You can do life skills (fishing, excavation) to get materials and sell them to get unbound gold. Just make sure to do that in t3 regions (Punika or higher).
Ultimately, though, you should learn raids and dungeons, like kayangel and brel. Valtan is an option for the 3rd raid on ru as typically you're getting carried anyway, just don't screw up the mechs.
You can be gatekept due to garbage build (no offense), low roster lvl and other signs indicating you don't really know what to do. The solution is to fix your stuff and find a learning party or people willing to carry/teach you (if I can find people that literally drag me into Thaemine to get me a clear and some experience, you can do the same).

Life skills get more and more rewarding once you get higher levels and better tools, by the way.

Whether it's worth or not is up to you, it's pretty demanding and community is ass sometimes, but eh, if you're into MMOs

Valtan, especially the ghost phase, is very dependent on learning the patterns. Once memorized, you can basically do a hitless run. Try to pay attention to when attacks happen and what animations lead to those.

Also, a pro tip is to identify what skills have the super armor trait. Where it locks you into an animation and prevents you from getting pushed or knocked up. Not sure what class you play, but each class has certain skills that make them immune to certain attacks that can move them and such.

2. swap on 7 which of the 3 sage you want to get super purple on, then dont touch them

4. use rerolls on super blue at 1 turn remaining till you get option that doesnt consume a use so you can then use super purple from 2)

There's a elixir calculator or something and more complex advice but i couldn't be arsed using it every step and just followed the above and got 40/40 pretty easily

i wouldnt intentionally stay in t3 if i could go to t4. it MIGHT be a little more expensive to adv hone at some point in t4 (you will start off by normal honing first anyway) but you would miss out on like what 20% power increase? in the long rung, which will make progging older raids just easier for you. together with accumulating bound mats over time by just doing your dailies there

Don't ever hold your T4 progress because of advanced honing, especially if it's gonna be a fresh 1620.

Advanced Honing will stabilize its price later on as time goes by as there will be a point where doing Advance Honing on T4 will be cheaper than Regular Honing (like what happened into 1620 - 1630 bracket back then), it's just much more expensive initially especially it's a fresh tier release.

I guess the main suggestion I can give you is to unlock the temper, but don't do the adv hone itself.
