Tldr it's a modified version of an existing raid where your ilvl does not matter. You do need to meet the minimum ilvl to participate. There is no gold rewards for clearing them and no lockouts.

You have "Book of Coordination" to set your stat distribution, armor set, engravings, skills and gems with no cost.

That's bout it. Everything else is more or less specific to the raid itself.

Generally, dump those on armor cuz its 16 compared to 40 on weapon and chances are the same if they are the same level; and since usually ur weapon will be a higher ilvl, it has a lower chance of hitting

It really just depends on how much time you have and how you want to play the game. You can focus on a single character, but yes that does typically result in less time spent ingame. If you want to play more then more characters is the way, but you need to approach alts in the right way with this game.
