Hey guys, returning player here. I quit right after argos, like 1336 or so.
Been grinding up using the event and just tried to do Kayangel Hard yesterday for the first time and heavily struggled with the dps check on the first fight, my group did it with 3 seconds to spare. I feel like my damage is really low looking at the comparisons to RE deathblades online.

My LOS deck is definitely not gonna happen atm lol, but I've got almost all of deep dive. My stats aren't so bad I believe? I'm just not sure where to go next to eke out more damage - like what will give me the biggest increase per time investment.

I've upgraded 2 pieces from Kayangel - my weapon and one other... should I just keep doing normal until I have more orbs to upgrade the rest or is there something else I should be doing?

4. kaya is weak to dark damage so LoS literally doesn't do anything unless you have 18 set

There are a lot of things you can do to improve your damage

Tbh the biggest thing is experience. Gear wise you're fine, not exceptional, but standard. But with more experience you can greed more DMG from patterns you don't need to be afraid of

Even upgrading your stone gives a ton of hp. Makes fights more comfy as you can reasonably tank hits better and attack more

Kaya as a whole is just a pain for entropy too

you can also try cycling dark and atro, kaya+ is where we started really using them

timing for darks is usually when he staggers, and cycling it once he finishes 55x mech to clear

from what I understand, it's hard to get into akkan without kayangel upgraded gear though :/

A tangential example. Me and my raid group tried HM Echidna. Our first pull of G1 we enraged at 50 bars. We had no experience and were playing very very safe. After a couple hours time became no issue and it was all about performance and staying alive

It will be I guess. But with lost ark it can be hard to find groups in general

if people are gatekeeping you for set level that's cringe, it's more likely due to low roster level and lack of cards

Cards for sure. They make a tangible improvements to your damage. Roster level is a meaningless number for social acceptance

But you can always do both side by side. Doing main story quests is one of the best ways to get roster xp. But Kurzan also gives a lot of cards and has solid rewards

My roster is probably much further along. But for example I ran 4 of the Kurzan msq, boring as shit, but went from roster 268-275. Also got like ~7 leg cards total and a ton of other cards and xp

Tier 1&2 tower are good for roster xp. Terrible rewards. But you can finish a tower in 15 mins for ~5k roster xp a floor
