The servers have recently merged. This has moved around some items, but they are not lost.
Step 1. Reclaim your characters from the Universal Storage on the character select screen.
Step 2. Login and claim your cards on the Universal Storage tab on the card menu using ALT+C.
Step 3. Reclaim your roster storage by using ESC and opening Universal Storage.
Step 4. Re-equip your cards as they were reset and must be re-equipped.

I had some specific resource use questions regarding honing with express from 1540-1580 and subsequently to 1600.

1. What should I (and shouldn’t I) be spending gold on? VS just wait and grind from dailies. I’ve been buying a few Books/Orehas up to 1540, but now it’s very expensive so being more careful.

2. Should I always be using books when honing now.

3. For any event chests that have multiple item tiers selectable. Should I be opening then for my current tier, or save them for ONLY the highest tier item. Like the expensive oregas / books, because they’re not used at 1540-1580 yet.

Can craft orehas on your own, start excavating on any t3 area.
Usually just get/use bound mats, you can get gold by selling tradable stuff, if you have enough gold then use all mats you get
Maybe not buy but use all books they give you from the events. No reason to save if you want to get higher ilv no?
Value wise yeah the higher mats are more valuable, but again, mats are to be used, unless you wanna get stuck for a bit because you just wanna save mats for "best value"

usually are close to x2 chance

orehas - most likely its better for you to sell trade skill and buy fusions mats, even for me with quite decked out stronghold margins are too thin

multiple tier - i would not touch leapstone chests, cos diff is huge in price per stone
multiple tier books chest - if you plan push 1600 save that chest, it would help greatly cos game doesnt drop the book anywhere

but over all try to get 1580 cos more gold.

also you can mail jewellery, stone and bracelet without pheon cost to your alts

can you make 3k in 3 hours in game? no - cos you weekly budget is like 15 right.

at the beginning, i just played story over and over and booster chars to get 1370 to do argos
its not hard nor slow, if you came to the game to waste time, there only so much positive progress you can make in the beginning
you always can pay $ to not waste time, but i think its bad place of mind to be, cos if you start put a value of time you intentionally waste with real money
turns out you can pay few buck and dont do dungeons and logical conclusion in the end of it - why do you even login and pay to not play game, if you can just not login and have money and time back.

After merges everything from roster storage dissapeared where can i find all the chests i had?

The servers have recently merged. This has moved around some items, but they are not lost.
Step 1. Reclaim your characters from the Universal Storage on the character select screen.
Step 2. Login and claim your cards on the Universal Storage tab on the card menu using ALT+C.
Step 3. Reclaim your roster storage by using ESC and opening Universal Storage.
Step 4. Re-equip your cards as they were reset and must be re-equipped.

You are all good to go!
