You can select up to 6 characters on roster to earn gold from Legion Raids, Abyssal Dungeons, and Abyss Raids.
Sources for earning gold:

• Earn more tokens the higher ilvl your highest character on roster is

I picked a character already for express and it passed 1600. They now let us change the character once, so we can pick something else.

Now the question is: Do I get the honing benefits on the new character.. like less gold, less materials for taps. I do know I DONT get the rewards again for item level milestones and the final reward.

When you switch characters with the mokoko express the level 7s get moved as well. You can rebuy lvl 7s from the Solo Raid exchange shop easily enough. Your 1st character will keep the lvl 8s
