I don't want to change topics on the main general chat so i'll say it here- A friend of mine gifted me a difussor (they bought one of those silicone adaptable ones, but her hairdryer was too big, so she bought a hairdryer with difussor included. It wasn't until she showed me that i told her that they are called "silicone adaptable" for a reason and she just needed to tweak it a little 😂 she had no use for it anymore so she gifted it to me) and i've researching on curl definition techniques- i don't have the curl definition brush (yet, it's on it's way to my house) but i used curl cream, sectioned my hair and tried my very best to define my curls with what i can, used the difussor... and this was the result!

The difussor was the biggest change, as i've used the curl cream and tried to define my curls in the past, but what (i think) happened this time is that the difussor was able to dry my curls without the water weighting them down, so the curls actually started near my roots this time! It's not perfect, it still needs practice, and i'm waiting for that curl definig brush to see if that encourages some change too. But i'm so, so happy with the result!

Generally it's not going to be useful if you just put it on as background noise. If you're actively listening and trying your best to understand the words, it will help.

Ideally you should look for something roughly around your skill level, because if it's something too advanced, you'll struggle to process enough to really get anything out of it.

Yeah, if you're a beginner, it's hard to focus on audio while multitasking. You can probably do it with your native language, because you already know it well enough that your brain can "fill the gaps" and only pay half attention. But if you're a beginner or even intermediate level, you usually have to fully pay attention to the audio because you need that much brain power to process the info.

You can certainly try it out. It doesn't hurt. But yeah, if you really find that you can't pay attention, you probably won't take in much.
