Not the stuff you have equipped, just the Engraving Support. The Engraving Support effectively overrides any Engravings you have equipped from things like Accessories or your ability stone so long as it is active.

They're basically like the Infinity Stones from the MCU, that hold Arkesia together.
Each Ark has its own respective God whose power is associated with the energy of each Ark.
When the game says "The Ark" it's refering to the combination of all 7 that basically allows you to control all of reality.

Islands give virtues usually from achievements or potions from completing their quests.
The Tour gives you all the virtue rewards from those quests. I think the only time it doesn't is when you need to do special interactions with Rapport npcs but you can always just walk up to them.

There's parts where you may not get virtues, is if the island has achievements that were not completed via the tour

like Werner's "use lamp oil"
