gear will only use the items it needs specifically to hone. If you don't have enough of those items, you can't hone. There are honing items that help boost the percent chance of success (like honing books and solar materials) but I assume you're at a very very low level so it should just be 100% success chance for now.

• Earn more tokens the higher ilvl your highest character on roster is

i mean as support there is no perfect solution unless you’re actively communicating with the people you’re playing with, or you know what they would prefer. there’s just two types of dps players. the “heal me i don’t want to pot in hw ur healing is free” vs “i rather pot pls just onlt buff so we get out faster” and heal does lose a lot of value as contents become out geared. but tldr is to only heal when multiple people are low/a dps just potted and got hit again so they are in danger zone hp with no pot
