They got combined and it now goes from 500-1250.
Al the gear that existed on the old track got converted to 1250.

It will be a good class for working on roster unlocks, side content and getting a lot of basic things in place.
With where you are at the moment anyhow, it would be easier using the upcoming express event to jump forward to higher levels and gear.
The express event will let you pick which class you want to do that for.
Your sorc that has reached this point already is still worthwhile doing the main story for unlocks.
It will be hard to raid with because of how popular it was at launch, a large amount were made as fodder classes and unless you're overgeared and completely maxed out there will be players with more appealing sorcs, if a leader is actually willing to take them.

The express events come with engraving support. That event and engravings will expire after a time and you’ll have to get a normal build.

That was exclusively from the Super Mokoko Express Engraving Support, we won't see another of those events until this coming month, March, when Breaker releases.

Basically Engraving Support is there for the duration of the event, typically 3 months, to give you time to actually do the content to get the gold you need to build "true" 5x3 for your character.

you can party up with peeps (learning groups when you are a first timer please) or just buy a carry (not recommended but some lazy people just do it anyway)

that's far up in the story, combat lv becomes irrelevant and the main one is item level

as of now we dont have any boosting events, one will come at march, makes you be able to skip the whole leveling process and puts you at endgame asap

Getting to level 50 is the most straightforward thing; Do Main Story Quests (these transition into World Quests after a certain point) straight up to level 50.
