sudo apt get, my rm -rf, and the bare minimum in Puppy, Manjaro, and all of the *buntus
On the same boat with arch, successfully installed it but that's about all I've done with it
I want deeper knowledge! I want to go beyond enabling my wifi adapter and using whatever they decide to name the firefox fork in today's distro!
The in's and out's, teach me them all!
i want one
Even though it's a pain it really is fun figuring out how all this stuff works
Like right now I'm trying to figure how to add myself to the sudoers file on ios
I wanted to with Android and then I remembered its apparently a crime to have admin rights on mobile OSes
Why can I use sudo or run things as admin all I like on a desktop OS install but need to rely on third parties to do the same for mobile OSes?
I thought all them android fanboys say that "freedom" was one of the main selling points of android?
the irony
Freedom to use your regular user permissions to their fullest
even more ironic now that Google is removing that
whoa really?
I predict by 2026, stock ios is going to give users more freedom than rooted Android
Android 8-10 has been nothing but more backdoors for google, customization being removed, and them pushing for SafetyNet
Android 11 kills off GOOD filesystem access
Now we just need Android 12 or 13 to remove custom keyboards, launchers, wallpapers, VPN support, and the ability to sideload apps.
Once all of those are gone, Tasker is banned, and Termux is made unusable, boom
Sideload app being out the window is an easy way to kill off development.
Its massively helpful for indie android devs to just use the phone in their pocket as a test bed.
Android 11 has already killed off development, the scoped storage solution is so poorly implemented that many app developers have just decided to give up making Android versions entirely
Now granted i havent tried A11 (only got up to A10)
All over the play store in the app descriptions: "We're sorry to announce that this app will not be updated to support Android 11."
from what I'm reading scoped storage makes sense and is safter
Oh btw, i never heard ya opinion on Xe HPG. @brave field
It does have advantages, yes
so should i just switch to ios
I know its i n t e l but i do have hope that they can contend at mid-high end.
Especially for those who continue to sideload ransomware, or for apps that like to dump their files in random places
Switching is up to ya frankly.
Weight your options.
but it hurts how things have just always been for Android, and the user has no control over any of it, and its forced on developers
any of those people who claimed "freedom" and weren't just speaking custom launchers are going to suffer
and the things it does to 7zip clone apps, or media player apps, or ftp server apps...
@kindred temple I need to look into it and research before I can say anything
https://www.pcgamer.com/intel-is-firing-out-pre-production-versions-of-its-gaming-graphics-card-dg2/
https://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/joao-silva/intel-xe-hpg-series-gaming-gpu-specifications-begin-to-leak/
then have some sauce. @brave field
Really my main problem with the changes is that its forced
I get that feeling, but at the same time it's this mentality that could get you stuck in the "backwards comptabitility rabbit hole"
less of a rabbit hole, and more of a blackhole, frankly.
Not making it forced helps everyone but the guy who has to compile multiple builds
See: X86.
See also: Windows
But i do think that Google needs to provide more sauce and time on app transition
like, more source than 1. fucking. article.
If every phone had an unlocked bootloader, and Google wasn't telling McDonalds to use SafetyNet to stop SpidermanAndroidOSHack users from getting their cheeseburger, I wouldn't care
Split the thing, sell the Android power users want to the FOSS community, and continue to work on the main Android branch
Its a major change, being done over one version update, and carriers and manufacturers both are going to shoddily and randomly send these updates to users before even some developers get a chance to get used to the changes, and people who don't like the changes have no options at all
I guess a crude solution is to never update
Well if you're on Android 8-10, not an option
Google removed the ability to block updates completely
If you're lucky, your phone's manu has made a workaround that lets you just never check for them
Damn didn't think google would pull a microsoft
I mean even iphones have had that feature for years now
If your manu and carrier both approve an update(and Google should really work on fixing Android's fragmentation before adding new features like scoped storage), you're going to get it
laughs in LG user, I'll be safe until 2024
@kindred temple If this thing is really going up against the RX 6800, AMD might be in trouble
And i do believe it will.
