Tbh the best advice for this game is always play the class you think is the most fun.
Every class & spec is more than good enough to clear content. Even the weakest. There are frequest balance patches and the meta comes and goes easily.
Because lost ark is by nature a heavy time investment game it can be very very difficult to main swap on a whim

Starting out there will be a lot of horizontal/side content to do to help build your characters power

Every class needs investment in that stuff in their own way

Horizontal content that unlocks stuff like runes isnt really a grind thats dependent on class. Their typically from content thats extremely straightforward and easy but gated behind heavy rng

Also typically when people talk about requirments for a class they are concidering the best of the best gear to work towards. On a basic level most classes are very comparable for cost/investment to build up.

iam a world of warcraft player and from wow i know, if you dont play meta or didnt clear the content 10 times in the first week you will never find a group xD maybe i am a little bit afflicted by that haha.

WoW isnt so different at times. One big challenge with lost ark is getting into raid parties. People want the best of the best and if youre not it, well you might be looking for a bit. Raids in LOA have titles that are locked behind clearing the raid 10 times and its common to only accept people into groups wth the title

Almost all relevent group content is REGION wide. Meaning you can raid with people from any server. Server population is nice for some things tho. Makes the world feel busy. More people to do localized group content

I think the biggest EU servers are Kadan, Thirain, Zinnervale

Idk about Astas population

Personally Im a dead-ass server in NAE. Its a struggle to complete some horiztonal content like Island Events. But the devs have been slowly moving a lot of that stuff to region wide matchmaking as well

It is probably the biggest hurdle for new players to overcome. I wont lie it is challenging. But I wouldnt let that dissuade you too much. Every game ultimately has its issues. Finding groups for learning or to form a static raid group makes a world of difference tho. Someone just linked the LFG command above if youre interested

I understand titles, cos it is a prove of previous accomplishments, but finding more and more suttle things - that killing a game, and would kill it.

Yday i accepted 1 mokoko with 2 engravings to valtan ~1520+ and when people asked why they had only 2 engravings, one person asked in chat "omg 2 engravings where am i" and left, 3 more followed upon.
Turns out dude was new player, and they said trade was not enabled yet on account so he was waiting to fix it, and somehow mokoko express dint enabled engraving support for him by default so they didnt even know it existed, enabled it on a spot there and was very happy for how much gold it saved.

The "omg freaking noobs" would kill the game.

Year ago on valtan release i pushed char to be valtan ready and all others parked enough to be gold source, then finished it few times and dropped game.
Two month ago i returned, and you get ticked with 1415 gear in the mail.

As some one who’s been enjoying the game for a bit now but isn’t super end game (1600+) on any of my characters yet. Is achieving a character/s thats 1620-1640 with all lvl 10 gems even achievable for someone who’s f2p and doesn’t run tons of busses every week on each character? The gold generation per week as someone who does everything on 4 characters every day just seems so insanely minimal compared to something like full lvl 10s and 9/7 stones and stuff. Feels so out of reach

Well I dabbled a little in the game back before Brel came out and the gold value was astronomically different. There was 3-4x the amount of gold to be made and swimming around but gems pretty much costed the same then as they do now. So like if u were just making gold then and invested in gems then, ur 10x better off than someone trying to do it now it seems. Interms of not swiping for it

Who you would do your gold earning raids on, yes. The games endgame content is primarily centered around Legion Raids and Abyssal Dungeons right now. Each of these pieces of content reward gold. A single character can earn gold from 3 of those pieces of content a week and a total of 6 characters can earn gold.

This is not required for you to progress, however. Focusing on your main is more than enough, if you want to make an alt due to enjoyment of a class then you are welcome to do so.

Alts are an investment, they take up more and more resources the higher in ilvl you push them after getting to a certain point in endgame content. This takes things away from your main.

These are only able to be acquired once on your account. The other free one is the South Vern Power Pass which is from Souleater releasing. This one brings a character to ilvl 1415.

You need to be sure of which one you've used.

That guide will be of help for figuring out which set you should be using, but prior to that you should look in your Journal (shortcut J) and go to the Guide tab. You should find a quest in there about Gear Conversion. Do that real quick and it will unlock the ability for you to change the set of the gear you are currently using.

You can select up to 6 characters on roster to earn gold from Legion Raids, Abyssal Dungeons, and Abyss Raids.
Sources for earning gold:

• Weekly: 3 Legion Raids (including Kayangel Abyss Dungeon) per character
• Weekly: Una Tokens exchange for gold chests
• Earn more tokens the higher ilvl your highest character on roster is
• Gain tokens by completing Daily Una Tasks and Weekly Una Tasks
• Weekly token limit is shared by characters
• You cannot redo daily una on alts but u can complete different ones to gain tokens
• Recommended to exchange for 500 token gold chest for chance at 10k gold
• Adventure Island Gold reward (occurs multiple times per month, gold amount scales with ilvl)
• Fate Ember random drop from Chaos Dungeons/Guardian Raids has a chance of giving gold
• Life Skilling
• Sell tradeable items on Marketplace/Auction House
• Guild Event/GvG distribution

Well at 1415 you should be able to pick up the Super Mokoko Express on that character and it will give you some materials to hopefully bump you up high enough to jsut do Hard Mode Valtan at that point

Well average just means average, it isn't the precise amount you will be using necessarily to upgrade

The only options there that are "precise" are Best case and Worst case

Best case being you one tapped everything and worse case being everything pitied
