Each gate is a checkpoint, and most people do certain gates all in one go. You cannot redo the same gate in the same week on the same character. So people will get stuck not being able to clear at a certain gate for one reason or another. That’s a jail.

Very important piece of information; Do not hone Relic gear beyond +15.

Once you get +15 on all pieces of your Relic gear you should start doing the Brelshaza Legion Raid to start getting your Ancient gear set. At that point you'll be able to transfers the +15 Relic gear (which is 1490 ilvl) into the Ancient gear which will make the Ancient gear +12 and 1510 ilvl so you actually gain ilvl without having to do the honing.

As arna said, for the time being you're good with just throwing on accessories with the hgiher stats and not worrying about which engravings they have on them since you're using the Engraving Support (which ends on Feb 7th) but you will need to make a "real" 5x3 build for when the event does end. Or at least try to. Not exactly cheap, unfortunately.

You get honing materials from Chaos Dungeons and Guardian Raids, you need to do the right ilvl ones to get the right materials for the gear you have.

For starters, literally no one does normal mode, second, the relic gear you get from the powerpass will serve you all the way to 1490 (all pieces +15), third, you can look for people to raid with on the lfg discords linked above, fifth, you have to be 1445 to enter the first raid, coz again no one does normal mode, sixth, grab the super mokoko event so you can hone faster with free mats, seventh, I skipped fourth, eight, make sure to read your class guide so you are prepared, skills, combat stats etc, and ⛺ never matchmake legion raids