The man who's behind this shit is basically the man who brought polaris
Intel has an automatic lead in OpenGL performance, all types of compute, all video encoding and decoding, all they have to do is match it in raster and be $30 cheaper
And XE Max is bang on good imo
@brave field it's time to go
Its basically MX150 without the nvidia driver bloat.
I like what I'm reading
more competitors in anything is good
and Intel doesn't slack off when they have good and active competition
Also, this means an all intel pc is finally possible
Intel SSD, Intel CPU, Intel Cooler (and a good one too), Intel GPU, Intel NIC with Intel Wifi card
Just need to use an OS like Puppy that can run entirely in CPU cache and you're good
unless Intel starts up their own memory fa- nah
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/optane-dc-persistent-memory.html

Now granted that thing is far cry from your average redditor's tridentZ
I want Intel to get in on that DRAM business too, so they can be a 7th company that gets fined .1% of their extra profits for price fixing every 3-4 years
"Persistent memory"
yeah that's just fast storage lol
DIMM shape, but their own chips and not DRAM at all, ah
They make Cryocooler for a reason

Imma bet alder wouldnt need it, i hope.
Thermaltake to the rescue
That 11700k review where it uses 300W and loses to the 10700k in games... surely this is a joke? That would be a huge letdown considering how badly Ryzen 5000's stock and price issues are.
I love how every intel hardlines would pin it down to Cutress focusing on consumption at AVX-512
So what? Zen did better at a lower AVX level
Yeah, completely fair to focus on if the CPU does it
man that's sad though
The AVX performance is great but everything else is just sad
I guess it makes sense for Intel's tick/tock model but usually the "tock" still includes a 1-3% IPC and clockspeed improvement, and doesn't use 300W
i called it that rocket lake would be a joke
Many of those AVX workloads in that review have GPU-accelerated alternatives too
seems redundant
so much for $200 11400f that competes with 5600x
ryzen will still be on top probably until alder lake
and there supposably will be a 5600 non x that will fill in the 200 dollar price range
yeah amd might not release any low end skus
geez the people at reddit do be crazy
I Believe whoever made this is using 4 3090 cards with AMD 5950x, MSI X570 Godlike to do molecular dynamics simulations
not sure
Like i get getting multiple cards for anything, really. Except when you basically dont use it at all.
Also read: fully only wanna scalp.
I mean this isn't used for mining, so I am not exactly mad
what kind of 3090s are those? never seen any that look like that
Yeah
with waterblocks
Looks like one of those EK's early blocks.
OFC you need blocks for everything
oh crap i didnt realise they were water cooled. just noticed the tubes on the side of the bottom one
my bad
It's fine
ive never seen blocks with the io there
Wait is that a custom loop mining rig
no
tmw u only have 8gb vram
it probably wouldn't survive being mined on
even with the loops
here is the reddit post in question
The founders cards were basically made to be watercooled imo
When i can afford it im putting my 3080 and 10700k in a custom loop
I mean I rather take people using cards for research than mining
my cheap $2000 has no custon sleeves

So is that a company computer or did this dude have a chunky savings lmao
I need sleeved cables lol
He was mentioning "we" in the comments, so I guess some organisation's PC
Makes sense
I am looking at the comments, seems this guy runs AI sims on "Desmond" something program
power cable is hard to see but its ugly
I assume it's a company
ngl I would just place my cables in the middle of the GPU so it doesn't steal space of the fan
just my opinion, then again I kinda dislike the fan design for FE models
@tall dome saw that post
@light sinew wait, how much computing power do i need for stonks?
Half the comments are accusing the guy and his 4 cards for causing a global shortage
lol
Like idk why does most IDX systems ive found is like running full fat quadro.
Your normal toxic reddit g*mer
A chromebook
You donāt need any for stocks I could use a monitor from 2008 and a duel core
The application I use takes up 700-1gb of ram at most
Will among us run on a chromebook tho
I see
I built my rig for among us
My bet would be yes, is among us that intensive because it looks low maintenance to run
Need that 24/7 support hotline?
