2 - Next, go to the Auto Roles module and begin adding roles.
3 - Finally, add a role that does not have administrative privileges.

Keep in mind: In order for the bot to assign that role to a newly joined member, it must be higher up in the role hierarchy in the role settings. Also, if you have the discord-welcome-screen enabled, users must accept it before they can receive the role.

I seem to have a problem with the leveling system of probot.

It seems to level up people if they earn the activity on their own but not if I set their rank manually through the bot (e.g. no message in rankings channel, no role assigned). Is this behavior a design choice or is there something wrong?

Also in any case it doesn't seem to assign the roles at the set activity requirement.

I have checked that the bot role is higher up than the ones it manages and there is no welcome message. On my test server probot does what it should but it won't do it on the server I am actually trying to implement this.

Is there anything I'm missing?

at the moment, there's no way you can break an ongoing command other than kicking the bot, or limting its permissions
you can kick the bot out, and invite it back in but without the administrative permission, let it be in the server for a while to make it hallucinate about it changing roles from people, and then give it permission again (after around 15 minutes)
we have already planned about an operation break command I think but I will have to make another check

Each message will contribute XP, but once a message is sent, there is a cooldown before the bot resumes awarding XP. During this cooldown, any subsequent messages will not count towards XP gain, regardless of their length.

2 - Next, go to the Leveling System module and click on Add Role Reward
3 - Finally, configure it as desired by adding the required text and voice levels.

Keep in mind: You can add NO-XP-ROLES and NO-XP-CHANNELS to prevent that role and channel from gaining xp. Furthermore, if you have both text and voice set up, the user will need to reach both in order to receive the role reward role.

For voice, about every 2-5 minutes with the xp amount of 10. This is a fixed amount but may be changed while working since I just calculated this pretty long ago. You can just sitting in a voice channel, regardless your voice states, xp will still count after cooldown. But to get reward roles bound to the voice levels, you will need to gain some text xp to trigger bot to update level roles

if you're trying to access a dashboard link, it will only work if you have administrative permission in that server

Ye I have an administrator account and I tried it on two servers and the same problem occurred

then make sure you are using that account on the dashboard if it's a different one
best is to slowly access the dashboard from the home page instead of a direct link
