Well there is no raw gold cost to 1580 outside of Fusion materials. I would use your main to bring in gold, a 1680 can bring in a decent big. Run solo raids for solo tokens and buy fusions from the solo mode shop

Well you dont need gold really for your low ilvl alts just yet. Run your 3 high gold earning raids and use the gold to support your main. Then blast through the old raids in solo mode, Valtan, Vykas, Clown, Brel, Kayangel, Ivory Tower, Akkan as non-gold earning to get a ton of solo tokens. Use the solo tokens to support your alts

Cost nerf and the special scroll materials made it more viable to use earlier.

you have to think of it as, people that did back in t3 got to 1660 sooner or 1680 sooner than the people that are doing it right now

Like with advanced honing I was 1650 in t3 which became 1670 in t4 so I had a very easy hone to aegir hm.