Because they are rich, and use their computer for flight simulator and nasa simulations when they finish their trading live streams
why not
You need 48 gb of ram for among us
Hmmm
A guy tried justifying a 3090 to me with modded minecraft
I mean 3090 is cool and all but its useless for gaming
Is day trading then mining at night a fair way to make cash?
@light sinew
Like, mining cryptos. Obviously.
Mining can only generate a āgoodāamount of cash if you are planning on making your power bill the equivalent to a basement weed farm
Mining you need 3060tis
And intraday trading like buying and selling with an algo or signals requires some good experience in all markets so it is good to find a brokerage that offers paper trading
Everything >1070 is profitable to mine on right now
Or even lets you go back in time in a simulation
I chose not to mine on my pc
I mine a small bit but investing $15 or so into altcoins is more profitable when your hardware isn't particularly great
Even higher if you only look at btc and eth, yeah
Best to research a coin, the team behind it, their goals, etc
Good to choose PoS ones over PoW too so no amount of mining or difficulty spike can mess with things
I sold a dead rx 580 for 200 and in still surprised
Desperate to play games
honestly I should sell my 1660Ti
Sell your cards right noe
probably sell for more than $220 that I bought it from
Now is the time
yeah except I am not waiting 6 months for a new gpu without another one
Fun fact: ETH is going for PoS next year.
And 3060 mine ban is only on... ETH.

Yeah
ETH was supposed to go PoS last year
Just gotta hope that the other coins would go PoS or just pull a BTC
The driver limit doesn't do anything anyways
It's get modded
don't worry
No reason to mod the 3060 when it mines just fine right now
FIRO, MWC, octopus algo, Vertcoin
I still don't understand making new cards when the current lineup from September hasn't been met

Mining smaller coins nets you more cash anyways, they're more volatile and price increases are much larger when you hold them vs expensive coins like eth
Making new cards makes sense
Most of the production is still likely going to go to the higher end cards just because of higher profit margin, but having more SKUs brings interest from more people in different budget ranges
I'm also doubtful, 3090 is too close
Might just be a VRAM bump for all those people who swear they need 20gb for their 720p gaming
This 3080 pumps out all the frames i need in csgo i cant really complain
@kindred temple PoS or not, I think ETH is going to suffer a lot soon
There's a good 4 coins that do everything better
I mean REALLY suffer
I honestly think 10GB of GDDR6X is enough for 3-4 years
It's transfer fees are so stupidly high...
There are coins barely worth $1 that are better
High volume, low fees, stable proce
I don't know everyone's opinions on ASIC-resistant PoW coins, but if you're against ETH's growth, mine a bit and convert to one of its competitors, and stake that
ETH's creators seem to have lost their vision. Its not being used for its main scientific research projects, nor is it hard to track, nor is it currently working towards curing diseases. If any of these are happening, why are they not saying so? We at least know BTC is actually helping people who lost their jobs with COVID.
Meanwhile Cardano is paying for banks in poorer areas of Africa
has cardano started their goguen phase yet?
Should be this month
How can install mods without getting banned?
@jovial tide mods for what?
Is this about GTA?
Yes
This is a non-GTA channel, head to #gta-storymode and check the channel description for a modding server
That server likely has all the answers
Thank you
The MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI ATX LGA1200 Motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but the Corsair CXM 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply does not. This connector is used to supply additional 12V current to the motherboard. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it.
is this fine or is this a problem
Its exactly as stated, you can use it with just the 8pin
1 hour later
Man I wish I could get an MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI ATX LGA1200 Motherboard
me too, especially for free
My uncle recently just gave me a 2013 macbook air since he is upgrading his home office, and I'm wondering what I should do with it. My current laptop has a mobile intel core i3 4th gen with 12gb ram and a 240gb ssd, while this macbook has a mobile intel core i7 4th gen with 8gb ram and a 500gb ssd, so it would definitely be an upgrade compared to my current laptop. I'm wondering if I should sell it and attempt to locate a laptop with better specs or if I should keep it and install windows on it (or linux if steam remote play is supported). What do you all think I should do?
