Its not mean, just emphasis. For anyone to be able to help we need information, context, details.

Engravings are effectively like your "spec" in Lost Ark. There is your Class Engraving, every class has two, that sort of defines your playstyle with the class you are playing. Then there are the Combat Engravings, which every class can use, that augment this playstyle.

The "5x3" term you will see used a lot is in reference to having 5 Engravings (your class Engraving + 4 other Combat Engravings) equipped and all of them are at level 3, which is the max level they can be at.

The page arna linked can also be helpful in understanding Engravings.

Yup. Which is why the Engraving Support function from the Super Mokoko Express is very helpful for now, or long absent and now returning players. It gives you access to a 5x3 build for the duration of the event (3 months) so that you can work to building a "true" 5x3 build within that timeframe. Doing that requires gold because you need to be able to buy the Accessories, Ability Stones and Engraving Books (sources of these Engravings equipped on your character normally), and you get gold from doing content. Namely Legion Raids, and Abyssal Dungeons when you are the appropriate ilvl.

Hello,
I am thinking of picking up the game again after hearing these new events for returning player. I left the game when 1490 was maxed back in May 2022 I think. My DB is remaining energy at 1485 when I left. Is there any honing buff beside the supermokoko express? I am thinking of using the elgacia pass for a char and use super mokoko express for it while keeping my DB and try to up its ilvl. Just wondering if theres any honing buff for lower ilvl now

There are, from Stronghold reasearch. You do have to get certain higher ilvls for it, though. With you being 1485 on the DB, however, all you really need to do with that is get it to 1490 (honing up to 1490 does not require gold anymore) and then start completing Brelshaza Normal Mode runs for Ancient gear so you can transfer the Relic gear into the Ancient gear to get ilvl 1510.

As for you using the Super Mokoko Express on a character, again you can simply progress that character to 1490 and the Super Mokoko Express will give you a set of Ancient gear when you hit 1490 (equipping it will bring you to ilvl 1510).

Sources for earning gold:

  • Weekly: 3 Legion Raids (including Kayangel Abyss Dungeon) per character

  • Earn more tokens the higher ilvl your highest character on roster is

Only problem is the 1520 doesn't have engraving support anymore so they're left with trash engravings and can't get into raids. Should I just focus on pushing Breaker with the event or use the gold from breaker to get the other character's engraving as well
