I did not get this during the Earth storm in Brakenhide Hollow yesterday. Today an Elemental Storm was up during Siege and as you can see I got it before even getting into the keep.

I suspect that it's not just any elemental storm, but one that has an event going on. The op that posted getting it as a drop was farming keys and doing something for an achievement up in OS.

Could it be as simple as if you have received/de'd all glimmers it flags next possible "glimmer drop" being the recipe instead?

No matter which one of the 5 glimmers it is.

Would make sense as some people have to DE several pets for the recipe aswell.

Then I should have gotten it in Brackenhold yesterday, I killed several rares in there, was in there for quite a while. As you can see from when I did get it I wasn't hardly in there considering how fast siege happens now.

I just went through 6 pets. First gave glimmer (last one I needed) of course, next 4 gave nothing, realized I hadn't DEd the Glimmer. DEd it and the next, and final, pet DEd gave me the recipe.

So TL;DR is that we need to use, on the same character, the Primal Invocation Extract to total up to 360 minutes of total use? Reading the pin that's what it states, but reading all your comments some people are adding up less than 360 minutes

That's what we have been testing. The 360 mins was an early estimate of time. @sage vapor can best explain what is really happening and why some get it in less than 360 mins and why @mossy star was at 510 mins before she got it.

The order in which you do these actually matters, as R1 are more precise than R3. Finishing with R3 can make the counts wrong and finish with a bigger value than necessary. 🤔

Here are the precise numbers required to obtain this toy.

You need to accumulate 2600 points. Each Primal Invocation Extract gives you a set amount of points based on its quality:

Rank 1 : 51 points - (51 extracts)
Rank 2 : 100 points - (26 extracts)
Rank 3 : 150 points - (18 extracts)

As Extracts can only be used once every hour, I would advise buying only 17 Rank 3 extracts, which will give you a total of 2550 points.
Then proceed to buy the cheapest one available, no matter what quality it is, it will give you the toy.
They all must be used on the same character.

If you have time on your side and really want to save money, you can calculate yourself which option is more economically viable based on these numbers.

I crafted around 400-500x Q3 Extracts on my Enchanter, and then used ~18-20 of them to get the Toy (after crafting that many).

I didn't track exact usage, but it was around there.

I didn't craft any Q2s or Q1s, I was guaranteeing the Q3 craft by Elemental Shattering

And Wicedin crafted 1000+ of the Q3s as well. Not sure if/when he got his toy though.

you don't have to DE the pet to get the recipe, you can do the siege during an elemental storm, that's where my testing alt got it. There is another report of the recipe dropping during a storm at the slagmire.

Where am I : I have obtained and disenchanted all 5 glimmers, finishing with order, and I have maxed out all the disenchant tree.

What happens : I have farmed elemental storms and bosses for day, crafted and disenchanted around 50 sophic pets, and the recipe never dropped.

I tried multiple GM requests, and most told me to make a bug report, one even told me I already knew the recipe, while it appears "unlearned" in the interface.

I have heard from some guildies that are trying to get it that they have had 0 luck with them since the pre-patch. its possible something they did broke the drops but hard to confirm that.
