God I hate the Rockstar Launcher and the awful DRM

I just spent an hour of my life trying to figure out if Rockstar servers were down, if I had a Steam Deck/Proton compatibility layer related issue, was considering a complete reinstall because the game and launcher was thinking I was offline.

The solution? Another user suggested that if you share your IP address with a lot of other users (on a mobile network, behind CGNAT), your IP address may have been blocked.

I couldn't open the socialclub page up, and this ended up being the issue. Had to change my IP address by toggling airplane mode to get a new IP address

No user should have to go to these lengths to get a game to work

Kind of sad that activation required screens prevent you from playing singleplayer mode offline. The only reason I didn't consider finding a launcher bypass is because I want the ability to play online

whenever i open gta my rockstar games launcher just shows me some problem naming "offline mode:- could not establish connection, rockstar games services are not available and offline mode could not be verified(code 134)"

i really am pissed off of this shit happening quite often and need help

I'm having problems with loading GTA 5 itself. Whenever I try launching the game, it shows me the start-up "please do not quit the game while you see this icon" texts as usual, and then sometimes it freezes, other times it loads the game like normal. my gta online isnt working i cant log in its say that rockstar services are temporarily unavailable or Failed to download files from rockstar games service that require gta online
i need someone who can help me

That happened to me before , if nothing helps just delete the Rockstar Games Folder on OneDrive if there are any corrupted files due to crashes or etc it would help bypass it

I would do that , but cloud saves are directly stored with your onedrive , if you do delete it , GTA might have some problem running idk cant be sure

If its been happening for 3 days , a trouble shoot would be to open GTA and load into story mode , then select character selection , it might say an error once or twice but eventually it should let you load in

Neither Online progress is saved on your computer nor is it on OneDrive it's all stored on Rockstar's cloud servers as well

My OneDrive was full before the gta installation, so there is no file in there w

The only way I manage to play gta is by deleting this index.bin file, and then update the game through the launcher, that's all I can do. Should I delete GTA and re-install it? 💀

Pretty sure that you'll have to change the flight controls for every flying vehicle, in the keybinds section in the settings

Because you probably load into Online from the start menu, it will always put you into a public session which can take a long time depending on what's going on in the session you're joining

You should always load into story mode first and then enter Online, fastest way to get into Online is to join an invite only session

what the hell? after not playing for a while i verified files and loaded up as usual, did some freemode stuff, and then the game closed, launched again, same thing happened but after like 2 minutes. when i opened up rockstar games launcher i was signed out. How did i even manage to play through steam even tho i was signed out of rgl
