I am way late to this but Solo Mode is visibly not intended to be for challenge, it is a new/returning/casual player focused system. It isn't necessarily for veterans even if they can partake in them with lower ilvl alts. Thats why there is a cutoff point, for now, at 1610.

If u mean the ai for elixirs, it is nothing compared to the trans ai, cause if u put a guy who "knows" how to trans he will never get it right, but then if u put someone who can do elixirs, he will 9/10 times get it right. Makes sense ?

for characters to be effective, content such as elixirs would be required to attain that effectiveness
