It's difficult to come back to this game and jump right into the newest raids.
Until the 20th of March there is currently no major progression events to really help with your character.
However there are still regular mokoko runs of most content to help you get back into step.

Really just depends on what you want to put in to get out of Lost Ark

full set of ancients is ~2 percent damage, get as many ancients as you can afford without sacrificing quality/ most people end up building half and half for 5x3+1

if you’re doing contents 1580+ rarely anyone is only 5x3

tl;dr all your characters, cards and everything should still be there, but roster storage is now in universal storage.
characters have been taken off the slots and put in a box for you to load them from.
all your character slots you've added got converted to tickets you can re-apply

Chain War Chronicles are great. Three different merchants appear in Luterra that can all sell them, so they're very common

There is technically a minimum contribution required but it's very very very easy to meet. You get rewards 1 time a day from the first kill

Hello @untold elbow , i believe i find myself in a similar situation to onyx. I've just returned and my paladin main is sitting at 1445 legendary gear. I was somehow going to try find busses or learn valtan/vykas for relic gear however you mention a new express event. Will i be able to just wait and use the event on my main to get relic gear and skip the valtan/vykas issue?

@elder tulip unfortunately not, the next week thing is a series of events
the super express itself only give you free 5x3 engravings alongside honing resources that helps you to hone higher and keeps giving you more the higher you hone so honing practically should be very easy to reach 1540

the other event is called Road to Thaemine which helps you progress from 1540 to 1580 very quickly and takes less time and resources from you to hone (you can pity at 50%) so what takes you months to reach normally will take you few weeks and gives you enhanced rewards from clearing the raids, so as before clearing a raid gives you materials ( like the material you need to craft relic gear) so instead of having to do akkan for 3 months to get akkan gear you will get it in 1 month of raiding, same for kayangel and brelshaza

the third thing is a powerpass, this on the other hand the powerpass will boost any character you have from 0 to 1415 instantly and give you relic gear

my honest advise is you start learning valtan/vykas or take a bus whatever works for you to get this relic gear by yourself, and use the powerpass on a different character so you can end up with 2 chars

By the time elgacia came around a lot of this stuff was stuff that would have been long done. Its unfortunatly a bottleneck for a brand new account.
you can start them by searching for them in your quest menu "J" and just locating them. Follow prequests back in the chain until you find the start

Just run around and throw your skills in different places away from yourself so you're killing as many mobs on spawn as possible

The only reason someone would do that is to ragehone/content create for hard mode raids
