Armor exclusive pieces only give point when they are on the correct armor slot. So with boss that piece would be a 5/0 instead of 5/1 with weapon power

Honestly I have no idea. I'm guessing magic abilities do magic DMG but I've never paid much attention to that so I doubt I'm correct
But they do both. I'm guessing gate 3 would be mostly physical but he breaths fire. Maybe elemental skills do magic
But defensive on chest is good during learning or if ur dying easily. But other wise it's best to have 2 good common stats like weapon power/atk/strength or another throw away options that helps get you 35-40set

Up to 1490 requires no gold for honing so its typically not too difficult to get to with an alt, and again people will consistently just use free Power Passes when they become available. They are usually given out during a new class release, such as the current Souleater one and the upcoming Breaker release in March.
