And I dont know how old they are but if they start speaking later or have less vocabs then kids their age that is totally normal for billingual and will have no negative effects when they grow older. There are even studies that say that if your kids is raised bilingual they will have it a bit easier to learn another language in the future... so I am happy for them! :D
