Just go through the introduction to get your stronghold set up then start researching stuff

What you want to look out for is Fusion Material research via Excavating

But you should still regularly visit your stronghold once it's set up.

Dispatch regularly and research. takes less than a minute.

So you can start leveling it up to unlock other things.

You don’t have the gear reset, so the same materials and shards. However the gear is no longer 100% change but still very high.
In order to access Punika you still have to do Rohendel -> Punika either via MSQ or Knowledge Transfer

There’s some benefits and losses to it

When I'm 1415 (all gear at +10) should I wait to clear and craft Valtan Normal for Set Gear and hone that one ? Or will I be able to transfer my +11+ over to the set when I get it ?
I'm confused since sometimes it transfers the whole +X level, and sometimes it just converts the +10 to +1 iirc

Your gear transfers 1:1 for legendary and relic tier 3 gear.

it's the same honing chance, cost etc. albeit maybe a slightly higher silver cost to put shards into for relic gear.

It's worth still pushing legendary to 1490 if you aren't making use of any skips or express event, however to get that character into regular (non-bus) Brelshaza runs you'll be expected to have worked towards full relic gear for the set-bonuses.

Yes I was planning to do them anyways, it's just that it's so hard to find people to do Valtan with 30 min queues and people disconnecting after 2 tries, I wondered if in the meantime I was able to try to reach higher ilvl or if it was wasted ^^
So basically the only times when you have to start over the honing is when switching to T3, and then when switching to Ancient gear, is that right ?

yeah, thats how you pay the carry. you buy the item they listed on the auction. press alt+y which opens the auction. then switch the tap from market -> auction house. then type in the name of the gem or accessory to find their item. make sure it's exactly the same item the carry is selling, not someone else's. checking the quality of the accessory or gold number of minimum bid can help you identify it
