I thinks its a generation thing, GTA 5 and 4 have more modern music than GTA VC or SA, since 4 and 5 are "modern", meaning supposed to be happening on the year they came out, while VC and SA are "historical pieces", if I am not mistaken VC is supposed to be happening in the 70s or 80s, while SA is supposed to be in the 80s or 90s.
So for me 80s and 90s music is vastly superior to modern music, so of course I prefer SA and VC radio stations.

I have to agree that GTA SA had lots of interesting stuff that was discarded in GTA 4, but it's not all bad, the gang wars for example are very specific to GTA SA story, so it's not a bad loss;
The buddies and gf system in GTA 4 is more interesting than in GTA SA, despite of less complex since you can't change the body shape, also meeting all the girls online instead of bumping into them in specific places is a downgrade;
The character costumization downgrade is annoying, but in a way I think it makes Niko a stronger character;
Niko as more personality than CJ, in a certain sense;
CJ could be a strong one man army, but he was a bit naive and dense sometimes;
The casino and stuff would be sorta useless in GTA 4 since you can't buy houses, there's basically nothing to do with money...
But gameplay is better, story is heavier, I like both games a lot.

you'll have better luck restarting a new game and following a stocks guide

I'd try my luck with taco bomb stocks:
create a backup save, invest like 10000 on taco bomb with Trevor, just so the game "targets it";
Quick save;
Rest without saving, just press the go back key instead of selecting a file to overwrite;
Check stock, if it drops over 0.5 save, if not, then rest again and repeat;
If after 3 or 4 rests it doesn't drop, then reload.
You want it to drop below 4 or less;
Then create another backup save;
Invest all money on taco bomb;
Repeat the method above but save when it rises over 0.5 instead of dropping;
You can easily get it to rise above 6 or 7;
If you buy for 3 and sell at 7 you more than double your money, can take a couple hours, but it worked for me.

I keep trying to start a mission and have the "This mission has been disrupted. Please return later" pop up. I am simply driving up to it

if it's monkey business (the mission taking place in the top right hand corner of the map by the cape) it's a common "bug" you can try fast travelling with a taxi straight to the mission when it reappears or drive slowly and or from a different place so you dont take the usual road

There is no both, you can kill one or the other or save them.

I never picked any other endings, only played through the game once.

I found a bug, sometimes you can find Ron practicing aim with 2 bottles and a gun, I always like to interrupt his fun by shooting both the bottles off the table that the bottles were on. But this time, I shot both the bottles off with an RPG, shot 1 bottle and the table away. Meanwhile, one bottle was just floating in the air. Not sure how I caused this.