I mainly use my current laptop for school, no graphical applications. Sometimes I watch videos via amazon prime or plex, and use Steam's remote play feature.
I did forget to mention, my current laptop only has a wireless N adapter, but has a 10/100 mbps ethernet adapter, while the macbook has a wireless AC adapter but no ethernet.
I would keep both really, who knows when you'll need the other
I also see that Windows is superior to MacOS, so I would uninstall it and get windows too.
That was a given for me, because I really dislike macos from a UI standpoint (very preference based, I know). However, I would have to source a windows key if I want to download windows, and linux is open source.
Do you know if steam remote play would work on linux?
Remote play works on Linux
If anyone is pushing for Linux compatibility with anything streaming or game related, Valve is it
I think it was yesterday or the day before they pushed an update that make it work even with AMD's proprietary driver nobody uses on Linux AND Nvidia's poorly-supported ones
macbook air + your favorite linux distro + yoink ram and storage from the old one if you have the slots ā
As I kid, I would look at Macs hoping to get one one day, though I never knew they had their own system, I just knew that it looks sick lmao
I'm just happy I have family who tends to give their old stuff to me xD.
you don't even need a key if you know look in the right places
but honestly if this is what you use your computer for, then as a student myself (and someone who's recently made the switch to macos) I think your macbook is perfectly suited for the task
I guess I could learn the OS, but I've used windows since 1998 and it would be a difficult transition for me.
Kinda says something about me when I'm willing to risk bricking a machine I just got only to change the way I open programs
her last name broke iCloud
smh
apple no test against the Big List of Naughty Strings
literally one of the first lines
Sir Tim Cook, need this? https://github.com/minimaxir/big-list-of-naughty-strings/blob/master/blns.txt
windows is the worst operating system but most software is made for it so
wouldn't say its the worst but I would love to see where things would be free and open-source OSes were the norm
or, even just OSes where you both don't have to opt-out of bad features immediately after installing AND have good software support
I use windows ltsc specifically because it's debloated, I use windows sparingly these days anyway
But I wish we could have a windows os that's as lightweight as windows xp but still be compatible with the latest and greatest programs of today
and no reactos doesn't count
You naughty naughty
Time to buy a strix 3080 :)
And gift it to me
heyo, my game sometimes just randomly closes with no error or warning
i was wondering if it was something with my drivers?
are you on a nvidia card
ive been having the same issue ever since i installed the newest driver
yall rocking wit amd or nvidia āļø āļø
Intel
VIA
ARM
PowerPC
raspberry pi
Adreno
huge letdown from the looks of reviews, yeah
I found out how much my PC build is gonna cost
how much
$2095.87
link me the pcpartpicker
I'm gonna check it out
ok
$2000
including monitor and mouse and keyboard
Probably using "out of stock price" of amazon.
hopefully so
wheres that pcpartpicker list tho
https://www.gameinformer.com/2021/02/19/soulja-boy-gaming-console-part-2-after-first-attempt-massively-failed @brave field
lezgoooooo

I'm not even using Amazon lol
I mean yeah I'm using Amazon but not for the PC
I'm using Micro Center for the PC
Ah, gotcha
I'm using Amazon for the monitor and mouse and keyboard
But I'm building the PC in June or something
Gotcha, so what ya gon get?
Yeah I'm checking it out rn
just put the parts you want and it gives you the best prices
perfect pc https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DYzrfP
At that price i would just get myself a haswell i5 optiplex.
