Yeah, but I think part of it is just that Geralt sees them as opposites but they actually have a lot in common when it comes to their basic personality. Like Dandelion is more flashy and outgoing and Geralt is more reserved and cynical. But they're both people who love to have fun, go on adventures, and have this sense of heroism that drives them, and other stuff like that. They have a lot of shared hobbies and a similar way of looking at the world.
