this might be a dumb question but why does a weekly maintaince that isnt adding content need 4 hrs downtime? feel like this is the only game i see that lvl of weekly downtime needed for nothing the player will see

we dont get a copy paste version of kr

a lot of shit needs to be done and prepared in advance for future patches

otherwise patch days may take 12hr+ every time, even more for big ones

Wasnt meaning it as a shot at any dev or anyone apart of the team. All we have to look at and compare to is other games in the space and lost ark seems unique in both downtime rate and length. So i was just curious thats all meant no harm

as an active player of wow it does not have 4hrs of downtime weekly but i actually wasnt going to use wow as an example bc they have a ptr server which makes having less downtime on main client when adding big things a lot easier so i didnt think it was fair

and even then a lot of stuff still is broken and they need extra time to fix

its such a mess

if amazon was the actual owner of the game maybe such big downtimes would not be needed

And yet it still has weekly downtime, and often times Lost Ark isn't even down for the entire 4 hours. It pretty frequently returns back to active status before that.

I get that it can be frustrating that it can interrupt your play time but this is not anything new, you know its coming and there are plenty of reasons for it.

which would you go for tome completion first out of punika/south vern/rowen/elgacia/voldis?

Rowen will take you a decent amount of time and a lot of silvers south Vern is very bad for 1 cooking ingredient , elgacia and voldis are fun

Punika is bad only for the banana but south Vern is worse

Maybe I would start with the worst , southvern