I literally have one of those as a backup pc
Yeah but this thing can def run cyberpunk at 4k /s
a haswell i5 dell optiplex sff
optiplex as NAS? me too
I use it as a backup pc and to host a minecraft server sometimes
on its last legs?
if I still had my old emachines tower I would've probably turned it into a makeshift nas, but I doubt it'd work right
Well it's a 4th gen so u can slap another cpu there
Considering most low-mid end out-of-the-box nas runs pentiums, i dont think so.
And i remember ones dating all the way back to 2015.
Has anyone of you guys have PCs that are capable of booting both UEFI and Leagcy at the same time?
I think my 780 board can, iirc.
But not so sure honestly
Like, the older AMD FX series board
My Omen can also. I bought a cheap USB flash drive as a dongle to boot to MSDOS on my gaming PC.
Like natively
I'm doing this just to see how my 2018 HP Omen Gaming PC can capable of running old operating system aside from booting to Linux and Macintosh.
haha so funny
Wtf man you made me close my game!
-evil laugh-
i mean. the cable is literally too short to reach the pins
it's also my front jacks
Pull it, feel where its like going to break at.
or is it really worth it
actually it looks like jacks have a different cable
but no pins fit
nowhere
i have pins for usb 2.0 but they don't fit that cable, they have more distance between each other than holes on the cable
i'm mainly going for the front jacks here, i need front ones to work
get an extension cable
really all the advice i can give in that situation
also why tf are you installing an aftermarket mobo in an oem case
i know that would be bright but i actually need my front jacks functional more. and the cable that's responsible for them doesn't have fitting pins on my motherboard
get like a 20-30 dollar case
why
because that case was designed for a certain motherboard
be easier to just use a different case and not need an extension cable
and have dedicated headphone jacks
do cases come with the jack and usb sockets to just connect a cable to?
they come with the cables and you just plug them into the mobo headers
alright then
thanks
no problem
just get something that is mesh
wdym
completely solid front panels are a no no
mesh has a vented front panel
instead of a solid panel
not too cheap to be one use but cheap enough where it makes sense to replace an oem case
like this thingy? xd
kinda
yeah you definitelt should get a new case
Lol
so i won't need to keep anything since i'll have all needed cables with the case?
yeah just swap the mobo from case to case
make sure the case has the ports you need
https://www.newegg.com/black-phanteks-eclipse-p300a-mesh-edition-atx-mid-tower/p/N82E16811854097?item=N82E16811854097&nm_mc=knc-googleadwords&cm_mmc=knc-googleadwords-_-cases (computer cases - atx form)-_-phanteks company-_-11854097&source=region also if you want something a little more robust thatll last for better builds
aye could anybody help me with my pc prbolem
what is it
i just bought it and idk whats wrong but my ping sucks in every game
I mean, his case is fine
nah he should replace it
dell cases have bad airflow
even a budget case will be better
thats your connection man
it cant be
I had a dell optiplex before and it was fine for my hardware
i had ps4 before and it was fine my ping was 20 most of the time
are you on wifi or ethernet
I'd invest on better fans or better parts
wifi
yeah but he has to buy an extension cable to get stuff to work
makes more sense at that point to buy a new case
Usually dell mobos only works on dell cases
its a connection issue
i used to have a dell board but replaced it with a gigabyte
try a lan cable
yeah buy a new case then
that dell case will be annoying to work in and looks ugly
that coolermaster is a really good looking case besides for no gpu shroud
honestly my main concern is that i'm forced to use the rear jack port
did you upgrade the power supply as well
long time ago
it's 400w
yeah just buy a new case at that point
move everything over besides the case itself lol
only way to have the front ports working?
i mean ofc
ok whatever
i will
the dell one might have different pin outs
like the pins functions are different
imo i would reccomend the p300a mesh
its 50 dollars after using the 10 dollar rebate on newegg
i have microATX
not normal atx
atx cases support matx
but they're bigger anyways?
it is bigger and will look a little weird for now
but in the future if you decide to upgrade you have more room to
and for the love of god do not buy an nzxt case
yyyy,,, what's that
nzxt makes garbage
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjUscSRLwks had the whole fiasco with the h1
We believe the NZXT H1 case PCIe riser poses a long-term risk in the event metal screws find their way into them. NZXT needs to fix this beyond just plastic screws. Use code THISISFINE for 10% off a GN toolkit, mouse mat, or other items: https://store.gamersnexus.net/
NZXT RESPONDS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnDWxiFvUtE
Watch part 1 here:...
