Gold is the currency for the market/auctionhouse and your stronghold (some things). It's for trading, mainly. However, silver is a much easier to obtain currency and is used to fix your gear and buy some potions. Silver cannot be traded to other players. The more you play the more you'll notice, the more "important" items require gold to craft things.

Currently you probably cant download it cause others who are trying to also have issues.

Steam will not ban you for using a VPN (only if you use it to purchase stuff for cheaper prices) and you might not need it to play after the download is finished so i doubt amazon will do anything

The reason your game downloaded only 50GB and the folder is empty, is that the game is compressed. Once it's officially released for y'all F2P players, it will be extracted properly to the 70+GB folder size.

you have to have more than the download size available to both have room for the compressed files and decompressed files. you download compressed files (temporary) then when you launch for the first time, steam unpacks the compressed files then deletes those temporary compressed files

Play a few classes to figure out what playstyle you like. If you like getting into the thick of it warrior and Martial artist are great. Ranged id say mage and gunslinger would be perfect. you might even like the quick in and out playstyle of assassin
