Eventually yes. The cost to hone from 1610-1620 is practically the same as the cost to hone a brand new character to 1580. Eventualy spending gold on a whole new build is far more efficient for dmg to gold spent

I always star with the easy and obvious stuff. You need a +5 for your +1 engraving. You need +3 for your 2 equipped engravings. Your 5th needs 2 +6