I don't use the front port anyways because it's usually garbage
U can buy an AUX extension cable and stick it somewhere on your desk.
he has an aftermarket psu and mobo
Like w male to female cable
why not just get a new case
ok beside that, the case also comes with the fan that blows out cool air from the case right?
should come with fans
i think it was 2
it has 1 fan
right now an old intel fan is doing that work xd
you can buy 2 arctic p14s for dirt cheap
and your system will run really cool and quie
it's also like around 400rpm lol
if they have to keep on buying extensions and adapters for a dell case i think a new budget case makes more sense in the long run
3$ aux cable....
how much is shipping tho
And they're buying fans anyways even with new case
What's your card anyways i remember your card doesn't even have power cables
you can always upgrade to a few p14s in future
mine?
Remember me, i helped you to get the system posting
A card that only needs power from pcie
my card pushes out 350w of heat loo
Any good, quiet CPU cooler recommendations before I just go with a 212 evo? Stock AMD cooler getting kinda noisy.
AIO is fine if sub $100
@vapid grove arctic 34 duo
hyper 212 for budget nhu12s for midrange d15/dark rock pro4 for high end
If u can afford 100$ then get arctic liquid freezer 2 240
It's a beast @likedadada#1855
Btw whats your cpu?
Kinda leaning towards AIO tbh just for the clean look. I'll check those out
3600, so dont need anything super beefy
run the cpu at 0c lol
i replaced my sisters stock wraith cooler with a prism rgb i had lying arohnd
that thing is pretty decent for a bundled cooler
I used the stock wraith for a year on my 3600x
It was fine but loud
Because amd decided to cheap out on the coolers
The wraith cooler that came with the ryzen 1600 is much better
they should include prism rgb with 5600x
5600x is a lil hot boy
gonna try undervolting cpu tonight now that i can finally get into bios
should give some good results
is this even spinning fast enough to cool the inside
Replace it
then just buy a new case with 2 bundled fans...
I think it's an 80mm
intel fan
waste of money imo to dump money into a case like that
i just slapped this shitty fan i found because i have nothing else
for now
what cpu do you have
amd ryzen 5 1600
not bad
do you know what chipset the motherboard is by any chance
ok good
so if you wanted to get something better in the future you can
good
i would keep on looking around for cases
that coolermaster is decent but id reccomend the p300a mesh especially with that 10 dollar rebate
okay, i'll look around
thanks
np
also the arctic p14s

i regret not going with a 280 rad
too late now i guess
might give it to my dad since i have to get rid of his nzxt h1
I like how everyone Making a huge deal of the h1
Like the company is completely garbage
I recently bought a power supply from them
rebranded seasonic
So does fractal but i guess we gonna sweep that under the rug because meshify exists?
It's based on seasonic
so its obviously good
They did shit with the h1 yeah i get it but they have decent cases
all of seasonic besides that one crappy one lineup is great
They innovate
a while ago
They actually changed our looks around cases
their current lineup kinda trash
Yeah, i have to say
It's fine
if the h510 was mesh
Just not airflow focused
id reccomend it to almost all people
But it's fine
H510 elite basically change the old adage of "tempered go brr"
since its so easy to build in
To tempered strategically
my case isnt airflow focused but its better than an h510
corsair is much better for cases than they were even a few years ago
Even phantakes until they realized hey ... Dont u think that we should add mesh on the front because LITERALLY EVERYONE IS ASKING FOR IT
the 4000d and 5000d airflow are great examples
I like smooth enthoo more but yeah they need mesh badly
i have a 280x and it looks great even though it isnt the best for airflow
The airflow is literally unusable for WC.
