@topaz prawn there has been an powerpass which will boost you to 1460 and after that you will receive amount of honing materials and gold which will allow you to hone to 1520+ and will be active up to 1580 if i remember correctly

The full story is that there has always been a huge bot issue in the game. There have been tons of changes to combat them. Bots farm lifeskills on mass, and a new player is required to lifeskill to craft some honing mats. Ideally after an appeal you should be fine but idk

i mean there was an event like a month ago where you could hone both armor and weapon with books, but that event is gone probably. Iirc the daily reward recently was a chest with a few books too. But generally if you have a book you would want to use it.

Because not only does it increase your chances, it also raises the artisan gain from tapping.
