You have to do valtan hard/vykas hard to finsih your relic set. That part is mandatory.
You COULD, assuming you can find a group, do brel 1-2 now that your 1490 and convert your current 2 relic pieces to ancient
but you have to go through relic first

People often don't realize; it is at least 131k gold on average to push your main from 1510 to 1580, even with the Express event and Path active. Then it is probably at least another 70k~ gold for your 5x3 depending on your class. Thats roughly 200k+ gold for a single character. Add in just getting an alt 5x3? More gold.

If you’re not in a rush to get to most current content (which has its own hurdles to get past), I’d do the dailies/event stuff to get you materials.
Then use what characters you have so far to slowly carve out things like giant’s hearts, islands etc to gain your skill potions. Don’t need too many or to go so hard but will also give you skill runes and passive bonuses that will boost you up

just your dailie 2chaos and 1 guardian. each run gives them to you. after your 2 chaos and 1 guardian doing them anymore on the same character wont give you more. the rewards(event stars) is per character
so if you have 1 character, that's 3 total runs(2chaos, 1 guardian) that gives it to you, if you have 3 characters, that's 9 (3 * 3=9)

But if your char is still 500 you're making a big leap in catching up with the powerpass
You're welcome, of course, to use it on an alt and just grind your main up manually. It will take a bit though.