OG or the stupid curved glass one?
imo in the current market where budget airflow cases are so competitve now nzxt falls behind
best budget midtower no cap
No
Tf is that, deepcool?
It's the P360A
coolermaster nr600
And lian li 215
best looking microatx case no cap
Meh
too wide
At least it's not about o11 dynamic
this case was basically the 011 mini before the 011 mini was a thing
Why tf there's glass on top @jovial tide
i think its better than the 011 mini since it supports atx power supplies
doesnt matter since its exhaust
Down-Top airflow is fashionable
@kindred temple EVERYONE IS USING IT

280x and 680x are the corsair equivalents of the 011d and 011 mini
Not gonna lie, i should try converting an O11 for immersion cooling just to piss ya off diana
So air car go though glass if it's exaust

tempered glass eveywhere
i mean it works
It works yeah
it has ventilation
if it was intake id see your point but for exhaust its fine
Actually
theres bottom intake too which i will be using soon
Fans have to work harder
getting 2 ml120s for bottom intake
spin faster and are quieter than the ll120s
and i dont need the ring of rgb when the fans are facing down
U were talking about airflow and mesh all day then u come up with this
i said my case isnt airflow based
but it still outperforms an h510 lol
the h510 is completely solid
this has a lot of vents and gaps while the h510 has a tiny bottom and side intake
granted it wont outperform a mesh case
The problem is
but i really like the way how it looks
ik
O11 dynamic is much better than the Corsair one
I only dislike the o11 because it's heavily used
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4I_Orc2dqPs the top fans are dumb in this build but id do basically the same with the glass being lifted up
Final look of my 280X build, with top standoffs for better airflow. Pretty happy with the result.
Music by:
www.bensound.com
That looks awful
looks nice
i wouldnt lift it up that high
Might as well just remove the side panel to "improve airflow"
Because it has a beefy cooler
founders edition has a much smaller cooler compared to cards like the tuf
Im using a shit case and my card always on max boost
and lift up the bottom feet so the bottom fans can get more intake
the card does a lot of the exhausting
Will be cooler and quieter
I miss my strix card
Why not buy one on best buy lol
If you get more than 144fps then 144hz monitor
generally 144/165hz, IPS panel, and Freesync does the job, but some models will have their quirks
Find some in your budget and look at both professional reviews and user ones
lg 1440p144hz nano ips
fucking awesome monitor
and theres an ultrawide version too
Thanks
What the hell am I doing with my life?
oi, mate, something odd is happening with my mouse
when I try to hold the left mouse button, my mouse for some reason reads that as real quick bashing/clicking, so if I try to hold the left mouse button it'll be turned into click spam
Hmm, have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?
yes
If that doesn't work, maybe force the left click button up, then push it back down
I mean, pull the frame up
it's not about the frame, it's about how the mouse's circuits detects the input
This is what I mean
didn't help
Do i need a monster pc for microsoft flight sim and forza horizon 4?
not sure about forza but flight sim's performance issue is a reliance on singlethread performance, no amount of monstering can help that. Best you could do is Ryzen 5000, which is more monster in price than performance, still
I'd contact the manufacturer then, or look at a replacement.
"contact the manufacturer"
Stares at his elcheapo 12$ gaming mouse
Ok, better worth your time getting a new mouse
If your mouse was $50 or higher then contacting the manufacturer would be worth it
Fh4 is easy to run
Stares at the Egyptian citizen's purchasing power
1 USD = 15 EGP
Flight sim needs a monster pc tho
Like at least an rtx card/rx 5000 series
And a fast cpu
Damn
and a family-size bag of chips
what are your specs
Can someone tell me how to speak to xbox players please
Wdym?
