The servers have recently merged. This has moved around some items, but they are not lost.
Step 1. Reclaim your characters from the Universal Storage on the character select screen.
Step 2. Login and claim your cards on the Universal Storage tab on the card menu using ALT+C.
Step 3. Reclaim your roster storage by using ESC and opening Universal Storage.
Step 4. Re-equip your cards as they were reset and must be re-equipped.
You are all good to go!

Make a new char ONLY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE STORY OF THE GAME, then you will have a char high up doing cool raids and one for only story

If youre overwhelmed you can always make a 2nd char to play the story. I wouldnt throw away that char tho. It skips 100+ hours of content easy and you might get tired of story

No, I'd still refine them.
Without enlightment points your gutting your own damage, or ability to perform as a support since you'll likely miss out on key nodes in the Enlightment tree.
It costs next to no gold to refine accessories, especially Relic ones.

Yea that I dont get. Its always been 140% compared to char but maybe the game considers that the default. If youre moving at 140% you have 100% mount speed
