When playing GTA 5 Online my fps cant stay above 60 fps all time even tho I got a pretty decent gaming laptop, Asus TUF F15 with an RTX 3060 6gb vram 95w gdp paired with an i5 11400h and x2 8gb 3200mh ram. When playing online the GPU and CPU both barely go above 40% use and the temps are decent 70-80 degrees. Tried lowering graphics, different presets and such and nothing happened but in story mode the GPU gets used to 80-90% and CPU 50-70% which is what should happen in online too but it doesn't. I don't think its a CPU bottleneck but I can be wrong so I'm looking at any tips on how to fix this (drivers are up to date, best power plan, nvidia settings set to dedicated gpu and max power use so these are out)

The usage in story mode is higher, because the framerate is higher. Online is a bit more demanding, especially on your CPU.

Lower the fps = lower the usage

Also, please switch to Enhanced

trying to join a match with a friend, but as far as I can tell, the options just don't exist. "Join Friends" button in the online menu is permanently greyed out, showing a tip at the bottom that no friends are playing gta. When I go a tab over to the friends menu, I can clearly see them playing online. On that same friends tab, everything I've seen online shows you can select a friend, and a 'join game' button appears. That just doesn't exist for me. The Play with Crew option back in the online tab isn't grayed out, but throws up an alert saying "failed to find a compatible gta online session containing crew members." and puts me in a random lobby.

Going on the rockstar games account thing, I can also see them online, see a big fat "invite to game" option, press it, and nothing happens. On the friend's side, they press that as well, likewise nothing happens. It says they've been invited, but when we look in the "game invites" section under the social tab, nothing appears.

We are both visible to everyone under the rockstar games account. We are both on the same version. We have both restarted our games. We have both tried coming in from story as well as online, we have tried refriending, we left and joined a crew to try that, we have reset internet, this is a fresh install on both our computers. First time playing enhanced after migrating our accounts if that matters.

i’ve been banned and i migrated twice

make sure you log into your rockstar games and go to linked accounts , both your pc and playstation, whatever you’re leaving behind is what you disconnect then connect to what you’re trying to migrate to

if you try to migrate while you having something else prioritized it won’t let you , i see you’re pc so if you’re making the change to console make sure you disconnect your pc from it

i installed enahcned yesterday. it asked if i wanted to migrate my legacy character i said no. made a new character, made his career, got my 4m and then it wouldnt load me into online after i made my character. would try to load for a few minutes then send me back to the main menu or just say kicked from battleye, returning to main menu

this has happened at least 10-20 times now. ive uninstalled. uninstalled the rockstar launcher too. verified integrity of my files. NOTHING IS WORKING