I clicked ps4 by accident when I joined
Oh
!join xbox and optionally !leave ps3
Ty
You probablycant run anything without a graphics card
I do have a graphic card i just can't remember what it's called
Radeon RX 570 Series
How much roughly?
more than what you paid
is it a 4 gig or 8 gig
you see on my screenshot where it shows the memory of my 3080
look on task manager
4gb but it says below that its shared with 12gb
nvm then
those dont sell for as much as the 8 gig cards
https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m53887947866/?ref=search_results this one sold for 150
well i got this pc for free by an it guy in the military so idon't really know much about it
What's that?
and get the rivatuner statistics to see the utilization
its for monitoring and tuning your gpu
Downloading
yeah get the osd set up so you can benchmark games and see your cpu/gpu utilization
if your cpu isnt running at 100 percent in all games you probably have some upgrade headroom
Right now it seems to float between 7-10%
I'll compare it once i got fh4 fully downloaded
0 percent fan speed is fine
thats normal when youre not doing anything demanding
this is how it runs on my rig on ultra
yeah well i mostly have no idea what i'm looking at
the recording quality is shit lol
but it looks much better in person
ill show you
click the settings button
looks like a gear
then go to monitoring
click what you want to go onto on screen display
and it should just work
i clicked show on display
i can see memory and gpu
like on the game?
yes
i would select cpu temperature cpu usage gpu fan speed gpu temp vram usage and gpu clock speed
wont be the exact names but should be close to what is listed on ther
got it
oi mate I think I just experienced one of the worst jumpscares in my life, I was listening to Lo Fi while I am focused on coding, but suddenly my screen completely froze for a few seconds and I heard that super loud sound replay that you hear when you get a BSOD, then it unfroze and worked like normal, I don't know what caused it but it was so damn scary
GPU instability
I don't really know what caused it, this PC is running an XFX RX 570
no under/overvolt, no overclocks
no mine doesn't have that theme, but VSCode still uses my GPU for some reason
GPU-accelerated electron apps
What about the voltages read by your mobo or GPU, are the 3.3v, 5v, and 12v, in their normal range?
HWiNFO or your UEFI usually, yeah
they're not completely accurate, but if it reports something out of the ordinary, it could be a clue towards something
I mean this PC is a dell optiplex 7020, OEM bios
don't know how I can use that to monitor voltage
the CPU is shaking violently between 0.7 V and 1 V
don't know if that's normal or not, it's idle rn
What about under the mobo or GPU section? The CPU doesn't get its power direct from your power supply
GPU instability without load or OC is strange, only ever heard of it happening from a 12v rail outputting 11.2v or lower, or driver issues
I don't really know about that part, I am running the PC on FSP 500 60APN PSU with 24 pin - to - 8 pin adapter to make it work on dell's OEM mobo
FSP phew, straight from an OEM
not really sure of a way to test if its dying or something without either a multimeter or using HWiNFO since you're not able to get that info from BIOS either
Probably not hugely likely to be that its dying either though, considering FSP's reputation I should know better than to trust ANY PSU manu, not just your typical evga/thermaltake/corsair
hmmm, weird, people tell me 60APN series is a dumpster fire
Well I don't know too much about their lower tiered units so that's probably true
I thought they had fully discontinued lower tier units and worked solely on Gq/PurePower10 and server units now
Do you have a multimeter on you? It + paperclip test might be useful
sometimes I get anxious and get prepared for the PSU to blow up in my face, when I do some overclocking experiments for example, but I am sure I Should be fine since this is a low power PC (uses i5 4590), the only power hog in the PC is the GPU I guess
hmmmm, let me go get it
oh boy, I think I last put it in the drawer in my dad's room
my dad's asleep
Rx 500 series cards are not stable from my experience
My 580 has been okay but not perfect. Haven't had this, though
but ye, I don't even know the basic basics of how electricity works
I am afraid I ruin something
well
better to ruin a PSU than to let the PSU kill all your components by not delivering the power they need in a clean and stable manner
or worse, have a diablotek/logisys/occasionally EVGA G3 situation on your hands
...what are those?
oh, bootleg PSUs
The first two have a great history of ending up in youtube videos and amazon reviews involving sparks
I am surprised EVGA can make bootleg PSUs too
