YO, just got back into learning german, I initally challenged myself to learning 5 new words a day, but using this new technique I divised, I was actually unintentionally able to learn a whopping 35 new words in a single day.

I think it works because I have an A1 proficiency basis to work on, but I've been watching a show in german with german subtitles (doesn't matter to me if they match, actually it's better that they don't so your tested in audio and reading comprehension even more) then every time I think I hear a word I think can understand, or make out clearly, I look up the definition, compare that to its context, then add it to a list of words in a Google docs (all without definitions, so I actually have to work to remember their meaning. As I go through the list more and more often, I've assigned an emotional feeling and memory to each word, and am adding them to my long term memory, still not done fine tuning it, but I'm genuinely surprised how well it's working. The key imo is to come to terms with the fact that you won't know every word.

Just find something you enjoy, doesnt matter if it's difficult to understand or not, just something that makes you want to watch more, and your brain will try and fill in the gaps so that it can understand what it wants to understand

"dir" is not an abbreviation, it's just the dative 2nd person singular pronoun. It's kind of like why "I" and "me" are different words in english, they serve two different grammatical functions

ye for "du", "dir", "dich" i have in my native language: "du" and "dig". "dig" is used for swedish version of dative case and ackusativ, so i should be able to remember that turning into "dir" pretty easily actually.

Some verbs will take the dative instead of the accusative, which is just a quirk of the language, so it wont be 1:1

Das EOP (Einführungs- und Orientierungspraktikum) war super! Das einzige was mir nicht gefallen hat war es den Bericht selbst zu schreiben. Hehe und meine Mentorin war auch nicht die beste. Aber die Lehrerin war wie meine echte Mentorin.

Mir ist klar, dass wenn man Kind ist alles machen möchte außer Schule. Ist ja ganz normal, war früher auch so! Aber man muss, ne? Hehe.

Aber generell finde ich braucht es eine Reform des Bildungssystems. Weil wenn wir Mal wirklich ganz ehrlich sind... Heutzutage wenn du wirklich Informationen finden musst, hasst du sie innerhalb weniger Sekunden auf deinem Bildschirm.

Also dieses: alles auswendig lernen, im Test schreiben, danach sofort vergessen bringt einfach absolut nichts.

(aber gut hierrüber könnte ich stundenlang reden was ich euch allen Mal ersparen möchte :)

Yes of course. For study groups with limited slots, depending on the group and the situation, it might be a bit rude to occupy slots that other people would use to practice, but for channels that don't have a member cap, no one will complain if you just stay there muted. People might prompt you to talk or try to start a conversation, but you're in no way required to do so.

It's important to establish a meaningful connection with someone first if you don't want to get ghosted. If you randomly message someone and they don't even know you, or they don't know you that well, the chances of that connection continuing is going to become lesser compared to if you were to speak to this person for longer. It's common sense but it's a very hard catch at the same time

I didn't stay in Salzburg I just took a bus tour there, I stayed in Vienna

I found a place through "Vienna Residence", so maybe you can ask them if they have any connections to Salzburg

It's hard to know whether or not it's reasonable, it would have to depend on a lot of different factors such as how close it is to the center of the city, how new the apartment is, how many bathrooms there are and how many rooms it has (the overall size of the apartment), the current condition that it's in (sort of relates to how old the apartment is but not always if it's been poorly maintained)

But as a blind answer I would say that's a fair price for a Salzburg 2-bedroom apartment

In Prague it would be much more expensive, maybe at around €350,000 on average

The housing market changes depending on the country, so in France for example where places are much older compared to other countries (as in, apartments that are built in let's say the mid 1900s), you could have to spend around that price as you would for an apartment in Salzburg built in the late 1900s, but again I'm just talking average, there's a lot of other variables that are at play so it's hard to give a straight-forward answer
