Its worth noting that order matters a lot here. So the compounding is dependent upon how the game implements things (which is why certain systems are MUCH better for multiplicative bonuses). I cant speak for Lost Ark specifically, but as an example lets say you have a +100% additive damage bonus and a +100% multplicative bonus.
If additive is first, multiplicative compounds it. So (100% (base) + 100% (add. bonus)) * (1 + 1.0) = 200% * 2 = 400% damage.
If multiplicative is first, additive does not compound it. So (100% (base) * (1 + 1.)) + 100% (add. bonus) = 200% + 100% = 300% damage.
So for example, if tripods are applied before engravings (I have no idea if they are), then engravings being multiplicative is a much bigger deal

i highly recommend picking 3 characters you like a lot, be it looks or how they play, you can do a little research, use one to do the story, use the second for this powerpass we have and the 3rd for if we get another pass next week
