back when I first started out like late 2018 GTA used to run hella smooth, single player and multiplayer. But now I get about 30Fps tops and the game is choppy af and just freezes at random for example whilst I'm driving.

So I just found out the I got hacked and lost my rockstar account to a Chinese hacker that changed my mail to new mail without my verification and simply snitched the account without me releasing and all that time I kept trying to reset my account password and waiting for the link to be sent on my mail but ofc it’s being sent to the new mail the hacker used and I didn’t even realise until I found an old mail saying in Chinese that my mail got changed now I don’t know what to do and ofc the support isn’t responding

Hey im playing on a 4k tv and running gta in 1920x1080 in 16:9 and evrytime im in a cutscene these black bars come in from the sides as if im using a different resolution or aspect ratio, im on pc btw. Ive looked at different threads related to it and tried running my tv in 1920 and using a third party app to delte my 17:9 resolution options as one thread said and ive had no luck, the only way that fixed it was running the game in 4k but my pc isnt powerful enough for that and causes other problems. if anyone has any knowledge on ways to get around this it would be greatly appreciated!

I tried to launch gta after a few months of not playing it and it said it was uninstalled. It didn't make sense because I had 3 folders of gta and I named one of them GTAV and it still said uninstalled. I installed it then I put the directory into the gtav folder because I assumed that it would just replace all the original gtav files and keep my mods but instead it made a whole new folder inside the modded gta folder named gtav with a clean copy of gta. I removed that folder and then it said I needed to verify the game files. I did that and it brought me back to gtav clean copy being in my modded folder. Now I uninstalled the game and nothing seemed to disappear. Now when I press install I try to download it to my external hard drive so I can transfer all the mods from the old folder to the new folder for it to launch but it says "Directory must be empty" which makes no sense and now I'm stuck here. If I can get gta to install in the external hard drive I think I would be able to fix my issue from there.

Yesterday and today, I've been trying to do the First Dose 6 mission, without success. The farthest I've made it without the game breaking on me is entering the Brickade 6x6 and getting onto the road for about 1 second. The earliest bug was the first time I tried the mission, it would not allow me to interact with the train wreck at all. So far, the bugs have only happened after arriving at the train wreck. The various bugs or breaks in gameplay are as follows:

• I cannot interact with the crates or chemicals in the train wreck
• I cannot use my interaction menu
• I cannot use my phone
• I cannot use throwables
• I cannot see animations (entering/exiting vehicle, reload, interactions with chemicals/crates)
• I cannot shoot from behind cover or in a vehicle
  I've spent at least 3 hours (so far) trying to finish this mission, but I keep encountering one of these errors, if not a combination of many. If anyone has a solution or can help me out in any way, please do.

I recently, more like a few months ago i started to get a lot of problems in terms of whole pc freezing and tdr failure, i managed to fix that by completely reinstalling windows. I now have it where randomly the game will freeze and when i click it would not respond and close. I have reinstalled windows, updated windows and gpu drivers, tried to mess with graphics settings, put everything on lowest, tried all directx version in settings and both vsync off and on, tried verifying the game, nothing worked i looked all over the net, i am confused to as why i didnt have that problem before when i was runnng older gpu and 6gbs of ram where now i have 8gb, a newer gpu and even replaced cpu thermal paste. My game is on epic games

i have a really annoying bug where i cant start the pac standard heist. Im at the finale at the screen where i give everyone their cut and roles for the finale but i cant press continue. the timer at the bottom shows 0:00 and pressing x or enter on the continue button does nothing

You can try deleting setting.xml (or rename/move it) under Documents -> Rockstar Games -> GTA V. This will reset your graphics settings. Then you can set them again ingame, or use internet to manually edit it.

Well, GTA doesnt really depend much on the GPU, but i dont think a worse performance is normal. You sure you have all the exact settings in the game? Double check if you dont have something like MSAA enabled

You can't set the RAM in it to its max clock speed and there's barely any airflow coming to the case and the specs are a bit outdated for the price range

But on the positive side it has dual channel ram and a decent cpu so if it's one of your only choices it's not that bad

And if you want to run GTA5 it will do that just fine
