It can help to focus on your improvements instead of worrying about where you still need work. And if you feel that you aren't progressing enough in one skill, for example speaking, then all you can do is to put more focus on that skill and practice it.
Every little bit of practice gets you closer to fluency.

I would get a decent grasp of basic grammar like the cases, adjective endings, etc and then just start trying to read a book going sentence by sentence trying as long as it takes to grasp how the grammar works in each one. Write down words you don't know and then put them into some flash card thing and practice once a day. For book suggestion I choose something medium difficulty, my personal recommendation would be modern Luther translation of Die Bibel

@small ocean goethes quality is very good, there are almost no bad teachers, some might be worse or better but they cant deviate from the learning plan much anyways. However, they dont force you to work as much so if you just do the bar minimum (just going to lessons, not doing homeworks, not actively participating in lessons and conversations etc), your progress wont be much. Another con is that there are many learners in one course (usually around 15)
